KJV 2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
VULC 2 [Audite verba pacti hujus,
et loquimini ad viros Juda,
et ad habitatores Jerusalem,
WLC 2 שִׁמְע֕וּ אֶת־ דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֑את וְדִבַּרְתָּם֙ אֶל־ אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וְעַל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
KJV 3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,

WLC 3 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אָר֣וּר הָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יִשְׁמַ֔ע אֶת־ דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֥ית הַזֹּֽאת׃
KJV 4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
VULC 4 quod præcepi patribus vestris,
in die qua eduxi eos de terra Ægypti,
de fornace ferrea, dicens :
Audite vocem meam, et facite omnia quæ præcipio vobis,
et eritis mihi in populum,
et ego ero vobis in Deum :
WLC 4 אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֣יתִי אֶת־ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֡ם בְּי֣וֹם הוֹצִיאִֽי־ אוֹתָ֣ם מֵאֶֽרֶץ־ מִצְרַיִם֩ מִכּ֨וּר הַבַּרְזֶ֜ל לֵאמֹ֗ר שִׁמְע֤וּ בְקוֹלִי֙ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם אוֹתָ֔ם כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ אֲצַוֶּ֖ה אֶתְכֶ֑ם וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
KJV 5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
VULC 5 ut suscitem juramentum quod juravi patribus vestris,
daturum me eis terram fluentem lacte et melle,
sicut est dies hæc.] Et respondi, et dixi : Amen, Domine.

KJV 6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
VULC 6 Et dixit Dominus ad me : [Vociferare omnia verba hæc in civitatibus Juda,
et foris Jerusalem, dicens :
Audite verba pacti hujus, et facite illa,
WLC 6 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י קְרָ֨א אֶת־ כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְחֻצ֥וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֗וּ אֶת־ דִּבְרֵי֙ הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֔את וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אוֹתָֽם׃
KJV 7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
VULC 7 quia contestans contestatus sum patres vestros,
in die qua eduxi eos de terra Ægypti, usque ad diem hanc :
mane consurgens contestatus sum,
et dixi : Audite vocem meam.
WLC 7 כִּי֩ הָעֵ֨ד הַעִדֹ֜תִי בַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם בְּיוֹם֩ הַעֲלוֹתִ֨י אוֹתָ֜ם מֵאֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ וְעַד־ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְהָעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֖וּ בְּקוֹלִֽי׃
KJV 8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not.
VULC 8 Et non audierunt, nec inclinaverunt aurem suam,
sed abierunt, unusquisque in pravitate cordis sui mali :
et induxi super eos omnia verba pacti hujus
quod præcepi ut facerent,
et non fecerunt.]
WLC 8 וְלֹ֤א שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ וְלֹֽא־ הִטּ֣וּ אֶת־ אָזְנָ֔ם וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ אִ֕ישׁ בִּשְׁרִיר֖וּת לִבָּ֣ם הָרָ֑ע וָאָבִ֨יא עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶֽת־ כָּל־ דִּבְרֵ֧י הַבְּרִית־ הַזֹּ֛את אֲשֶׁר־ צִוִּ֥יתִי לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א עָשֽׂוּ׃
KJV 9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
VULC 9 Et dixit Dominus ad me : [Inventa est conjuratio in viris Juda et in habitatoribus Jerusalem.
WLC 9 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י נִֽמְצָא־ קֶ֙שֶׁר֙ בְּאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
KJV 10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
VULC 10 Reversi sunt ad iniquitates patrum suorum priores,
qui noluerunt audire verba mea :
et hi ergo abierunt post deos alienos, ut servirent eis :
irritum fecerunt domus Israël et domus Juda pactum meum
quod pepigi cum patribus eorum.
WLC 10 שָׁ֩בוּ֩ עַל־ עֲוֺנֹ֨ת אֲבוֹתָ֜ם הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מֵֽאֲנוּ֙ לִשְׁמ֣וֹעַ אֶת־ דְּבָרַ֔י וְהֵ֣מָּה הָלְכ֗וּ אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים לְעָבְדָ֑ם הֵפֵ֤רוּ בֵֽית־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶת־ בְּרִיתִ֕י אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּרַ֖תִּי אֶת־ אֲבוֹתָֽם׃
KJV 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
VULC 11 Quam ob rem hæc dicit Dominus :
Ecce ego inducam super eos mala
de quibus exire non poterunt :
et clamabunt ad me, et non exaudiam eos.
WLC 11 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֤יא אֲלֵיהֶם֙ רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ יוּכְל֖וּ לָצֵ֣את מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְזָעֲק֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְלֹ֥א אֶשְׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
KJV 12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
VULC 12 Et ibunt civitates Juda et habitatores Jerusalem,
et clamabunt ad deos quibus libant,
et non salvabunt eos in tempore afflictionis eorum.
WLC 12 וְהָֽלְכ֞וּ עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה וְיֹשְׁבֵי֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְזָֽעֲקוּ֙ אֶל־ הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֛ר הֵ֥ם מְקַטְּרִ֖ים לָהֶ֑ם וְהוֹשֵׁ֛עַ לֹֽא־ יוֹשִׁ֥יעוּ לָהֶ֖ם בְּעֵ֥ת רָעָתָֽם׃
KJV 13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.
VULC 13 Secundum numerum enim civitatum tuarum
erant dii tui, Juda :
et secundum numerum viarum Jerusalem,
posuisti aras confusionis,
aras ad libandum Baalim.
WLC 13 כִּ֚י מִסְפַּ֣ר עָרֶ֔יךָ הָי֥וּ אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ יְהוּדָ֑ה וּמִסְפַּ֞ר חֻצ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם שַׂמְתֶּ֤ם מִזְבְּחוֹת֙ לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת מִזְבְּח֖וֹת לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃
KJV 14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
VULC 14 Tu ergo noli orare pro populo hoc,
et ne assumas pro eis laudem et orationem,
quia non exaudiam in tempore clamoris eorum ad me,
in tempore afflictionis eorum.
WLC 14 וְאַתָּ֗ה אַל־ תִּתְפַּלֵּל֙ בְּעַד־ הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאַל־ תִּשָּׂ֥א בַעֲדָ֖ם רִנָּ֣ה וּתְפִלָּ֑ה כִּ֣י אֵינֶ֣נִּי שֹׁמֵ֗עַ בְּעֵ֛ת קָרְאָ֥ם אֵלַ֖י בְּעַ֥ד רָעָתָֽם׃
KJV 15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
VULC 15 Quid est, quod dilectus meus in domo mea fecit scelera multa ?
numquid carnes sanctæ auferent a te malitias tuas,
in quibus gloriata es ?
WLC 15 מֶ֣ה לִֽידִידִ֞י בְּבֵיתִ֗י עֲשׂוֹתָ֤הּ הַֽמְזִמָּ֙תָה֙ הָֽרַבִּ֔ים וּבְשַׂר־ קֹ֖דֶשׁ יַעַבְר֣וּ מֵֽעָלָ֑יִךְ כִּ֥י רָעָתֵ֖כִי אָ֥ז תַּעֲלֹֽזִי׃
KJV 16 The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
VULC 16 Olivam uberem, pulchram, fructiferam, speciosam,
vocavit Dominus nomen tuum :
ad vocem loquelæ, grandis exarsit ignis in ea,
et combusta sunt fruteta ejus.
WLC 16 זַ֤יִת רַֽעֲנָן֙ יְפֵ֣ה פְרִי־ תֹ֔אַר קָרָ֥א יְהוָ֖ה שְׁמֵ֑ךְ לְק֣וֹל ׀ הֲמוּלָּ֣ה גְדֹלָ֗ה הִצִּ֥ית אֵשׁ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְרָע֖וּ דָּלִיּוֹתָֽיו׃
KJV 17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
VULC 17 Et Dominus exercituum, qui plantavit te,
locutus est super te malum,
pro malis domus Israël, et domus Juda,
quæ fecerunt sibi ad irritandum me,
libantes Baalim.]
WLC 17 וַיהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ הַנּוֹטֵ֣עַ אוֹתָ֔ךְ דִּבֶּ֥ר עָלַ֖יִךְ רָעָ֑ה בִּ֠גְלַל רָעַ֨ת בֵּֽית־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם לְהַכְעִסֵ֖נִי לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃
KJV 18 And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then thou shewedst me their doings.
VULC 18 [Tu autem, Domine, demonstrasti mihi, et cognovi :
tunc ostendisti mihi studia eorum.
WLC 18 וַֽיהוָ֥ה הֽוֹדִיעַ֖נִי וָֽאֵדָ֑עָה אָ֖ז הִרְאִיתַ֥נִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃
KJV 19 But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
VULC 19 Et ego quasi agnus mansuetus,
qui portatur ad victimam :
et non cognovi quia cogitaverunt super me consilia, dicentes :
Mittamus lignum in panem ejus,
et eradamus eum de terra viventium,
et nomen ejus non memoretur amplius.
WLC 19 וַאֲנִ֕י כְּכֶ֥בֶשׂ אַלּ֖וּף יוּבַ֣ל לִטְב֑וֹחַ וְלֹֽא־ יָדַ֜עְתִּי כִּֽי־ עָלַ֣י ׀ חָשְׁב֣וּ מַחֲשָׁב֗וֹת נַשְׁחִ֨יתָה עֵ֤ץ בְּלַחְמוֹ֙ וְנִכְרְתֶ֙נּוּ֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ חַיִּ֔ים וּשְׁמ֖וֹ לֹֽא־ יִזָּכֵ֥ר עֽוֹד׃
KJV 20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
VULC 20 Tu autem, Domine Sabaoth, qui judicas juste,
et probas renes et corda,
videam ultionem tuam ex eis :
tibi enim revelavi causam meam.
WLC 20 וַֽיהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ שֹׁפֵ֣ט צֶ֔דֶק בֹּחֵ֥ן כְּלָי֖וֹת וָלֵ֑ב אֶרְאֶ֤ה נִקְמָֽתְךָ֙ מֵהֶ֔ם כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֖יךָ גִּלִּ֥יתִי אֶת־ רִיבִֽי׃
KJV 21 Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:
VULC 21 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus ad viros Anathoth,
qui quærunt animam tuam, et dicunt :
Non prophetabis in nomine Domini,
et non morieris in manibus nostris :
WLC 21 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ עַל־ אַנְשֵׁ֣י עֲנָת֔וֹת הַֽמְבַקְשִׁ֥ים אֶֽת־ נַפְשְׁךָ֖ לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א תִנָּבֵא֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א תָמ֖וּת בְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃
KJV 22 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
VULC 22 propterea hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :
Ecce ego visitabo super eos :
juvenes morientur in gladio ;
filii eorum et filiæ eorum morientur in fame.
WLC 22 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י פֹקֵ֖ד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם הַבַּֽחוּרִים֙ יָמֻ֣תוּ בַחֶ֔רֶב בְּנֵיהֶם֙ וּבְנ֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם יָמֻ֖תוּ בָּרָעָֽב׃
KJV 23 And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.

inducam enim malum super viros Anathoth,
annum visitationis eorum.]
