KJV ⁹ Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

MAR ⁹ A cause des Prophètes mon coeur est brisé au dedans de moi, tous mes os en tremblent, je suis comme un homme ivre, et comme un homme que le vin a surmonté, à cause de l'Eternel, et à cause des paroles de sa sainteté.

WLC ⁹ לַנְּבִאִ֞ים נִשְׁבַּ֧ר לִבִּ֣י בְקִרְבִּ֗י רָֽחֲפוּ֙ כָּל־ עַצְמוֹתַ֔י הָיִ֙יתִי֙ כְּאִ֣ישׁ שִׁכּ֔וֹר וּכְגֶ֖בֶר עֲבָ֣רוֹ יָ֑יִן מִפְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּמִפְּנֵ֖י דִּבְרֵ֥י קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃

KJV ¹⁰ For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

MAR ¹⁰ Car le pays est rempli [d'hommes] adultères, et le pays mène deuil à cause des exécrations : les pâturages du désert sont devenus tous secs, l'oppression de ces gens est mauvaise, et leur force n'est pas en faveur de l'équité.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֤י מְנָֽאֲפִים֙ מָלְאָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּֽי־ מִפְּנֵ֤י אָלָה֙ אָבְלָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ יָבְשׁ֖וּ נְא֣וֹת מִדְבָּ֑ר וַתְּהִ֤י מְרֽוּצָתָם֙ רָעָ֔ה וּגְבוּרָתָ֖ם לֹא־ כֵֽן׃

KJV ¹¹ For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

MAR ¹¹ Car le Prophète et le Sacrificateur se contrefont ; j'ai même trouvé dans ma maison leur méchanceté, dit l'Eternel.

WLC ¹¹ כִּֽי־ גַם־ נָבִ֥יא גַם־ כֹּהֵ֖ן חָנֵ֑פוּ גַּם־ בְּבֵיתִ֛י מָצָ֥אתִי רָעָתָ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ¹² Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

MAR ¹² C'est pourquoi leur voie sera comme des lieux glissants dans les ténèbres, ils y seront poussés, et y tomberont ; car je ferai venir du mal sur eux, [en] l'année de leur visitation, dit l'Eternel.

WLC ¹² לָכֵן֩ יִֽהְיֶ֨ה דַרְכָּ֜ם לָהֶ֗ם כַּחֲלַקְלַקּוֹת֙ בָּֽאֲפֵלָ֔ה יִדַּ֖חוּ וְנָ֣פְלוּ בָ֑הּ כִּֽי־ אָבִ֨יא עֲלֵיהֶ֥ם רָעָ֛ה שְׁנַ֥ת פְּקֻדָּתָ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ¹³ And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

WLC ¹³ וּבִנְבִיאֵ֥י שֹׁמְר֖וֹן רָאִ֣יתִי תִפְלָ֑ה הִנַּבְּא֣וּ בַבַּ֔עַל וַיַּתְע֥וּ אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ¹⁴ I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

MAR ¹⁴ Mais j'ai vu des choses énormes dans les Prophètes de Jérusalem ; car ils commettent des adultères, et ils marchent dans le mensonge ; ils ont donné main forte aux hommes injustes et pas un ne s'est détourné de sa malice ; ils me sont tous comme Sodome, et les habitants de la ville, comme Gomorrhe.

WLC ¹⁴ וּבִנְבִאֵ֨י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם רָאִ֣יתִי שַׁעֲרוּרָ֗ה נָא֞וֹף וְהָלֹ֤ךְ בַּשֶּׁ֙קֶר֙ וְחִזְּקוּ֙ יְדֵ֣י מְרֵעִ֔ים לְבִ֨לְתִּי־ שָׁ֔בוּ אִ֖ישׁ מֵרָֽעָת֑וֹ הָֽיוּ־ לִ֤י כֻלָּם֙ כִּסְדֹ֔ם וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ כַּעֲמֹרָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁵ Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

MAR ¹⁵ C'est pourquoi, ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées touchant ces Prophètes : voici, je m'en vais leur faire manger de l'absinthe, et leur faire boire de l'eau de fiel ; parce que la profanation s'est répandue des Prophètes de Jérusalem par tout le pays.

KJV ¹⁶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

MAR ¹⁶ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées : n'écoutez point les paroles des Prophètes qui vous prophétisent ; ils vous font devenir vains, ils prononcent la vision de leur coeur, [et] ils ne [la tiennent] pas de la bouche de l'Eternel.

KJV ¹⁷ They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

MAR ¹⁷ Ils ne cessent de dire à ceux qui me méprisent : l'Eternel a dit : vous aurez la paix ; et ils disent à tous ceux qui marchent dans la dureté de leur coeur : il ne vous arrivera point de mal.

KJV ¹⁸ For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

MAR ¹⁸ Car qui s'est trouvé au conseil secret de l'Eternel ? et qui a aperçu et ouï sa parole ? qui a été attentif à sa parole, et l'a ouïe ?

KJV ¹⁹ Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

MAR ¹⁹ Voici la tempête de l'Eternel, sa fureur va se montrer, et le tourbillon prêt à fondre tombera sur la tête des méchants.

WLC ¹⁹ הִנֵּ֣ה ׀ סַעֲרַ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה חֵמָה֙ יָֽצְאָ֔ה וְסַ֖עַר מִתְחוֹלֵ֑ל עַ֛ל רֹ֥אשׁ רְשָׁעִ֖ים יָחֽוּל׃

KJV ²⁰ The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

MAR ²⁰ La colère de l'Eternel ne sera point détournée qu'il n'ait exécuté et mis en effet les pensées de son coeur ; vous aurez une claire intelligence de ceci sur la fin des jours.

WLC ²⁰ לֹ֤א יָשׁוּב֙ אַף־ יְהוָ֔ה עַד־ עֲשֹׂת֥וֹ וְעַד־ הֲקִימ֖וֹ מְזִמּ֣וֹת לִבּ֑וֹ בְּאַֽחֲרִית֙ הַיָּמִ֔ים תִּתְבּ֥וֹנְנוּ בָ֖הּ בִּינָֽה׃

KJV ²¹ I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

MAR ²¹ Je n'ai point envoyé ces Prophètes-là, et ils ont couru ; je ne leur ai point parlé, et ils ont prophétisé.

WLC ²¹ לֹא־ שָׁלַ֥חְתִּי אֶת־ הַנְּבִאִ֖ים וְהֵ֣ם רָ֑צוּ לֹא־ דִבַּ֥רְתִּי אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם וְהֵ֥ם נִבָּֽאוּ׃

KJV ²² But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

MAR ²² S'ils s'étaient trouvés dans mon conseil secret, ils auraient aussi fait entendre mes paroles à mon peuple, et ils les auraient détournés de leur mauvais train, et de la malice de leurs actions.

WLC ²² וְאִֽם־ עָמְד֖וּ בְּסוֹדִ֑י וְיַשְׁמִ֤עוּ דְבָרַי֙ אֶת־ עַמִּ֔י וִֽישִׁבוּם֙ מִדַּרְכָּ֣ם הָרָ֔ע וּמֵרֹ֖עַ מַֽעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

KJV ²³ Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

MAR ²³ Suis-je un Dieu de près, dit l'Eternel, et ne suis-je point aussi un Dieu de loin ?

WLC ²³ הַאֱלֹהֵ֧י מִקָּרֹ֛ב אָ֖נִי נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹ֥א אֱלֹהֵ֖י מֵרָחֹֽק׃

KJV ²⁴ Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

MAR ²⁴ Quelqu'un se pourra-t-il cacher dans quelque retraite, que je ne le voie point ? dit l'Eternel. Ne remplis-je pas, moi, les cieux et la terre ? dit l'Eternel.

WLC ²⁴ אִם־ יִסָּתֵ֨ר אִ֧ישׁ בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֛ים וַאֲנִ֥י לֹֽא־ אֶרְאֶ֖נּוּ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה הֲל֨וֹא אֶת־ הַשָּׁמַ֧יִם וְאֶת־ הָאָ֛רֶץ אֲנִ֥י מָלֵ֖א נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²⁵ I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

WLC ²⁵ שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי אֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־ אָֽמְרוּ֙ הַנְּבִאִ֔ים הַֽנִּבְּאִ֥ים בִּשְׁמִ֛י שֶׁ֖קֶר לֵאמֹ֑ר חָלַ֖מְתִּי חָלָֽמְתִּי׃

KJV ²⁶ How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

MAR ²⁶ Jusques à quand ceci sera-t-il au coeur des Prophètes qui prophétisent le mensonge, et qui prophétisent la tromperie de leur coeur ?

WLC ²⁶ עַד־ מָתַ֗י הֲיֵ֛שׁ בְּלֵ֥ב הַנְּבִאִ֖ים נִבְּאֵ֣י הַשָּׁ֑קֶר וּנְבִיאֵ֖י תַּרְמִ֥ת לִבָּֽם׃

KJV ²⁷ Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

MAR ²⁷ Qui pensent comment ils feront oublier mon Nom à mon peuple, par les songes qu'un chacun d'eux récite à son compagnon, comme leurs pères ont oublié mon Nom pour Bahal.

WLC ²⁷ הַחֹשְׁבִ֗ים לְהַשְׁכִּ֤יחַ אֶת־ עַמִּי֙ שְׁמִ֔י בַּחֲל֣וֹמֹתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְסַפְּר֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ לְרֵעֵ֑הוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁכְח֧וּ אֲבוֹתָ֛ם אֶת־ שְׁמִ֖י בַּבָּֽעַל׃

KJV ²⁸ The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

MAR ²⁸ Que le Prophète par devers lequel est le songe, récite le songe ; et que celui par devers lequel est ma parole, profère ma parole en vérité. Quelle [convenance y a-t-il] de la paille avec le froment ? dit l'Eternel.

KJV ²⁹ Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

MAR ²⁹ Ma parole n'est-elle pas comme un feu, dit l'Eternel ; et comme un marteau qui brise la pierre ?

WLC ²⁹ הֲל֨וֹא כֹ֧ה דְבָרִ֛י כָּאֵ֖שׁ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וּכְפַטִּ֖ישׁ יְפֹ֥צֵֽץ סָֽלַע׃

KJV ³⁰ Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

MAR ³⁰ C'est pourquoi voici, j'en veux aux Prophètes, dit l'Eternel, qui dérobent mes paroles, chacun de son prochain.

KJV ³¹ Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

WLC ³¹ הִנְנִ֥י עַל־ הַנְּבִיאִ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה הַלֹּקְחִ֣ים לְשׁוֹנָ֔ם וַֽיִּנְאֲמ֖וּ נְאֻֽם׃

KJV ³² Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

MAR ³² Voici, j'en veux à ceux qui prophétisent des songes de fausseté, dit l'Eternel, et qui les récitent, et font égarer mon peuple par leurs mensonges, et par leur témérité, quoique je ne les aie point envoyés, et que je ne leur aie point donné de charge ; c'est pourquoi ils ne profiteront de rien à ce peuple, dit l'Eternel.

WLC ³² הִ֠נְנִי עַֽל־ נִבְּאֵ֞י חֲלֹמ֥וֹת שֶׁ֙קֶר֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וַֽיְסַפְּרוּם֙ וַיַּתְע֣וּ אֶת־ עַמִּ֔י בְּשִׁקְרֵיהֶ֖ם וּבְפַחֲזוּתָ֑ם וְאָנֹכִ֨י לֹֽא־ שְׁלַחְתִּ֜ים וְלֹ֣א צִוִּיתִ֗ים וְהוֹעֵ֛יל לֹֽא־ יוֹעִ֥ילוּ לָֽעָם־ הַזֶּ֖ה נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃
