BCC ¹ La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie touchant tout le peuple de Juda, en la quatrième année de Joakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, ‒ c'était la première année de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone ;

KJV ¹ The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;

WLC ¹ הַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־ הָיָ֤ה עַֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ עַל־ כָּל־ עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־ יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֗יא הַשָּׁנָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ית לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃

BCC ² parole que Jérémie prononça sur tout le peuple de Juda et pour tous les habitants de Jérusalem, en ces termes :

KJV ² The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,

WLC ² אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֜ר יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַנָּבִיא֙ עַל־ כָּל־ עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶ֛ל כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ³ Depuis la treizième année de Josias, fils d'Amon, roi de Juda, jusqu'à ce jour, voici vingt-trois ans que la parole de Jéhovah m'a été adressée et que je vous ai parlé, vous parlant dès le matin, et que vous n'avez pas écouté !

KJV ³ From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.

WLC ³ מִן־ שְׁלֹ֣שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֡ה לְיֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־ אָמוֹן֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֜ה וְעַ֣ד ׀ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה זֶ֚ה שָׁלֹ֤שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י וָאֲדַבֵּ֧ר אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם אַשְׁכֵּ֥ים וְדַבֵּ֖ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃

BCC ⁴ Jéhovah vous a envoyé tous ses serviteurs les prophètes, les envoyant dès le matin, et vous n'avez pas écouté, et vous n'avez pas prêté l'oreille pour entendre.

KJV ⁴ And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

WLC ⁴ וְשָׁלַח֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֜ם אֶֽת־ כָּל־ עֲבָדָ֧יו הַנְּבִאִ֛ים הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹֽא־ הִטִּיתֶ֥ם אֶֽת־ אָזְנְכֶ֖ם לִשְׁמֹֽעַ׃

BCC ⁵ Il disait : "retirez-vous chacun de votre mauvaise voie et de la méchanceté de vos actions, et ainsi vous habiterez d'âge en âge dans le pays que Jéhovah a donné à vous et à vos pères.

KJV ⁵ They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

WLC ⁵ לֵאמֹ֗ר שֽׁוּבוּ־ נָ֞א אִ֣ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֤וֹ הָֽרָעָה֙ וּמֵרֹ֣עַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ עַל־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם לְמִן־ עוֹלָ֖ם וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

BCC ⁶ N'allez pas après d'autres dieux pour les servir et les adorer, ne m'irritez pas par l'ouvrage de vos mains, et je ne vous ferai aucun mal.

KJV ⁶ And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.

WLC ⁶ וְאַל־ תֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעָבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא־ תַכְעִ֤יסוּ אוֹתִי֙ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א אָרַ֖ע לָכֶֽם׃

BCC ⁷ Mais vous ne m'avez pas écouté, dit Jéhovah, afin de m'irriter par l'oeuvre de vos mains, pour votre malheur.

KJV ⁷ Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

WLC ⁷ וְלֹֽא־ שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה לְמַ֧עַן בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיכֶ֖ם לְרַ֥ע לָכֶֽם׃

BCC ⁸ C'est pourquoi ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées : parce que vous n'avez pas écouté mes paroles,

KJV ⁸ Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,

WLC ⁸ לָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת יַ֕עַן אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֶת־ דְּבָרָֽי׃

BCC ⁹ j'enverrai et je prendrai toutes les tribus du septentrion, dit Jéhovah, et je les amènerai à Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur ; je les ferai venir contre ce pays et contre ses habitants, et contre toutes les nations d'alentour ; que je frapperai d'anathème, et dont je ferai une solitude, un objet de moquerie, une ruine éternelle.

KJV ⁹ Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

WLC ⁹ הִנְנִ֣י שֹׁלֵ֡חַ וְלָקַחְתִּי֩ אֶת־ כָּל־ מִשְׁפְּח֨וֹת צָפ֜וֹן נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶל־ נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶל֮ עַבְדִּי֒ וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים עַל־ הָאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ וְעַל־ יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ וְעַ֛ל כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֖לֶּה סָבִ֑יב וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים וְשַׂמְתִּים֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה וּלְחָרְב֖וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

BCC ¹⁰ Je ferai disparaître du milieu d'eux les accents de la joie et la voix de l'allégresse, les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée, le bruit de la meule et la lumière de la lampe.

KJV ¹⁰ Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.

WLC ¹⁰ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י מֵהֶ֗ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּ֑ה ק֥וֹל רֵחַ֖יִם וְא֥וֹר נֵֽר׃

BCC ¹¹ Tout ce pays sera une solitude, un désert, et ces nations seront asservies au roi de Babylone pendant soixante-dix ans.

KJV ¹¹ And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

WLC ¹¹ וְהָֽיְתָה֙ כָּל־ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את לְחָרְבָּ֖ה לְשַׁמָּ֑ה וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֛לֶּה אֶת־ מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃

BCC ¹² Lorsque ces soixante-dix ans seront accomplis, je ferai rendre compte de leur péché au roi de Babylone et à cette nation, dit Jéhovah, et au pays des Chaldéens, et j'en ferai des solitudes éternelles.

KJV ¹² And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

WLC ¹² וְהָיָ֣ה כִמְלֹ֣אות שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֡ה אֶפְקֹ֣ד עַל־ מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶל֩ וְעַל־ הַגּ֨וֹי הַה֧וּא נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ עֲוֺנָ֖ם וְעַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י אֹת֖וֹ לְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

BCC ¹³ Je ferai venir sur ce pays toutes les paroles que j'ai prononcées contre lui, tout ce qui est écrit dans ce livre, ce que Jérémie a prophétisé sur toutes les nations.

KJV ¹³ And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.

WLC ¹³ עַל־ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֔יא אֶת־ כָּל־ דְּבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי עָלֶ֑יהָ אֵ֤ת כָּל־ הַכָּתוּב֙ בַּסֵּ֣פֶר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ נִבָּ֥א יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ עַל־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִֽם׃

BCC ¹⁴ Car des nations nombreuses et de grands rois les asserviront, eux aussi, et je leur rendrai selon leurs actions et selon l'oeuvre de leurs mains."

KJV ¹⁴ For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֣י עָֽבְדוּ־ בָ֤ם גַּם־ הֵ֙מָּה֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדוֹלִ֑ים וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥י לָהֶ֛ם כְּפָעֳלָ֖ם וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁵ Car ainsi m'a parlé Jéhovah, Dieu d'Israël : prend de ma main cette coupe du vin de ma colère et fais-la boire à toutes les nations vers lesquelles je t'en verrai.

KJV ¹⁵ For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּ֣י כֹה֩ אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֵלַ֔י קַ֠ח אֶת־ כּ֨וֹס הַיַּ֧יִן הַחֵמָ֛ה הַזֹּ֖את מִיָּדִ֑י וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֤ה אֹתוֹ֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י שֹׁלֵ֥חַ אוֹתְךָ֖ אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁶ Elles en boiront, elles chancelleront, elles seront prises de folie devant l'épée que j'enverrai au milieu d'elles.

KJV ¹⁶ And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

WLC ¹⁶ וְשָׁת֕וּ וְהִֽתְגֹּֽעֲשׁ֖וּ וְהִתְהֹלָ֑לוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֹתָֽם׃

BCC ¹⁷ Je pris la coupe des mains de Jéhovah et je la fis boire à toutes les nations vers lesquelles Jéhovah m'envoyait :

KJV ¹⁷ Then took I the cup at the LORD's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:

WLC ¹⁷ וָאֶקַּ֥ח אֶת־ הַכּ֖וֹס מִיַּ֣ד יְהוָ֑ה וָֽאַשְׁקֶה֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־ שְׁלָחַ֥נִי יְהוָ֖ה אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁸ à Jérusalem et aux villes de Juda, à ses rois, à ses princes, pour en faire une solitude, une désolation, un objet de moquerie et de malédiction, comme cela se voit aujourd'hui ;

KJV ¹⁸ To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

KJV ¹⁹ Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

WLC ¹⁹ אֶת־ פַּרְעֹ֧ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ מִצְרַ֛יִם וְאֶת־ עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־ שָׂרָ֖יו וְאֶת־ כָּל־ עַמּֽוֹ׃

BCC ²⁰ et à tout le mélange de peuples ; à tous les rois du pays de Uts ; à tous les rois du pays des Philistins, à Ascalon, Gaza, Accaron et aux restes d'Azoth ;

KJV ²⁰ And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,

WLC ²⁰ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ הָעֶ֔רֶב וְאֵ֕ת כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֖י אֶ֣רֶץ הָע֑וּץ וְאֵ֗ת כָּל־ מַלְכֵי֙ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְאֶת־ אַשְׁקְל֤וֹן וְאֶת־ עַזָּה֙ וְאֶת־ עֶקְר֔וֹן וְאֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית אַשְׁדּֽוֹד׃

BCC ²¹ à Édom, â Moab et aux fils d'Ammon ;

BCC ²² à tous les rois de Tyr, à tous les rois de Sidon, et aux rois des îles qui sont par delà la mer ;

KJV ²² And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,

WLC ²² וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ מַלְכֵי־ צֹ֔ר וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י צִיד֑וֹן וְאֵת֙ מַלְכֵ֣י הָאִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּעֵ֥בֶר הַיָּֽם׃

BCC ²³ à Dédan, à Thérria, à Buz et â tous ceux qui se rasent les tempes ;

KJV ²³ Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,

WLC ²³ וְאֶת־ דְּדָ֤ן וְאֶת־ תֵּימָא֙ וְאֶת־ בּ֔וּז וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־ קְצוּצֵ֥י פֵאָֽה׃

BCC ²⁴ à tous les rois d'Arabie, à tous les rois des peuples mélangés qui habitent le désert ;

KJV ²⁴ And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,

WLC ²⁴ וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י עֲרָ֑ב וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י הָעֶ֔רֶב הַשֹּׁכְנִ֖ים בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃

BCC ²⁵ à tous les rois de Zambri, à tous les rois d'Élam, et à tous les rois de Médie ;

KJV ²⁵ And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

WLC ²⁵ וְאֵ֣ת ׀ כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י זִמְרִ֗י וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י עֵילָ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֥י מָדָֽי׃

BCC ²⁶ à tous les rois du septentrion, proches ou éloignés, à l'un comme à l'autre, et à tous les royaumes du monde qui sont sur la face de la terre ; et le roi de Sésac boira après eux.

KJV ²⁶ And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

WLC ²⁶ וְאֵ֣ת ׀ כָּל־ מַלְכֵ֣י הַצָּפ֗וֹן הַקְּרֹבִ֤ים וְהָֽרְחֹקִים֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־ אָחִ֔יו וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ הַמַּמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וּמֶ֥לֶךְ שֵׁשַׁ֖ךְ יִשְׁתֶּ֥ה אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ²⁷ Tu leur diras : ainsi parle Jéhovah des années, Dieu d'Israël : Buvez, enivrez-vous, vomissez et tombez pour ne plus vous relever, devant l'épée que j'envoie au milieu de vous.

KJV ²⁷ Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

WLC ²⁷ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֡ם כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל שְׁת֤וּ וְשִׁכְרוּ֙ וּקְי֔וּ וְנִפְל֖וּ וְלֹ֣א תָק֑וּמוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֵיכֶֽם׃

BCC ²⁸ Et s'ils refusent de prendre de ta main la coupe pour boire, tu leur diras : ainsi parle Jéhovah : vous boirez !

KJV ²⁸ And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

WLC ²⁸ וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֧י יְמָאֲנ֛וּ לָקַֽחַת־ הַכּ֥וֹס מִיָּדְךָ֖ לִשְׁתּ֑וֹת וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שָׁת֥וֹ תִשְׁתּֽוּ׃

BCC ²⁹ Car c'est dans la ville sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué que je commence à sévir, et vous seriez impunis ? Vous ne serez pas impunis, car j'appelle l'épée sur tous les habitants de la terre, dit Jéhovah.

KJV ²⁹ For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.

WLC ²⁹ כִּי֩ הִנֵּ֨ה בָעִ֜יר אֲשֶׁ֧ר נִֽקְרָא־ שְׁמִ֣י עָלֶ֗יהָ אָֽנֹכִי֙ מֵחֵ֣ל לְהָרַ֔ע וְאַתֶּ֖ם הִנָּקֵ֣ה תִנָּק֑וּ לֹ֣א תִנָּק֔וּ כִּ֣י חֶ֗רֶב אֲנִ֤י קֹרֵא֙ עַל־ כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

BCC ³⁰ Et toi, tu leur prophétiseras toutes ces choses, et tu leur diras : Jéhovah rugit du haut du ciel ; de sa demeure sainte il fait retentir sa voix ; Il rugit contre son domaine ; Il répète à tous les habitants de la terre le cri des vendangeurs qui foulent le raisin.

KJV ³⁰ Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

WLC ³⁰ וְאַתָּה֙ תִּנָּבֵ֣א אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם יְהוָ֞ה מִמָּר֤וֹם יִשְׁאָג֙ וּמִמְּע֤וֹן קָדְשׁוֹ֙ יִתֵּ֣ן קוֹל֔וֹ שָׁאֹ֤ג יִשְׁאַג֙ עַל־ נָוֵ֔הוּ הֵידָד֙ כְּדֹרְכִ֣ים יַֽעֲנֶ֔ה אֶ֥ל כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָֽרֶץ׃

BCC ³¹ Le bruit en est arrivé jusqu'au bout de la terre ; car Jéhovah fait le procès à toutes les nations, Il entre en jugement avec toute chair ; Il livre les méchants au glaive, dit Jéhovah.

KJV ³¹ A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.

WLC ³¹ בָּ֤א שָׁאוֹן֙ עַד־ קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֣י רִ֤יב לַֽיהוָה֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם נִשְׁפָּ֥ט ה֖וּא לְכָל־ בָּשָׂ֑ר הָרְשָׁעִ֛ים נְתָנָ֥ם לַחֶ֖רֶב נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ³² Ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées : voici que le malheur va passer de nation à nation, une grande tempête s'élève des extrémités de la terre ;

KJV ³² Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

WLC ³² כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנֵּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה יֹצֵ֖את מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־ גּ֑וֹי וְסַ֣עַר גָּד֔וֹל יֵע֖וֹר מִיַּרְכְּתֵי־ אָֽרֶץ׃

BCC ³³ Et il y aura dés tués de Jéhovah en ce jour-là d'un bout à l'autre de la terre ; ils ne seront ni pleurés, ni ramassés, ni enterrés ; ils seront du fumier sur le sol.

KJV ³³ And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

WLC ³³ וְהָי֞וּ חַֽלְלֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא מִקְצֵ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ וְעַד־ קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹ֣א יִסָּפְד֗וּ וְלֹ֤א יֵאָֽסְפוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֔רוּ לְדֹ֛מֶן עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה יִֽהְיֽוּ׃

BCC ³⁴ Hurlez, pasteurs, et criez ; roulez-vous dans la poussière ; chefs du troupeau, car le temps est venu pour vous d'être égorgés ; Je vous disperserai et vous tomberez comme des vases de prix.

KJV ³⁴ Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.

WLC ³⁴ הֵילִ֨ילוּ הָרֹעִ֜ים וְזַעֲק֗וּ וְהִֽתְפַּלְּשׁוּ֙ אַדִּירֵ֣י הַצֹּ֔אן כִּֽי־ מָלְא֥וּ יְמֵיכֶ֖ם לִטְב֑וֹחַ וּתְפוֹצ֣וֹתִיכֶ֔ם וּנְפַלְתֶּ֖ם כִּכְלִ֥י חֶמְדָּֽה׃

BCC ³⁵ Plus de retraite pour les pasteurs, plus de refuge pour les chefs du troupeau.

KJV ³⁵ And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

WLC ³⁵ וְאָבַ֥ד מָנ֖וֹס מִן־ הָֽרֹעִ֑ים וּפְלֵיטָ֖ה מֵאַדִּירֵ֥י הַצֹּֽאן׃

BCC ³⁶ On entend les cris des pasteurs et les hurlements des chefs du troupeau, car Jéhovah ravage leur pâturage.

KJV ³⁶ A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture.

WLC ³⁶ ק֚וֹל צַעֲקַ֣ת הָֽרֹעִ֔ים וִֽילְלַ֖ת אַדִּירֵ֣י הַצֹּ֑אן כִּֽי־ שֹׁדֵ֥ד יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־ מַרְעִיתָֽם׃

BCC ³⁷ Les campagnes paisibles sont dévastées par le feu de la colère de Jéhovah ;

KJV ³⁷ And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

WLC ³⁷ וְנָדַ֖מּוּ נְא֣וֹת הַשָּׁל֑וֹם מִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַף־ יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ³⁸ Il quitte sa retraite, comme un lion son fourré ; leur pays va être désolé par le glaive destructeur, par le feu de la colère de Jéhovah.

KJV ³⁸ He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.

WLC ³⁸ עָזַ֥ב כַּכְּפִ֖יר סֻכּ֑וֹ כִּֽי־ הָיְתָ֤ה אַרְצָם֙ לְשַׁמָּ֔ה מִפְּנֵי֙ חֲר֣וֹן הַיּוֹנָ֔ה וּמִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃
