BAN ¹ Au commencement du règne de Jéhojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole-ci fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel.

KJV ¹ In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

WLC ¹ בְּרֵאשִׁ֗ית מַמְלֶ֛כֶת יְהוֹיָקִ֥ם בֶּן־ יֹאושִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָ֞ה הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֔ה מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

BAN ² Ainsi m'a dit l'Eternel : Fais-toi des liens et des jougs, et mets-les sur ton cou.

KJV ² Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,

WLC ² כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י עֲשֵׂ֣ה לְךָ֔ מוֹסֵר֖וֹת וּמֹט֑וֹת וּנְתַתָּ֖ם עַל־ צַוָּארֶֽךָ׃

BAN ³ Puis envoie-les au roi d'Edom, au roi de Moab, au roi des fils d'Ammon, au roi de Tyr et au roi de Sidon, par les ambassadeurs venus à Jérusalem vers Sédécias, roi de Juda ;

KJV ³ And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

WLC ³ וְשִׁלַּחְתָּם֩ אֶל־ מֶ֨לֶךְ אֱד֜וֹם וְאֶל־ מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֗ב וְאֶל־ מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וְאֶל־ מֶ֥לֶךְ צֹ֖ר וְאֶל־ מֶ֣לֶךְ צִיד֑וֹן בְּיַ֤ד מַלְאָכִים֙ הַבָּאִ֣ים יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם אֶל־ צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃

BAN ⁴ et commande-leur de dire à leurs maîtres : Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël : Voici comment vous parlerez à vos maîtres :

KJV ⁴ And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

WLC ⁴ וְצִוִּיתָ֣ אֹתָ֔ם אֶל־ אֲדֹֽנֵיהֶ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֹּ֥ה תֹֽאמְר֖וּ אֶל־ אֲדֹֽנֵיכֶֽם׃

BAN ⁵ C'est moi qui par ma grande puissance et par mon bras étendu ai fait la terre, l'homme et les bêtes qui sont sur la face de la terre, et je la donne à qui il me plaît.

KJV ⁵ I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

WLC ⁵ אָנֹכִ֞י עָשִׂ֣יתִי אֶת־ הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־ הָאָדָ֤ם וְאֶת־ הַבְּהֵמָה֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ בְּכֹחִי֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל וּבִזְרוֹעִ֖י הַנְּטוּיָ֑ה וּנְתַתִּ֕יהָ לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר יָשַׁ֥ר בְּעֵינָֽי׃

BAN ⁶ Maintenant, c'est moi qui ai donné toutes ces contrées aux mains de Nébucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur ; je lui ai donné même les animaux des champs pour le servir.

KJV ⁶ And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

WLC ⁶ וְעַתָּ֗ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ נָתַ֙תִּי֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הָאֲרָצ֣וֹת הָאֵ֔לֶּה בְּיַ֛ד נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֖ל עַבְדִּ֑י וְגַם֙ אֶת־ חַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה נָתַ֥תִּי ל֖וֹ לְעָבְדֽוֹ׃

BAN ⁷ Et toutes les nations lui seront assujetties, à lui, à son fils et au fils de son fils, jusqu'à ce que vienne le temps de son pays, à lui aussi, et que de nombreuses nations et de grands rois l'assujettissent.

KJV ⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

WLC ⁷ וְעָבְד֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְאֶת־ בְּנ֖וֹ וְאֶֽת־ בֶּן־ בְּנ֑וֹ עַ֣ד בֹּא־ עֵ֤ת אַרְצוֹ֙ גַּם־ ה֔וּא וְעָ֤בְדוּ בוֹ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדֹלִֽים׃

BAN ⁸ Et le peuple et le royaume qui ne se soumettront pas à lui, Nébucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, et celui qui ne mettra pas son cou sous le joug du roi de Babylone, ce peuple-là, je le visiterai par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, dit l'Eternel, jusqu'à ce que je l'achève par sa main.

KJV ⁸ And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

WLC ⁸ וְהָיָ֨ה הַגּ֜וֹי וְהַמַּמְלָכָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־ יַעַבְד֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ אֶת־ נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֵ֨ת אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ יִתֵּן֙ אֶת־ צַוָּאר֔וֹ בְּעֹ֖ל מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל בַּחֶרֶב֩ וּבָרָעָ֨ב וּבַדֶּ֜בֶר אֶפְקֹ֨ד עַל־ הַגּ֤וֹי הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה עַד־ תֻּמִּ֥י אֹתָ֖ם בְּיָדֽוֹ׃

BAN ⁹ Et vous, n'écoutez pas vos prophètes, ni vos devins, ni vos songes, ni vos augures, ni vos magiciens, qui vous disent : Vous ne serez point assujettis au roi de Babylone,

KJV ⁹ Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

WLC ⁹ וְ֠אַתֶּם אַל־ תִּשְׁמְע֨וּ אֶל־ נְבִיאֵיכֶ֜ם וְאֶל־ קֹֽסְמֵיכֶ֗ם וְאֶל֙ חֲלֹמֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֶל־ עֹֽנְנֵיכֶ֖ם וְאֶל־ כַּשָּׁפֵיכֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁר־ הֵ֞ם אֹמְרִ֤ים אֲלֵיכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תַעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־ מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃

BAN ¹⁰ C'est un mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent pour vous é1oigner de votre pays, pour que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez.

KJV ¹⁰ For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖ם נִבְּאִ֣ים לָכֶ֑ם לְמַ֨עַן הַרְחִ֤יק אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵעַ֣ל אַדְמַתְכֶ֔ם וְהִדַּחְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם וַאֲבַדְתֶּֽם׃

BAN ¹¹ Et la nation qui mettra son cou sous le joug du roi de Babylone pour le servir, je la laisserai en repos dans son pays, dit l'Eternel ; elle le cultivera et y demeurera.

KJV ¹¹ But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

WLC ¹¹ וְהַגּ֗וֹי אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָבִ֧יא אֶת־ צַוָּאר֛וֹ בְּעֹ֥ל מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֖ל וַֽעֲבָד֑וֹ וְהִנַּחְתִּ֤יו עַל־ אַדְמָתוֹ֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וַֽעֲבָדָ֖הּ וְיָ֥שַׁב בָּֽהּ׃

BAN ¹² Puis je tins le même langage à Sédécias, roi de Juda, lui disant. Mettez vos cous sous le joug du roi de Babylone et servez-le, lui et son peuple, et vivez !

KJV ¹² I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

WLC ¹² וְאֶל־ צִדְקִיָּ֤ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָה֙ דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי כְּכָל־ הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לֵאמֹ֑ר הָבִ֨יאוּ אֶת־ צַוְּארֵיכֶ֜ם בְּעֹ֣ל מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֗ל וְעִבְד֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ וְעַמּ֖וֹ וִֽחְיֽוּ׃

BAN ¹³ Pourquoi mourriez-vous, toi et ton peuple, par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, comme l'Eternel l'a dit au peuple qui ne voudra pas servir le roi de Babylone ?

KJV ¹³ Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

WLC ¹³ לָ֤מָּה תָמ֙וּתוּ֙ אַתָּ֣ה וְעַמֶּ֔ךָ בַּחֶ֖רֶב בָּרָעָ֣ב וּבַדָּ֑בֶר֙ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־ הַגּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ יַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־ מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃

BAN ¹⁴ N'écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui vous disent : Vous ne serez point assujettis au roi de Babylone. Car c'est un mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent ;

KJV ¹⁴ Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

WLC ¹⁴ וְאַֽל־ תִּשְׁמְע֞וּ אֶל־ דִּבְרֵ֣י הַנְּבִאִ֗ים הָאֹמְרִ֤ים אֲלֵיכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תַעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־ מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖ם נִבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם׃

BAN ¹⁵ car je ne les ai point envoyés, dit l'Eternel, et ils prophétisent en mon nom faussement, afin que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez, vous et les prophètes qui vous prophétisent.

KJV ¹⁵ For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א שְׁלַחְתִּים֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וְהֵ֛ם נִבְּאִ֥ים בִּשְׁמִ֖י לַשָּׁ֑קֶר לְמַ֨עַן הַדִּיחִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ וַאֲבַדְתֶּ֔ם אַתֶּ֕ם וְהַנְּבִאִ֖ים הַֽנִּבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם׃

BAN ¹⁶ Je parlai aussi aux sacrificateurs et à tout ce peuple, et je leur dis : Ainsi parle l'Eternel : N'écoutez point les paroles de vos prophètes, qui vous prophétisent en disant : Voici, les meubles de la maison de l'Eternel vont être ramenés bientôt de Babylone. C'est un mensonge qu'il vous prophétisent.

KJV ¹⁶ Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

WLC ¹⁶ וְאֶל־ הַכֹּהֲנִים֩ וְאֶל־ כָּל־ הָעָ֨ם הַזֶּ֜ה דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּה֮ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָה֒ אַֽל־ תִּשְׁמְע֞וּ אֶל־ דִּבְרֵ֣י נְבִֽיאֵיכֶ֗ם הַֽנִּבְּאִ֤ים לָכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הִנֵּ֨ה כְלֵ֧י בֵית־ יְהוָ֛ה מוּשָׁבִ֥ים מִבָּבֶ֖לָה עַתָּ֣ה מְהֵרָ֑ה כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖מָּה נִבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם׃

BAN ¹⁷ Ne les écoutez point ; soumettez-vous au roi de Babylone, et vivez : pourquoi cette ville serait-elle réduite en dévastation ?

KJV ¹⁷ Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

WLC ¹⁷ אַל־ תִּשְׁמְע֣וּ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם עִבְד֥וּ אֶת־ מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֖ל וִֽחְי֑וּ לָ֧מָּה תִֽהְיֶ֛ה הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֖את חָרְבָּֽה׃

BAN ¹⁸ S'ils sont prophètes, si la parole de l'Eternel est avec eux, eh bien ! qu'ils intercèdent auprès de l'Eternel des armées pour que les meubles qui sont restés dans la maison de l'Eternel, dans celle du roi de Juda et à Jérusalem, ne s'en aillent pas à Babylone !

KJV ¹⁸ But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

WLC ¹⁸ וְאִם־ נְבִאִ֣ים הֵ֔ם וְאִם־ יֵ֥שׁ דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אִתָּ֑ם יִפְגְּעוּ־ נָא֙ בַּֽיהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת לְבִלְתִּי־ בֹ֜אוּ הַכֵּלִ֣ים ׀ הַנּוֹתָרִ֣ים בְּבֵית־ יְהוָ֗ה וּבֵ֨ית מֶ֧לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֛ה וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בָּבֶֽלָה׃

BAN ¹⁹ Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées au sujet des colonnes et de la mer et des porte-bassins et du reste des meubles laissés dans cette ville,

KJV ¹⁹ For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city.

WLC ¹⁹ כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֶל־ הָֽעַמֻּדִ֔ים וְעַל־ הַיָּ֖ם וְעַל־ הַמְּכֹנ֑וֹת וְעַל֙ יֶ֣תֶר הַכֵּלִ֔ים הַנּוֹתָרִ֖ים בָּעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃

BAN ²⁰ que Nébucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, n'a point pris, quand il emmena de Jérusalem à Babylone Jéchonias, fils de Jéhojakim, roi de Juda, et tous les notables de Juda et de Jérusalem ;

KJV ²⁰ Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

WLC ²⁰ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־ לְקָחָ֗ם נְבֽוּכַדְנֶאצַּר֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל בַּ֠גְלוֹתוֹ אֶת־ יְכָונְיָ֨ה בֶן־ יְהוֹיָקִ֧ים מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֛ה מִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בָּבֶ֑לָה וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־ חֹרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

BAN ²¹ ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël, au sujet des meubles restés dans la maison de l'Eternel et dans celle du roi de Juda et à Jérusalem :

KJV ²¹ Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

WLC ²¹ כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עַל־ הַכֵּלִ֗ים הַנּֽוֹתָרִים֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה וּבֵ֥ית מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

BAN ²² Ils seront emmenés à Babylone et ils y resteront jusqu'au jour où je les visiterai, dit l'Eternel, et où je les ferai remonter et revenir dans ce lieu-ci.

KJV ²² They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

WLC ²² בָּבֶ֥לָה יוּבָ֖אוּ וְשָׁ֣מָּה יִֽהְי֑וּ עַ֠ד י֣וֹם פָּקְדִ֤י אֹתָם֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וְהַֽעֲלִיתִים֙ וַהֲשִׁ֣יבֹתִ֔ים אֶל־ הַמָּק֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
