BCC ¹ La quatrième année de Joakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, la parole de Jéhovah fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de Jéhovah, en ces termes :

WLC ¹ וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הָרְבִיעִ֔ת לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־ יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָ֞ה הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ² "Prends un volume, et tu y écriras toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites contre Israël, contre Juda et contre toutes les nations depuis que je t'ai parlé, depuis les jours de Josias jusqu'aujourd'hui.

KJV ² Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

WLC ² קַח־ לְךָ֮ מְגִלַּת־ סֵפֶר֒ וְכָתַבְתָּ֣ אֵלֶ֗יהָ אֵ֣ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֞ים אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֧רְתִּי אֵלֶ֛יךָ עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל וְעַל־ יְהוּדָ֖ה וְעַל־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם מִיּ֞וֹם דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ מִימֵ֣י יֹאשִׁיָּ֔הוּ וְעַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

BCC ³ Peut-être que, quand la maison de Juda entendra tout le mal que j'ai à dessein de leur faire, ils se détourneront chacun de sa mauvaise voie, et je pardonnerai leur iniquité et leur péché."

KJV ³ It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

VULC ³ si forte, audiente domo Juda universa mala quæ ego cogito facere eis, revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima, et propitius ero iniquitati et peccato eorum.

BCC ⁴ Jérémie appela donc Baruch, fils de Néria, et Baruch écrivit sous la dictée de Jérémie ; dans le volume, toutes les paroles que Jéhovah lui avait dites.

KJV ⁴ Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

BCC ⁵ Puis Jérémie donna cet ordre à Baruch : je suis empêché, et ne puis entrer dans la maison de Jéhovah.

KJV ⁵ And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:

VULC ⁵ et præcepit Jeremias Baruch, dicens : Ego clausus sum, nec valeo ingredi domum Domini.

WLC ⁵ וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֶת־ בָּר֖וּךְ לֵאמֹ֑ר אֲנִ֣י עָצ֔וּר לֹ֣א אוּכַ֔ל לָב֖וֹא בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ⁶ Tu iras donc, toi, et tu liras, dans le volume que tu as écrit sous ma dictée, les paroles de Jéhovah aux oreilles du peuple rassemblé dans la maison de Jéhovah le jour du jeûne, ainsi que de tous ceux de Juda qui seront venus de leurs villes.

KJV ⁶ Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

BCC ⁷ Peut-être que leur supplication arrivera devant Jéhovah et qu'ils se détourneront chacun de sa mauvaise voie ; car grande est la colère et l'indignation que Jéhovah a exprimées contre ce peuple." ‒

KJV ⁷ It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

VULC ⁷ si forte cadat oratio eorum in conspectu Domini, et revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima : quoniam magnus furor et indignatio est quam locutus est Dominus adversus populum hunc.

WLC ⁷ אוּלַ֞י תִּפֹּ֤ל תְּחִנָּתָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְיָשֻׁ֕בוּ אִ֖ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֑ה כִּֽי־ גָד֤וֹל הָאַף֙ וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה׃

BCC ⁸ Et Baruch, fils de Néria, fit tout ce que Jérémie le prophète lui avait commandé, lisant dans le livre les paroles de Jéhovah dans la maison de Jéhovah.

KJV ⁸ And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.

VULC ⁸ Et fecit Baruch filius Neriæ juxta omnia quæ præceperat ei Jeremias propheta, legens ex volumine sermones Domini in domo Domini.

BCC ⁹ En la cinquième année de Joakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, le neuvième mois, on publia un jeûne devant Jéhovah pour tout le peuple de Jérusalem et pour tout le peuple qui vint des villes de Juda à Jérusalem.

KJV ⁹ And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

BCC ¹⁰ Baruch lut dans le livre les paroles de Jéhovah aux oreilles de tout le peuple dans la maison de Jéhovah, dans la chambre de Gamarias, fils de Saphan, secrétaire dans le parvis supérieur, à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de Jéhovah,

KJV ¹⁰ Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.

VULC ¹⁰ Legitque Baruch ex volumine sermones Jeremiæ in domo Domini, in gazophylacio Gamariæ filii Saphan scribæ, in vestibulo superiori, in introitu portæ novæ domus Domini, audiente omni populo.

BCC ¹¹ Michée, fils de Gamarias, fils de Saphan, entendit toutes les paroles de Jéhovah contenues dans le livre ;

KJV ¹¹ When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,

VULC ¹¹ Cumque audisset Michæas filius Gamariæ filii Saphan omnes sermones Domini ex libro,

WLC ¹¹ וַ֠יִּשְׁמַ֗ע מִכָ֨יְהוּ בֶן־ גְּמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן־ שָׁפָ֛ן אֶת־ כָּל־ דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל הַסֵּֽפֶר׃

BCC ¹² et il descendit à la maison du roi, dans la chambre du secrétaire, où étaient assis tous les chefs, Élisama, le secrétaire, Dalaïas, fils de Séméïas, Elnathan, fils d'Achobor, Gamarias, fils de Saphan, Sédécias, fils de Hananias, et tous ; les autres.

KJV ¹² Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

WLC ¹² וַיֵּ֤רֶד בֵּית־ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל־ לִשְׁכַּ֣ת הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהִ֨נֵּה־ שָׁ֔ם כָּל־ הַשָּׂרִ֖ים יֽוֹשְׁבִ֑ים אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֡ר וּדְלָיָ֣הוּ בֶן־ שְׁ֠מַעְיָהוּ וְאֶלְנָתָ֨ן בֶּן־ עַכְבּ֜וֹר וּגְמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן־ שָׁפָ֛ן וְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ בֶן־ חֲנַנְיָ֖הוּ וְכָל־ הַשָּׂרִֽים׃

BCC ¹³ Et Michée leur rapporta toutes les paroles qu'il avait entendues lorsque Baruch lisait dans le livre aux oreilles du peuple.

KJV ¹³ Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

VULC ¹³ et nuntiavit eis Michæas omnia verba quæ audivit, legente Baruch ex volumine in auribus populi.

WLC ¹³ וַיַּגֵּ֤ד לָהֶם֙ מִכָ֔יְהוּ אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמֵ֑עַ בִּקְרֹ֥א בָר֛וּךְ בַּסֵּ֖פֶר בְּאָזְנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃

BCC ¹⁴ Alors tous les chefs envoyèrent vers Baruch, fils de Nathanias, fils de Sélémias, fils de Chusi, pour lui dire : "prends le volume dans lequel tu as lu aux oreilles du peuple, et viens." Baruch, fils de Néria, prit le volume et se rendit auprès d'eux.

KJV ¹⁴ Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

VULC ¹⁴ Miserunt itaque omnes principes ad Baruch Judi filium Nathaniæ filii Selemiæ filii Chusi, dicentes : Volumen ex quo legisti, audiente populo, sume in manu tua, et veni. Tulit ergo Baruch filius Neriæ volumen in manu sua, et venit ad eos :

WLC ¹⁴ וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ כָל־ הַשָּׂרִ֜ים אֶל־ בָּר֗וּךְ אֶת־ יְהוּדִ֡י בֶּן־ נְ֠תַנְיָהוּ בֶּן־ שֶׁלֶמְיָ֣הוּ בֶן־ כּוּשִׁי֮ לֵאמֹר֒ הַמְּגִלָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר קָרָ֤אתָ בָּהּ֙ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם קָחֶ֥נָּה בְיָדְךָ֖ וָלֵ֑ךְ וַ֠יִּקַּח בָּר֨וּךְ בֶּן־ נֵרִיָּ֤הוּ אֶת־ הַמְּגִלָּה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֖א אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁵ Ils lui dirent : "assieds-toi, et lis ce livre à nos oreilles." et Baruch le leur lut.

KJV ¹⁵ And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

VULC ¹⁵ et dixerunt ad eum : Sede, et lege hæc in auribus nostris. Et legit Baruch in auribus eorum.

WLC ¹⁵ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו שֵׁ֣ב נָ֔א וּקְרָאֶ֖נָּה בְּאָזְנֵ֑ינוּ וַיִּקְרָ֥א בָר֖וּךְ בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁶ Lorsqu'ils eurent entendu toutes ces paroles, ils se regardèrent avec effroi les uns les autres, et dirent à Baruch : "il faut que nous rapportions au roi toutes ces paroles."

KJV ¹⁶ Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

VULC ¹⁶ Igitur cum audissent omnia verba, obstupuerunt unusquisque ad proximum suum, et dixerunt ad Baruch : Nuntiare debemus regi omnes sermones istos.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיְהִ֗י כְּשָׁמְעָם֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֔ים פָּחֲד֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־ רֵעֵ֑הוּ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־ בָּר֔וּךְ הַגֵּ֤יד נַגִּיד֙ לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

BCC ¹⁷ Puis ils adressèrent à Baruch cette question : "déclare-nous comment tu as écrit toutes ces paroles sorties de sa bouche."

KJV ¹⁷ And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

VULC ¹⁷ Et interrogaverunt eum, dicentes : Indica nobis quomodo scripsisti omnes sermones istos ex ore ejus.

WLC ¹⁷ וְאֶ֨ת־ בָּר֔וּךְ שָׁאֲל֖וּ לֵאמֹ֑ר הַגֶּד־ נָ֣א לָ֔נוּ אֵ֗יךְ כָּתַ֛בְתָּ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה מִפִּֽיו׃

BCC ¹⁸ Baruch leur répondit : "il m'a dicté de sa bouche toutes ces paroles, et je les ai écrites dans ce livre avec de l'encre."

KJV ¹⁸ Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

VULC ¹⁸ Dixit autem eis Baruch : Ex ore suo loquebatur quasi legens ad me omnes sermones istos, et ego scribebam in volumine atramento.

WLC ¹⁸ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהֶם֙ בָּר֔וּךְ מִפִּיו֙ יִקְרָ֣א אֵלַ֔י אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַאֲנִ֛י כֹּתֵ֥ב עַל־ הַסֵּ֖פֶר בַּדְּיֽוֹ׃

BCC ¹⁹ Alors les chefs dirent à Baruch : "Va, cache-toi, ainsi que Jérémie, et que personne ne sache où vous êtes."

KJV ¹⁹ Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

VULC ¹⁹ Et dixerunt principes ad Baruch : Vade, et abscondere, tu et Jeremias, et nemo sciat ubi sitis.

WLC ¹⁹ וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ הַשָּׂרִים֙ אֶל־ בָּר֔וּךְ לֵ֥ךְ הִסָּתֵ֖ר אַתָּ֣ה וְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּ וְאִ֥ישׁ אַל־ יֵדַ֖ע אֵיפֹ֥ה אַתֶּֽם׃

BCC ²⁰ Ils entrèrent ensuite chez le roi dans la cour, laissant le volume dans la chambre d'Élisama, le secrétaire, et ils rapportèrent au roi tout ce qui venait de se passer.

KJV ²⁰ And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

VULC ²⁰ Et ingressi sunt ad regem in atrium : porro volumen commendaverunt in gazophylacio Elisamæ scribæ, et nuntiaverunt, audiente rege, omnes sermones.

WLC ²⁰ וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ חָצֵ֔רָה וְאֶת־ הַמְּגִלָּ֣ה הִפְקִ֔דוּ בְּלִשְׁכַּ֖ת אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֑ר וַיַּגִּ֙ידוּ֙ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֖ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִֽים׃

BCC ²¹ Le roi envoya Judi pour prendre le volume, et quand Judi l'eut pris dans la chambre d'Élisama, le secrétaire, il le lut aux oreilles du roi et aux oreilles de tous les chefs qui se tenaient devant lui.

KJV ²¹ So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

VULC ²¹ Misitque rex Judi ut sumeret volumen : qui tollens illud de gazophylacio Elisamæ scribæ, legit, audiente rege et universis principibus qui stabant circa regem.

WLC ²¹ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶת־ יְהוּדִ֗י לָקַ֙חַת֙ אֶת־ הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ מִלִּשְׁכַּ֖ת אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֑ר וַיִּקְרָאֶ֤הָ יְהוּדִי֙ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וּבְאָזְנֵי֙ כָּל־ הַשָּׂרִ֔ים הָעֹמְדִ֖ים מֵעַ֥ל הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

BCC ²² Or le roi était assis dans l'appartement d'hiver, au neuvième mois, et le brasier était allumé devant lui.

KJV ²² Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

VULC ²² Rex autem sedebat in domo hiemali, in mense nono, et posita erat arula coram eo plena prunis.

WLC ²² וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ יוֹשֵׁב֙ בֵּ֣ית הַחֹ֔רֶף בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁיעִ֑י וְאֶת־ הָאָ֖ח לְפָנָ֥יו מְבֹעָֽרֶת׃

BCC ²³ Dès que Judi eut lu trois ou quatre colonnes, le roi coupa le livre avec le canif du secrétaire, et le jeta au feu dans le brasier, jusqu'à ce que tout le volume fût consumé par le feu du brasier.

KJV ²³ And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

VULC ²³ Cumque legisset Judi tres pagellas vel quatuor, scidit illud scalpello scribæ, et projecit in ignem qui erat super arulam, donec consumeretur omne volumen igni qui erat in arula.

WLC ²³ וַיְהִ֣י ׀ כִּקְר֣וֹא יְהוּדִ֗י שָׁלֹ֣שׁ דְּלָתוֹת֮ וְאַרְבָּעָה֒ יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙ בְּתַ֣עַר הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ אֶל־ הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶל־ הָאָ֑ח עַד־ תֹּם֙ כָּל־ הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה עַל־ הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־ הָאָֽח׃

BCC ²⁴ Le roi et tous ses serviteurs qui entendirent tontes ces paroles n'en furent point effrayés et ne déchirèrent point leurs vêtements.

KJV ²⁴ Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

VULC ²⁴ Et non timuerunt, neque sciderunt vestimenta sua, rex et omnes servi ejus qui audierunt universos sermones istos.

BCC ²⁵ Pourtant Elnathan, Dalaïas et Gamarias avaient fait des instances auprès du roi pour qu'il ne brûlât pas le volume ; mais il ne les avait pas écoutés.

KJV ²⁵ Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

VULC ²⁵ Verumtamen Elnathan, et Dalaias, et Gamarias, contradixerunt regi, ne combureret librum : et non audivit eos.

WLC ²⁵ וְגַם֩ אֶלְנָתָ֨ן וּדְלָיָ֤הוּ וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙ הִפְגִּ֣עוּ בַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְבִלְתִּ֥י שְׂרֹ֖ף אֶת־ הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ²⁶ Puis le roi ordonna à Jérémiel, fils du roi, et à Séraias, fils d'Ezriel, et à Sélémias, fils d'Abdéel, de saisir Baruch, le secrétaire, et Jérémie, le prophète ; mais Jéhovah les cacha.

KJV ²⁶ But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

BCC ²⁷ La parole de Jéhovah fut adressée à Jérémie, après que le roi eut brûlé le volume et les paroles que Baruch avait écrites sous la dictée de Jérémie, en ces termes :

KJV ²⁷ Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

WLC ²⁷ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ אַחֲרֵ֣י ׀ שְׂרֹ֣ף הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אֶת־ הַמְּגִלָּה֙ וְאֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּתַ֥ב בָּר֛וּךְ מִפִּ֥י יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ²⁸ Va prendre un autre volume, et tu y écriras toutes les premières paroles qui étaient dans le premier volume que Joakim, roi de Juda, a brûlé.

KJV ²⁸ Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

WLC ²⁸ שׁ֥וּב קַח־ לְךָ֖ מְגִלָּ֣ה אַחֶ֑רֶת וּכְתֹ֣ב עָלֶ֗יהָ אֵ֤ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִים֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָי֗וּ עַל־ הַמְּגִלָּה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂרַ֖ף יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָֽה׃

BCC ²⁹ Et tu diras à Joakim, roi de Juda : ainsi parle Jéhovah : toi, tu as brûlé ce volume, en disant : "pourquoi y as-tu écrit que le roi de Babylone viendra certainement, qu'il détruira ce pays et qu'il en fera disparaître hommes et bêtes ?"

KJV ²⁹ And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

VULC ²⁹ Et ad Joakim regem Juda dices : Hæc dicit Dominus : Tu combussisti volumen illud, dicens : Quare scripsisti in eo annuntians : Festinus veniet rex Babylonis, et vastabit terram hanc, et cessare faciet ex illa hominem et jumentum ?

BCC ³⁰ C'est pourquoi Jéhovah parle ainsi touchant Joakim, roi de Juda : il n'aura pas un des siens assis sur le trône de David ; et sera jeté dehors, à la chaleur pendant le jour, et au froid pendant la nuit.

KJV ³⁰ Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

BCC ³¹ Je punirai sur lui, sur sa race et sur tous ses serviteurs leur iniquité, et je ferai venir sur eux, sur les habitants de Jérusalem et sur les hommes de Juda, tous les malheurs que je leur ai annoncés sans qu'ils aient voulu m'écouter.

KJV ³¹ And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

BCC ³² Jérémie prit donc un autre volume et le donna à Baruch, fils de Nérias, son secrétaire ; et Baruch y écrivit, sous la dictée de Jérémie, toutes les paroles du livre que Joakim, roi de Juda, avait brûlé, et beaucoup d'autres paroles semblables y furent ajoutées.

KJV ³² Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

WLC ³² וְיִרְמְיָ֜הוּ לָקַ֣ח ׀ מְגִלָּ֣ה אַחֶ֗רֶת וַֽיִּתְּנָהּ֮ אֶל־ בָּר֣וּךְ בֶּן־ נֵרִיָּהוּ֮ הַסֹּפֵר֒ וַיִּכְתֹּ֤ב עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ מִפִּ֣י יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֵ֚ת כָּל־ דִּבְרֵ֣י הַסֵּ֔פֶר אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂרַ֛ף יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֖ה בָּאֵ֑שׁ וְע֨וֹד נוֹסַ֧ף עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם דְּבָרִ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים כָּהֵֽמָּה׃
