BAN ¹ Aux Ammonites. Ainsi parle l'Eternel : Israël n'a-t-il pas de fils ? N'a-t-il pas d'héritiers ? Pourquoi leur roi a-t-il hérité de Gad, et son peuple s'est-il installé dans ses villes ?

KJV ¹ Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?

WLC ¹ לִבְנֵ֣י עַמּ֗וֹן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הֲבָנִ֥ים אֵין֙ לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִם־ יוֹרֵ֖שׁ אֵ֣ין ל֑וֹ מַדּ֗וּעַ יָרַ֤שׁ מַלְכָּם֙ אֶת־ גָּ֔ד וְעַמּ֖וֹ בְּעָרָ֥יו יָשָֽׁב׃

BAN ² C'est pourquoi, voici, des jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, où je ferai retentir le cri de guerre contre Rabba des Ammonites ; elle deviendra un monceau de ruines, et ses bourgades seront livrées au feu, et Israël héritera de ceux qui ont hérité de lui, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ² Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.

WLC ² לָכֵ֡ן הִנֵּה֩ יָמִ֨ים בָּאִ֜ים נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֗ה וְ֠הִשְׁמַעְתִּי אֶל־ רַבַּ֨ת בְּנֵי־ עַמּ֜וֹן תְּרוּעַ֣ת מִלְחָמָ֗ה וְהָֽיְתָה֙ לְתֵ֣ל שְׁמָמָ֔ה וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ בָּאֵ֣שׁ תִּצַּ֑תְנָה וְיָרַ֧שׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶת־ יֹרְשָׁ֖יו אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ³ Lamente-toi, Hesbon ! car Aï a été saccagée ; criez, filles de Rabba, ceignez-vous de sacs ; frappez-vous la poitrine ; errez le long des haies ; car leur roi s'en va en exil, ses prêtres et ses princes avec lui.

KJV ³ Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.

WLC ³ הֵילִ֨ילִי חֶשְׁבּ֜וֹן כִּ֣י שֻׁדְּדָה־ עַ֗י צְעַקְנָה֮ בְּנ֣וֹת רַבָּה֒ חֲגֹ֣רְנָה שַׂקִּ֔ים סְפֹ֕דְנָה וְהִתְשׁוֹטַ֖טְנָה בַּגְּדֵר֑וֹת כִּ֤י מַלְכָּם֙ בַּגּוֹלָ֣ה יֵלֵ֔ךְ כֹּהֲנָ֥יו וְשָׂרָ֖יו יַחְדָּֽיו׃

BAN ⁴ Pourquoi te vanter des vallées ? Elle est riche, ta vallée ! fille rebelle, qui te fiais à tes trésors, disant : Qui oserait venir contre moi ?

KJV ⁴ Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?

WLC ⁴ מַה־ תִּתְהַֽלְלִי֙ בָּֽעֲמָקִ֔ים זָ֣ב עִמְקֵ֔ךְ הַבַּ֖ת הַשּֽׁוֹבֵבָ֑ה הַבֹּֽטְחָה֙ בְּאֹ֣צְרֹתֶ֔יהָ מִ֖י יָב֥וֹא אֵלָֽי׃

BAN ⁵ Me voici : je fais venir contre toi la terreur, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées, de tous tes alentours ; vous serez chassés, chacun droit devant soi, et personne ne ralliera les fuyards.

KJV ⁵ Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.

WLC ⁵ הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא עָלַ֜יִךְ פַּ֗חַד נְאֻם־ אֲדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה צְבָא֖וֹת מִכָּל־ סְבִיבָ֑יִךְ וְנִדַּחְתֶּם֙ אִ֣ישׁ לְפָנָ֔יו וְאֵ֥ין מְקַבֵּ֖ץ לַנֹּדֵֽד׃

BAN ⁶ Mais après cela, je ramènerai les captifs des Ammonites, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ⁶ And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.

WLC ⁶ וְאַחֲרֵי־ כֵ֗ן אָשִׁ֛יב אֶת־ שְׁב֥וּת בְּנֵֽי־ עַמּ֖וֹן נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ⁷ A Edom. Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées : N'y a-t-il plus de sagesse en Théman ? Les avisés sont-ils à bout de conseils ? Sont-ils vides de sagesse ?

KJV ⁷ Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?

WLC ⁷ לֶאֱד֗וֹם כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הַאֵ֥ין ע֛וֹד חָכְמָ֖ה בְּתֵימָ֑ן אָבְדָ֤ה עֵצָה֙ מִבָּנִ֔ים נִסְרְחָ֖ה חָכְמָתָֽם׃

BAN ⁸ Fuyez, détournez-vous, blottissez-vous quelque part, habitants de Dédan, car j'amène sur Esaü sa ruine, le temps où je le visite.

KJV ⁸ Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.

WLC ⁸ נֻ֤סוּ הָפְנוּ֙ הֶעְמִ֣יקוּ לָשֶׁ֔בֶת יֹשְׁבֵ֖י דְּדָ֑ן כִּ֣י אֵ֥יד עֵשָׂ֛ו הֵבֵ֥אתִי עָלָ֖יו עֵ֥ת פְּקַדְתִּֽיו׃

BAN ⁹ Si des vendangeurs sont entrés chez toi, ils n'ont pas laissé à grappiller ; si ce sont des voleurs de nuit, ils ont fait du dégât tout leur soûl.

KJV ⁹ If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.

WLC ⁹ אִם־ בֹּֽצְרִים֙ בָּ֣אוּ לָ֔ךְ לֹ֥א יַשְׁאִ֖רוּ עֽוֹלֵל֑וֹת אִם־ גַּנָּבִ֥ים בַּלַּ֖יְלָה הִשְׁחִ֥יתוּ דַיָּֽם׃

BAN ¹⁰ Car c'est moi qui ai fouillé Esaü, découvert ses lieux secrets, et il ne peut plus se cacher ; tout est détruit, sa race, ses frères, ses voisins il ne reste personne.

KJV ¹⁰ But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֞י חָשַׂ֣פְתִּי אֶת־ עֵשָׂ֗ו גִּלֵּ֙יתִי֙ אֶת־ מִסְתָּרָ֔יו וְנֶחְבָּ֖ה לֹ֣א יוּכָ֑ל שֻׁדַּ֥ד זַרְע֛וֹ וְאֶחָ֥יו וּשְׁכֵנָ֖יו וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃

BAN ¹¹ Abandonne-moi tes orphelins, c'est moi qui les ferai vivre ; et pour tes veuves, confiez-vous à moi.

KJV ¹¹ Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

WLC ¹¹ עָזְבָ֥ה יְתֹמֶ֖יךָ אֲנִ֣י אֲחַיֶּ֑ה וְאַלְמְנֹתֶ֖יךָ עָלַ֥י תִּבְטָֽחוּ׃

BAN ¹² Car ainsi parle l'Eternel : Voici, ceux qui n'étaient pas condamnés à boire cette coupe, devront la boire ; et toi, tu en serais quitte ? Non, tu n'en seras pas tenu quitte, mais il faudra que tu boives !

KJV ¹² For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.

WLC ¹² כִּי־ כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִ֠נֵּה אֲשֶׁר־ אֵ֨ין מִשְׁפָּטָ֜ם לִשְׁתּ֤וֹת הַכּוֹס֙ שָׁת֣וֹ יִשְׁתּ֔וּ וְאַתָּ֣ה ה֔וּא נָקֹ֖ה תִּנָּקֶ֑ה לֹ֣א תִנָּקֶ֔ה כִּ֥י שָׁתֹ֖ה תִּשְׁתֶּֽה׃

BAN ¹³ Car je l'ai juré par moi-même, dit l'Eternel : Botsra sera un objet d'étonnement, d'opprobre, un lieu dévasté et maudit, et toutes ses villes seront des ruines à jamais !

KJV ¹³ For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

WLC ¹³ כִּ֣י בִ֤י נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה כִּֽי־ לְשַׁמָּ֧ה לְחֶרְפָּ֛ה לְחֹ֥רֶב וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה בָצְרָ֑ה וְכָל־ עָרֶ֥יהָ תִהְיֶ֖ינָה לְחָרְב֥וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

BAN ¹⁴ J'ai reçu de l'Eternel un message, et un héraut a été envoyé parmi les nations : Rassemblez-vous et marchez contre lui ! Levez-vous pour le combat !

KJV ¹⁴ I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.

WLC ¹⁴ שְׁמוּעָ֤ה שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה וְצִ֖יר בַּגּוֹיִ֣ם שָׁל֑וּחַ הִֽתְקַבְּצוּ֙ וּבֹ֣אוּ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְק֖וּמוּ לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁵ Car voici, je l'ai rendu petit entre les peuples et méprisé parmi les hommes.

KJV ¹⁵ For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּֽי־ הִנֵּ֥ה קָטֹ֛ן נְתַתִּ֖יךָ בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם בָּז֖וּי בָּאָדָֽם׃

BAN ¹⁶ Malheur à toi ! La fierté de ton coeur t'a séduit, toi qui habites dans les gorges du rocher, toi qui occupes le sommet de la colline ; mais tu élèverais ton aire comme l'aigle, je t'en ferai descendre, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ¹⁶ Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.

WLC ¹⁶ תִּֽפְלַצְתְּךָ֞ הִשִּׁ֤יא אֹתָךְ֙ זְד֣וֹן לִבֶּ֔ךָ שֹֽׁכְנִי֙ בְּחַגְוֵ֣י הַסֶּ֔לַע תֹּפְשִׂ֖י מְר֣וֹם גִּבְעָ֑ה כִּֽי־ תַגְבִּ֤יהַ כַּנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ קִנֶּ֔ךָ מִשָּׁ֥ם אֽוֹרִידְךָ֖ נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁷ Et Edom sera désolé ; tout passant s'étonnera et sifflera à la vue de toutes ses plaies,

KJV ¹⁷ Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.

WLC ¹⁷ וְהָיְתָ֥ה אֱד֖וֹם לְשַׁמָּ֑ה כֹּ֚ל עֹבֵ֣ר עָלֶ֔יהָ יִשֹּׁ֥ם וְיִשְׁרֹ֖ק עַל־ כָּל־ מַכּוֹתֶֽהָ׃

BAN ¹⁸ Ce sera comme la catastrophe de Sodome, de Gomorrhe et des villes voisines, a dit l'Eternel : personne n'y habitera ; aucun fils d'homme n'y séjournera.

KJV ¹⁸ As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.

WLC ¹⁸ כְּֽמַהְפֵּכַ֞ת סְדֹ֧ם וַעֲמֹרָ֛ה וּשְׁכֵנֶ֖יהָ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה לֹֽא־ יֵשֵׁ֥ב שָׁם֙ אִ֔ישׁ וְלֹֽא־ יָג֥וּר בָּ֖הּ בֶּן־ אָדָֽם׃

BAN ¹⁹ Voici, comme un lion, des halliers du Jourdain il monte au pâturage toujours vert, et soudain je fais fuir Edom de sa terre ; et celui que j'ai choisi, je l'établirai sur elle. Car qui est comme moi ? Qui me défierait, et qui serait le berger qui me tiendrait tête ?

KJV ¹⁹ Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

WLC ¹⁹ הִ֠נֵּה כְּאַרְיֵ֞ה יַעֲלֶ֨ה מִגְּא֣וֹן הַיַּרְדֵּן֮ אֶל־ נְוֵ֣ה אֵיתָן֒ כִּֽי־ אַרְגִּ֤יעָה אֲרִיצֶ֨נּוּ מֵֽעָלֶ֔יהָ וּמִ֥י בָח֖וּר אֵלֶ֣יהָ אֶפְקֹ֑ד כִּ֣י מִ֤י כָמ֙וֹנִי֙ וּמִ֣י יֹעִידֶ֔נִּי וּמִי־ זֶ֣ה רֹעֶ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַעֲמֹ֖ד לְפָנָֽי׃

BAN ²⁰ Ecoutez donc la résolution que l'Eternel a prise contre Edom, et les desseins qu'il a médités contre les habitants de Théman. Oui certes, on les entraînera, faibles brebis ; oui certes, on dévastera après eux leur pâturage.

KJV ²⁰ Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.

WLC ²⁰ לָכֵ֞ן שִׁמְע֣וּ עֲצַת־ יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָעַץ֙ אֶל־ אֱד֔וֹם וּמַ֨חְשְׁבוֹתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָשַׁ֖ב אֶל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י תֵימָ֑ן אִם־ לֹ֤א יִסְחָבוּם֙ צְעִירֵ֣י הַצֹּ֔אן אִם־ לֹ֥א יַשִּׁ֛ים עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם נְוֵהֶֽם׃

BAN ²¹ Au bruit de leur chute, la terre tremble ; il s'élève un cri qui retentit jusqu'à la mer Rouge.

KJV ²¹ The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.

WLC ²¹ מִקּ֣וֹל נִפְלָ֔ם רָעֲשָׁ֖ה הָאָ֑רֶץ צְעָקָ֕ה בְּיַם־ ס֖וּף נִשְׁמַ֥ע קוֹלָֽהּ׃

BAN ²² Voici, comme l'aigle, il s'élève, il plane, il étend ses ailes sur Botsra, et le coeur des braves d'Edora devient en ce jour comme le coeur d'une femme en travail.

KJV ²² Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

WLC ²² הִנֵּ֤ה כַנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ יַעֲלֶ֣ה וְיִדְאֶ֔ה וְיִפְרֹ֥שׂ כְּנָפָ֖יו עַל־ בָּצְרָ֑ה וְֽ֠הָיָה לֵ֞ב גִּבּוֹרֵ֤י אֱדוֹם֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא כְּלֵ֖ב אִשָּׁ֥ה מְצֵרָֽה׃

BAN ²³ A Damas. Hamath et Arpad ont pâli, parce qu'on a reçu une mauvaise nouvelle ; on se fond de peur. C'est la mer en tourmente, qui ne peut s'apaiser.

KJV ²³ Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

WLC ²³ לְדַמֶּ֗שֶׂק בּ֤וֹשָֽׁה חֲמָת֙ וְאַרְפָּ֔ד כִּי־ שְׁמֻעָ֥ה רָעָ֛ה שָׁמְע֖וּ נָמֹ֑גוּ בַּיָּ֣ם דְּאָגָ֔ה הַשְׁקֵ֖ט לֹ֥א יוּכָֽל׃

BAN ²⁴ Damas est sans force ; elle se dispose à fuir, et l'effroi s'est emparé d'elle ; l'angoisse et les douleurs l'ont saisie comme une femme qui enfante.

KJV ²⁴ Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

WLC ²⁴ רָפְתָ֥ה דַמֶּ֛שֶׂק הִפְנְתָ֥ה לָנ֖וּס וְרֶ֣טֶט ׀ הֶחֱזִ֑יקָה צָרָ֧ה וַחֲבָלִ֛ים אֲחָזַ֖תָּה כַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃

BAN ²⁵ Comment se fait-il qu'on ne l'ait pas abandonnée, la ville glorieuse, la cité qui faisait ma joie ?

KJV ²⁵ How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

WLC ²⁵ אֵ֥יךְ לֹֽא־ עֻזְּבָ֖ה עִ֣יר קִרְיַ֖ת מְשׂוֹשִֽׂי׃

BAN ²⁶ Aussi ses jeunes gens tomberont sur ses places, et tous ses hommes de guerre périront en ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel des armées.

KJV ²⁶ Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.

WLC ²⁶ לָכֵ֛ן יִפְּל֥וּ בַחוּרֶ֖יהָ בִּרְחֹבֹתֶ֑יהָ וְכָל־ אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה יִדַּ֙מּוּ֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

BAN ²⁷ Et j'allumerai un feu dans les murs de Damas, qui dévorera les palais de Ben-Hadad.

KJV ²⁷ And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

WLC ²⁷ וְהִצַּ֥תִּי אֵ֖שׁ בְּחוֹמַ֣ת דַּמָּ֑שֶׂק וְאָכְלָ֖ה אַרְמְנ֥וֹת בֶּן־ הֲדָֽד׃

BAN ²⁸ A Kédar et aux royaumes de Hatsor, que frappa Nébucadretsar, roi de Babel. Ainsi parle l'Eternel : Debout ! Marchez contre Kédar ; exterminez les fils de l'Orient !

KJV ²⁸ Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.

WLC ²⁸ לְקֵדָ֣ר ׀ וּֽלְמַמְלְכ֣וֹת חָצ֗וֹר אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִכָּה֙ מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֔ל כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה ק֚וּמוּ עֲל֣וּ אֶל־ קֵדָ֔ר וְשָׁדְד֖וּ אֶת־ בְּנֵי־ קֶֽדֶם׃

BAN ²⁹ Qu'on prenne leurs tentes et leurs troupeaux ; qu'on leur enlève leurs tentures, tous leurs effets et leurs chameaux ; qu'on leur crie : Terreur de toutes parts !

KJV ²⁹ Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.

WLC ²⁹ אָהֳלֵיהֶ֤ם וְצֹאנָם֙ יִקָּ֔חוּ יְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶ֧ם וְכָל־ כְּלֵיהֶ֛ם וּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖ם יִשְׂא֣וּ לָהֶ֑ם וְקָרְא֧וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם מָג֖וֹר מִסָּבִֽיב׃

BAN ³⁰ Sauvez-vous, fuyez bien vite ; blottissez-vous quelque part, habitants de Hatsor, dit l'Eternel ; car Nébucadretsar, roi de Babel, a formé contre vous un dessein ; il a conçu un plan contre vous.

KJV ³⁰ Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.

WLC ³⁰ נֻסוּ֩ נֻּ֨דוּ מְאֹ֜ד הֶעְמִ֧יקוּ לָשֶׁ֛בֶת יֹשְׁבֵ֥י חָצ֖וֹר נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה כִּֽי־ יָעַ֨ץ עֲלֵיכֶ֜ם נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤ר מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶל֙ עֵצָ֔ה וְחָשַׁ֥ב מַחֲשָׁבָֽה׃

BAN ³¹ Debout ! Marchez contre un peuple sans crainte, qui habite en assurance, dit l'Eternel. Il n'a ni portes, ni barres ; il vit à l'écart.

KJV ³¹ Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.

WLC ³¹ ק֣וּמוּ עֲל֗וּ אֶל־ גּ֥וֹי שְׁלֵ֛יו יוֹשֵׁ֥ב לָבֶ֖טַח נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה לֹא־ דְלָתַ֧יִם וְלֹֽא־ בְרִ֛יחַ ל֖וֹ בָּדָ֥ד יִשְׁכֹּֽנוּ׃

BAN ³² Que leurs chameaux soient au pillage, et que la multitude de leurs troupeaux passe au butin ! Je les disperserai à tous les vents, ces hommes aux tempes rasées, et de tous côtés je ferai fondre sur eux le désastre, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ³² And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof, saith the LORD.

WLC ³² וְהָי֨וּ גְמַלֵּיהֶ֜ם לָבַ֗ז וַהֲמ֤וֹן מִקְנֵיהֶם֙ לְשָׁלָ֔ל וְזֵרִתִ֥ים לְכָל־ ר֖וּחַ קְצוּצֵ֣י פֵאָ֑ה וּמִכָּל־ עֲבָרָ֛יו אָבִ֥יא אֶת־ אֵידָ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ³³ Et Hatsor deviendra un repaire de chacals, une solitude à jamais ; personne n'y demeurera, aucun fils d'homme n'y séjournera.

KJV ³³ And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it.

WLC ³³ וְהָיְתָ֨ה חָצ֜וֹר לִמְע֥וֹן תַּנִּ֛ים שְׁמָמָ֖ה עַד־ עוֹלָ֑ם לֹֽא־ יֵשֵׁ֥ב שָׁם֙ אִ֔ישׁ וְלֹֽא־ יָג֥וּר בָּ֖הּ בֶּן־ אָדָֽם׃

BAN ³⁴ La parole de l'Eternel. qui fut adressée au prophète Jérémie pour Elam, au commencement du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda en ces termes.

KJV ³⁴ The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

WLC ³⁴ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הָיָ֧ה דְבַר־ יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־ יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ הַנָּבִ֖יא אֶל־ עֵילָ֑ם בְּרֵאשִׁ֗ית מַלְכ֛וּת צִדְקִיָּ֥ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

BAN ³⁵ Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées. Voici, je vais briser l'arc d'Elam, le principe de sa force.

KJV ³⁵ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

WLC ³⁵ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י שֹׁבֵ֖ר אֶת־ קֶ֣שֶׁת עֵילָ֑ם רֵאשִׁ֖ית גְּבוּרָתָֽם׃

BAN ³⁶ Je ferai venir sur les Elamites quatre vents, des quatre coins des cieux, et je les disperserai à tous ces vents, et il n'y aura pas une nation où n'arrivent les fuyards d'Elam.

KJV ³⁶ And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

WLC ³⁶ וְהֵבֵאתִ֨י אֶל־ עֵילָ֜ם אַרְבַּ֣ע רוּח֗וֹת מֵֽאַרְבַּע֙ קְצ֣וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְזֵ֣רִתִ֔ים לְכֹ֖ל הָרֻח֣וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְלֹֽא־ יִהְיֶ֣ה הַגּ֔וֹי אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־ יָב֥וֹא שָׁ֖ם נִדְּחֵ֥י

BAN ³⁷ Et je ferai trembler les Elamites devant leurs ennemis et devant ceux qui en veulent à leur vie, et j'amènerai sur eux du mal, le feu de ma colère, dit l'Eternel ; et je mettrai l'épée à leur poursuite jusqu'à ce que je les aie anéantis.

KJV ³⁷ For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

WLC ³⁷ וְהַחְתַּתִּ֣י אֶת־ עֵ֠ילָם לִפְנֵ֨י אֹיְבֵיהֶ֜ם וְלִפְנֵ֣י ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י נַפְשָׁ֗ם וְהֵבֵאתִ֨י עֲלֵיהֶ֧ם ׀ רָעָ֛ה אֶת־ חֲר֥וֹן אַפִּ֖י נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙ אֶת־ הַחֶ֔רֶב עַ֥ד כַּלּוֹתִ֖י אוֹתָֽם׃

BAN ³⁸ Et j'établirai mon trône en Elam, et j'exterminerai de chez lui roi et chefs, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ³⁸ And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.

WLC ³⁸ וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י כִסְאִ֖י בְּעֵילָ֑ם וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֥י מִשָּׁ֛ם מֶ֥לֶךְ וְשָׂרִ֖ים נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ³⁹ Mais dans la fin des jours, il arrivera que je ferai revenir les captifs d'Elam, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ³⁹ But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.

WLC ³⁹ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית הַיָּמִ֗ים אֶת־ עֵילָ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃
