KJV ¹ Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

VULC ¹ Respondens autem Baldad Suhites, dixit :

KJV ² Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

VULC ² [Potestas et terror apud eum est,
qui facit concordiam in sublimibus suis.

KJV ³ Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

VULC ³ Numquid est numerus militum ejus ?
et super quem non surget lumen illius ?

KJV ⁴ How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

VULC ⁴ Numquid justificari potest homo comparatus Deo ?
aut apparere mundus natus de muliere ?

KJV ⁵ Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

VULC ⁵ Ecce luna etiam non splendet,
et stellæ non sunt mundæ in conspectu ejus :

KJV ⁶ How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

VULC ⁶ quanto magis homo putredo,
et filius hominis vermis ?]
