BAN ³ La ruine n'est-elle pas pour le méchant,
Et le malheur pour ceux qui pratiquent l'iniquité ?

KJV ³ Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?

et alienatio operantibus injustitiam ?

BAN ⁴ Dieu ne voit-il pas ma conduite,

KJV ⁴ Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

BAN ⁶ Que Dieu me pèse dans une balance exacte,

Que d'autres abusent d'elle.

et super illam incurventur alii.

BAN ¹¹ Car c'est là un crime,
C'est une iniquité punie par les juges.

BAN ²² Que mon épaule se détache de mon dos,
Que mon bras soit brisé hors de sa jointure !

KJV ³⁵ Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.

Et si j'ai arraché l'âme à ses [anciens] propriétaires,

et animam agricolarum ejus afflixi :
