BAN ¹ Et toute l'assemblée des fils d'Israël se réunit à Silo ; ils y dressèrent le Tabernacle d'assignation, car le pays leur était soumis.

KJV ¹ And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.

BAN ² Et parmi les fils d'Israël il restait sept tribus qui n'avaient pas reçu leur portion.

KJV ² And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.

WLC ² וַיִּוָּֽתְרוּ֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ חָלְק֖וּ אֶת־ נַֽחֲלָתָ֑ם שִׁבְעָ֖ה שְׁבָטִֽים׃

BAN ³ Et Josué dit aux fils d'Israël : Jusques à quand tarderez-vous à venir prendre possession du pays que l'Eternel, le Dieu de vos pères, vous a donné ?

KJV ³ And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

WLC ³ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עַד־ אָ֙נָה֙ אַתֶּ֣ם מִתְרַפִּ֔ים לָבוֹא֙ לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אֶת־ הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֙ נָתַ֣ן לָכֶ֔ם יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

BAN ⁴ Choisissez-vous trois hommes par tribu afin que je les envoie ; et qu'ils se lèvent, et parcourent le pays, et qu'ils en dressent l'état en vue du partage à faire, et qu'ils reviennent vers moi.

KJV ⁴ Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.

WLC ⁴ הָב֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה אֲנָשִׁ֖ים לַשָּׁ֑בֶט וְאֶשְׁלָחֵ֗ם וְיָקֻ֜מוּ וְיִֽתְהַלְּכ֥וּ בָאָ֛רֶץ וְיִכְתְּב֥וּ אוֹתָ֛הּ לְפִ֥י נַֽחֲלָתָ֖ם וְיָבֹ֥אוּ אֵלָֽי׃

BAN ⁵ Et vous le partagerez en sept portions ; Juda restera dans son territoire au midi, et la maison de Joseph dans son territoire au nord.

KJV ⁵ And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.

WLC ⁵ וְהִֽתְחַלְּק֥וּ אֹתָ֖הּ לְשִׁבְעָ֣ה חֲלָקִ֑ים יְהוּדָ֞ה יַעֲמֹ֤ד עַל־ גְּבוּלוֹ֙ מִנֶּ֔גֶב וּבֵ֥ית יוֹסֵ֛ף יַעַמְד֥וּ עַל־ גְּבוּלָ֖ם מִצָּפֽוֹן׃

BAN ⁶ Et vous dresserez l'état du pays en le divisant en sept parts ; et vous me l'apporterez ici, et je jetterai le sort pour vous dans ce lieu en présence de l'Eternel notre Dieu.

KJV ⁶ Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.

WLC ⁶ וְאַתֶּ֞ם תִּכְתְּב֤וּ אֶת־ הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ שִׁבְעָ֣ה חֲלָקִ֔ים וַֽהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם אֵלַ֖י הֵ֑נָּה וְיָרִ֨יתִי לָכֶ֤ם גּוֹרָל֙ פֹּ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

BAN ⁷ Car aucune part ne sera adjugée aux Lévites parmi vous, car le sacerdoce de l'Eternel est leur héritage. Quant à Gad, à Ruben, et à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé, ils ont reçu à l'orient, de l'autre côté du Jourdain, leur héritage que Moïse, serviteur de l'Eternel, leur a donné.

KJV ⁷ But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.

WLC ⁷ כִּ֠י אֵֽין־ חֵ֤לֶק לַלְוִיִּם֙ בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֔ם כִּֽי־ כְהֻנַּ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה נַחֲלָת֑וֹ וְגָ֡ד וּרְאוּבֵ֡ן וַחֲצִי֩ שֵׁ֨בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֜ה לָקְח֣וּ נַחֲלָתָ֗ם מֵעֵ֤בֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה אֲשֶׁר֙ נָתַ֣ן לָהֶ֔ם מֹשֶׁ֖ה עֶ֥בֶד יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ⁸ Et ces hommes se levèrent et partirent. Et Josué leur donna ses ordres quand ils partirent pour dresser l'état du pays, en disant : Allez, parcourez le pays, dressez en l'état, et revenez vers moi. Et, dans ce lieu-ci, je jetterai le sort pour vous en présence de l'Eternel à Silo.

KJV ⁸ And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh.

BAN ⁹ Et ces hommes s'en allèrent et traversèrent le pays, et en dressèrent l'état dans un livre selon les villes et le partagèrent en sept portions ; et ils vinrent auprès de Josué, dans le camp, à Silo.

KJV ⁹ And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.

BAN ¹⁰ Et Josué jeta le sort pour eux à Silo en présence de l'Eternel, et Josué partagea là le pays aux fils d'Israël en assignant à chacun sa portion.

KJV ¹⁰ And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.

BAN ¹¹ Et le lot de la tribu des fils de Benjamin fut tiré et son territoire lui échut, selon leurs familles, entre les fils de Juda et les fils de Joseph.

KJV ¹¹ And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

WLC ¹¹ וַיַּ֗עַל גּוֹרַ֛ל מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ בִנְיָמִ֖ן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם וַיֵּצֵא֙ גְּב֣וּל גּֽוֹרָלָ֔ם בֵּ֚ין בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבֵ֖ין בְּנֵ֥י יוֹסֵֽף׃

BAN ¹² Leur frontière du côté du nord partait du Jourdain ; elle s'élevait sur le versant de Jéricho, au nord ; puis elle s'élevait sur la montagne à l'occident et aboutissait au désert de Beth-Aven.

KJV ¹² And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Bethaven.

WLC ¹² וַיְהִ֨י לָהֶ֧ם הַגְּב֛וּל לִפְאַ֥ת צָפ֖וֹנָה מִן־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן וְעָלָ֣ה הַגְּבוּל֩ אֶל־ כֶּ֨תֶף יְרִיח֜וֹ מִצָּפ֗וֹן וְעָלָ֤ה בָהָר֙ יָ֔מָּה תֹּֽצְאֹתָ֔יו מִדְבַּ֖רָה בֵּ֥ית אָֽוֶן׃

BAN ¹³ De là, elle passait à Luz, sur le versant de Luz, au midi, c'est Béthel ; puis elle descendait à Ataroth-Addar sur la montagne qui est au midi de la Basse Beth-Horon.

KJV ¹³ And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Bethhoron.

WLC ¹³ וְעָבַר֩ מִשָּׁ֨ם הַגְּב֜וּל ל֗וּזָה אֶל־ כֶּ֤תֶף ל֙וּזָה֙ נֶ֔גְבָּה הִ֖יא בֵּֽית־ אֵ֑ל וְיָרַ֤ד הַגְּבוּל֙ עַטְר֣וֹת אַדָּ֔ר עַל־ הָהָ֕ר אֲשֶׁ֛ר מִנֶּ֥גֶב לְבֵית־ חֹר֖וֹן תַּחְתּֽוֹן׃

BAN ¹⁴ Elle tournait ensuite et se dirigeait vers l'occident, au midi de la montagne située en face de Beth-Horon au midi, et elle aboutissait à Kirjath-Baal, c'est-à-dire Kirjath-Jéarim, ville des fils de Juda. Voilà pour le côté occidental.

KJV ¹⁴ And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Bethhoron southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.

WLC ¹⁴ וְתָאַ֣ר הַגְּבוּל֩ וְנָסַ֨ב לִפְאַת־ יָ֜ם נֶ֗גְבָּה מִן־ הָהָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י בֵית־ חֹרוֹן֮ נֶגְבָּה֒ תֹֽצְאֹתָ֗יו אֶל־ קִרְיַת־ בַּ֙עַל֙ הִ֚יא קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֔ים עִ֖יר בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה זֹ֖את פְּאַת־ יָֽם׃

BAN ¹⁵ Et pour le côté méridional, elle partait, à l'occident, de l'extrémité de Kirjath-Jéarim, et se dirigeait vers la source des eaux de Nephthoach.

KJV ¹⁵ And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjathjearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:

WLC ¹⁵ וּפְאַת־ נֶ֕גְבָּה מִקְצֵ֖ה קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֑ים וְיָצָ֤א הַגְּבוּל֙ יָ֔מָּה וְיָצָ֕א אֶל־ מַעְיַ֖ן מֵ֥י נֶפְתּֽוֹחַ׃

BAN ¹⁶ Et elle descendait vers l'extrémité de la montagne qui fait face à la vallée de Ben-Hinnom, située dans la partie nord de la vallée des Réphaïm, puis, suivant la vallée de Hinnom, elle se dirigeait vers le versant méridional des Jébusiens jusqu'à En-Roguel.

KJV ¹⁶ And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,

WLC ¹⁶ וְיָרַ֨ד הַגְּב֜וּל אֶל־ קְצֵ֣ה הָהָ֗ר אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־ פְּנֵי֙ גֵּ֣י בֶן־ הִנֹּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֛ר בְּעֵ֥מֶק רְפָאִ֖ים צָפ֑וֹנָה וְיָרַד֩ גֵּ֨י הִנֹּ֜ם אֶל־ כֶּ֤תֶף הַיְבוּסִי֙ נֶ֔גְבָּה וְיָרַ֖ד עֵ֥ין רֹגֵֽל׃

BAN ¹⁷ Et elle tournait au nord, passait par En-Sémès, et se dirigeait vers Guéliloth, qui est vis-à-vis de la montée d'Adummim, et elle descendait à la pierre de Bohan, fils de Ruben.

KJV ¹⁷ And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,

WLC ¹⁷ וְתָאַ֣ר מִצָּפ֗וֹן וְיָצָא֙ עֵ֣ין שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ וְיָצָא֙ אֶל־ גְּלִיל֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר־ נֹ֖כַח מַעֲלֵ֣ה אֲדֻמִּ֑ים וְיָרַ֕ד אֶ֥בֶן בֹּ֖הַן בֶּן־ רְאוּבֵֽן׃

BAN ¹⁸ Elle passait par le versant septentrional en face de la plaine et descendait à la plaine.

KJV ¹⁸ And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:

WLC ¹⁸ וְעָבַ֛ר אֶל־ כֶּ֥תֶף מוּל־ הָֽעֲרָבָ֖ה צָפ֑וֹנָה וְיָרַ֖ד הָעֲרָבָֽתָה׃

BAN ¹⁹ Elle passait ensuite par le versant septentrional de Beth-Hogla et aboutissait à l'extrémité septentrionale de la mer Salée, vers l'embouchure du Jourdain. C'est là la limite méridionale.

KJV ¹⁹ And the border passed along to the side of Bethhoglah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.

WLC ¹⁹ וְעָבַ֨ר הַגְּב֜וּל אֶל־ כֶּ֣תֶף בֵּית־ חָגְלָה֮ צָפוֹנָה֒ הַגְּב֗וּל אֶל־ לְשׁ֤וֹן יָם־ הַמֶּ֙לַח֙ צָפ֔וֹנָה אֶל־ קְצֵ֥ה הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן נֶ֑גְבָּה זֶ֖ה גְּב֥וּל נֶֽגֶב׃

BAN ²⁰ Le Jourdain formait la limite du côté de l'orient. Tel fut l'héritage des fils de Benjamin, d'après ses frontières de tous les côtés, selon leurs familles.

KJV ²⁰ And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.

WLC ²⁰ וְהַיַּרְדֵּ֥ן יִגְבֹּל־ אֹת֖וֹ לִפְאַת־ קֵ֑דְמָה זֹ֡את נַחֲלַת֩ בְּנֵ֨י בִנְיָמִ֧ן לִגְבֽוּלֹתֶ֛יהָ סָבִ֖יב לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃

BAN ²¹ Les villes de la tribu des fils de Benjamin selon leurs familles étaient Jéricho, Beth-Hogla, Emek-Ketsits,

BAN ²⁸ Tséla, Eleph, Jébus, qui est Jérusalem, Guibéath, Kirjath : quatorze villes et leurs villages. Tel fut l'héritage des fils de Benjamin, selon leurs familles.

KJV ²⁸ And Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
