KJV ³ Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.

KJV ⁵ He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.

KJV ⁶ He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.

KJV ⁷ He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.

KJV ⁸ Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

KJV ²² It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

KJV ⁴⁴ Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

ne transeat oratio.

KJV ⁴⁵ Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.

in medio populorum.

KJV ⁴⁶ All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

KJV ⁵⁵ I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.

WLC ⁵⁵ קָרָ֤אתִי שִׁמְךָ֙ יְהוָ֔ה מִבּ֖וֹר תַּחְתִּיּֽוֹת׃

KJV ⁵⁶ Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.

MAR ⁵⁶ Tu as ouï ma voix, ne ferme point ton oreille, afin que je n’expire point à force de crier.

VULC ⁵⁶ Vocem meam audisti ; ne avertas aurem tuam
a singultu meo et clamoribus.

WLC ⁵⁶ קוֹלִ֖י שָׁמָ֑עְתָּ אַל־ תַּעְלֵ֧ם אָזְנְךָ֛ לְרַוְחָתִ֖י לְשַׁוְעָתִֽי׃

KJV ⁵⁷ Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.

MAR ⁵⁷ Tu t’es approché au jour que je t’ai invoqué, et tu as dit : ne crains rien.

VULC ⁵⁷ Appropinquasti in die quando invocavi te ;
dixisti : Ne timeas.

WLC ⁵⁷ קָרַ֙בְתָּ֙ בְּי֣וֹם אֶקְרָאֶ֔ךָּ אָמַ֖רְתָּ אַל־ תִּירָֽא׃

KJV ⁵⁸ O LORD, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

MAR ⁵⁸ [Resch.] Ô Seigneur ! tu as plaidé la cause de mon âme ; et tu as garanti ma vie.

VULC ⁵⁸ Judicasti, Domine, causam animæ meæ,
redemptor vitæ meæ.

WLC ⁵⁸ רַ֧בְתָּ אֲדֹנָ֛י רִיבֵ֥י נַפְשִׁ֖י גָּאַ֥לְתָּ חַיָּֽי׃

KJV ⁵⁹ O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.

MAR ⁵⁹ Tu as vu, ô Eternel ! le tort qu’on me fait, fais-moi droit.

VULC ⁵⁹ Vidisti, Domine, iniquitatem illorum adversum me :
judica judicium meum.

KJV ⁶⁰ Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.

MAR ⁶⁰ Tu as vu toutes les vengeances dont ils ont usé, et toutes leurs machinations contre moi.

VULC ⁶⁰ Vidisti omnem furorem,
universas cogitationes eorum adversum me.

WLC ⁶⁰ רָאִ֙יתָה֙ כָּל־ נִקְמָתָ֔ם כָּל־ מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֖ם לִֽי׃

KJV ⁶¹ Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;

MAR ⁶¹ [Scin.] Tu as ouï, ô Eternel ! leur opprobe et toutes leurs machinations contre moi.

VULC ⁶¹ Audisti opprobrium eorum, Domine,
omnes cogitationes eorum adversum me.

WLC ⁶¹ שָׁמַ֤עְתָּ חֶרְפָּתָם֙ יְהוָ֔ה כָּל־ מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֖ם עָלָֽי׃

KJV ⁶² The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.

MAR ⁶² Les discours de ceux qui s’élèvent contre moi, et leur dessein qu’ils ont contre moi tout le long du jour.

VULC ⁶² Labia insurgentium mihi, et meditationes eorum
adversum me tota die.

WLC ⁶² שִׂפְתֵ֤י קָמַי֙ וְהֶגְיוֹנָ֔ם עָלַ֖י כָּל־ הַיּֽוֹם׃

KJV ⁶³ Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.

MAR ⁶³ Considère quand ils s’asseyent, et quand ils se lèvent, [car] je suis leur chanson.

VULC ⁶³ Sessionem eorum et resurrectionem eorum vide ;
ego sum psalmus eorum.

WLC ⁶³ שִׁבְתָּ֤ם וְקִֽימָתָם֙ הַבִּ֔יטָה אֲנִ֖י מַנְגִּינָתָֽם׃

KJV ⁶⁴ Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

MAR ⁶⁴ [Thau.] Rends-leur la pareille, ô Eternel ! selon l’ouvrage de leurs mains.

VULC ⁶⁴ Reddes eis vicem, Domine,
juxta opera manuum suarum.

WLC ⁶⁴ תָּשִׁ֨יב לָהֶ֥ם גְּמ֛וּל יְהוָ֖ה כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁶⁵ Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.

MAR ⁶⁵ Donne-leur un tel ennui qu’il leur couvre le coeur ; donne-leur ta malédiction.

VULC ⁶⁵ Dabis eis scutum cordis,
laborem tuum.

WLC ⁶⁵ תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ מְגִנַּת־ לֵ֔ב תַּאֲלָֽתְךָ֖ לָהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁶⁶ Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.

MAR ⁶⁶ Poursuis-les en ta colère, et les efface de dessous les cieux de l’Eternel.

VULC ⁶⁶ Persequeris in furore, et conteres eos
sub cælis, Domine.]
