WLC ¹ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֱמֹ֥ר אֶל־ הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים בְּנֵ֣י אַהֲרֹ֑ן וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ לֹֽא־ יִטַּמָּ֖א בְּעַמָּֽיו׃

BCC ² Nul ne se rendra impur au milieu de son peuple pour un mort, excepté pour son parent du même rang, pour sa mère, pour son père, pour son fils, pour sa fille ; pour son frère,

KJV ² But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother.

VULC ² nisi tantum in consanguineis, ac propinquis, id est, super patre et matre, et filio, et filia, fratre quoque,

WLC ² כִּ֚י אִם־ לִשְׁאֵר֔וֹ הַקָּרֹ֖ב אֵלָ֑יו לְאִמּ֣וֹ וּלְאָבִ֔יו וְלִבְנ֥וֹ וּלְבִתּ֖וֹ וּלְאָחִֽיו׃

BCC ³ et pour sa soeur vierge, qui vit auprès de lui, n'étant pas encore mariée ; pour elle il se rendra impur.

KJV ³ And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

WLC ³ וְלַאֲחֹת֤וֹ הַבְּתוּלָה֙ הַקְּרוֹבָ֣ה אֵלָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ הָיְתָ֖ה לְאִ֑ישׁ לָ֖הּ יִטַּמָּֽא׃

BCC ⁴ Chef de maison parmi son peuple, il ne se souillera pas et ne profanera pas sa dignité.

KJV ⁴ But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

VULC ⁴ sed nec in principe populi sui contaminabitur.

WLC ⁴ לֹ֥א יִטַּמָּ֖א בַּ֣עַל בְּעַמָּ֑יו לְהֵ֖חַלּֽוֹ׃

BCC ⁵ Les prêtres ne se raseront pas la tête, ils n'enlèveront pas les côtés de leur barbe, et ils ne feront pas d'incisions dans leur chair.

KJV ⁵ They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

VULC ⁵ Non radent caput, nec barbam, neque in carnibus suis facient incisuras.

WLC ⁵ לֹֽא־ קָרְחָה֙ בְּרֹאשָׁ֔ם וּפְאַ֥ת זְקָנָ֖ם לֹ֣א יְגַלֵּ֑חוּ וּבִ֨בְשָׂרָ֔ם לֹ֥א יִשְׂרְט֖וּ שָׂרָֽטֶת׃

BCC ⁶ Ils seront saints pour leur Dieu, et ils ne profaneront pas le nom de leur Dieu, car ils offrent à Yahweh des sacrifices consumés par le feu, le pain de leur Dieu : ils seront saints.

KJV ⁶ They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

VULC ⁶ Sancti erunt Deo suo, et non polluent nomen ejus : incensum enim Domini, et panes Dei sui offerunt, et ideo sancti erunt.

WLC ⁶ קְדֹשִׁ֤ים יִהְיוּ֙ לֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם וְלֹ֣א יְחַלְּל֔וּ שֵׁ֖ם אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם כִּי֩ אֶת־ אִשֵּׁ֨י יְהוָ֜ה לֶ֧חֶם אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֛ם הֵ֥ם מַקְרִיבִ֖ם וְהָ֥יוּ קֹֽדֶשׁ׃

BCC ⁷ Ils ne prendront point une femme prostituée ou déshonorée ; ils ne prendront point une femme répudiée par son mari, car le prêtre est saint pour son Dieu.

KJV ⁷ They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

VULC ⁷ Scortum et vile prostibulum non ducent uxorem, nec eam quæ repudiata est a marito : quia consecrati sunt Deo suo,

WLC ⁷ אִשָּׁ֨ה זֹנָ֤ה וַחֲלָלָה֙ לֹ֣א יִקָּ֔חוּ וְאִשָּׁ֛ה גְּרוּשָׁ֥ה מֵאִישָׁ֖הּ לֹ֣א יִקָּ֑חוּ כִּֽי־ קָדֹ֥שׁ ה֖וּא לֵאלֹהָֽיו׃

BCC ⁸ Tu le tiendras pour saint, car il offre le pain de ton Dieu ; il sera saint pour toi, car je suis saint, moi Yahweh, qui vous sanctifie.

KJV ⁸ Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.

VULC ⁸ et panes propositionis offerunt. Sint ergo sancti, quia et ego sanctus sum, Dominus qui sanctifico eos.

WLC ⁸ וְקִדַּשְׁתּ֔וֹ כִּֽי־ אֶת־ לֶ֥חֶם אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ ה֣וּא מַקְרִ֑יב קָדֹשׁ֙ יִֽהְיֶה־ לָּ֔ךְ כִּ֣י קָד֔וֹשׁ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃

BCC ⁹ Si la fille d'un prêtre se déshonore en se prostituant, elle déshonore son père elle sera brûlée au feu.

KJV ⁹ And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

VULC ⁹ Sacerdotis filia si deprehensa fuerit in stupro, et violaverit nomen patris sui, flammis exuretur.

WLC ⁹ וּבַת֙ אִ֣ישׁ כֹּהֵ֔ן כִּ֥י תֵחֵ֖ל לִזְנ֑וֹת אֶת־ אָבִ֙יהָ֙ הִ֣יא מְחַלֶּ֔לֶת בָּאֵ֖שׁ תִּשָּׂרֵֽף׃

BCC ¹⁰ Le grand prêtre qui est au-dessus de ses frères, sur la tête duquel a été répandue l'huile d'onction, et qui a été installé pour revêtir les vêtements sacrés, ne découvrira pas sa tête et ne déchirera pas ses vêtements.

KJV ¹⁰ And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

BCC ¹¹ Il n'approchera d'aucun mort ; il ne se rendra impur ni pour son père, ni pour sa mère.

KJV ¹¹ Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

VULC ¹¹ et ad omnem mortuum non ingredietur omnino : super patre quoque suo et matre non contaminabitur.

BCC ¹² Il ne sortira pas du sanctuaire, et ne profanera pas le sanctuaire de son Dieu, car l'huile d'onction de son Dieu est un diadème sur lui. Je suis Yahweh.

KJV ¹² Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.

VULC ¹² Nec egredietur de sanctis, ne polluat sanctuarium Domini, quia oleum sanctæ unctionis Dei sui super eum est. Ego Dominus.

WLC ¹² וּמִן־ הַמִּקְדָּשׁ֙ לֹ֣א יֵצֵ֔א וְלֹ֣א יְחַלֵּ֔ל אֵ֖ת מִקְדַּ֣שׁ אֱלֹהָ֑יו כִּ֡י נֵ֠זֶר שֶׁ֣מֶן מִשְׁחַ֧ת אֱלֹהָ֛יו עָלָ֖יו אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ¹³ Il prendra pour femme une vierge.

KJV ¹³ And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

BCC ¹⁴ Il ne prendra ni une veuve, ni une femme répudiée, ni une femme déshonorée ou prostituée ;

KJV ¹⁴ A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

VULC ¹⁴ viduam autem et repudiatam, et sordidam, atque meretricem non accipiet, sed puellam de populo suo :

WLC ¹⁴ אַלְמָנָ֤ה וּגְרוּשָׁה֙ וַחֲלָלָ֣ה זֹנָ֔ה אֶת־ אֵ֖לֶּה לֹ֣א יִקָּ֑ח כִּ֛י אִם־ בְּתוּלָ֥ה מֵעַמָּ֖יו יִקַּ֥ח אִשָּֽׁה׃

BCC ¹⁵ mais il prendra pour femme une vierge du milieu de son peuple. Il ne déshonorera pas sa postérité au milieu de son peuple ; car je suis Yahweh, qui le sanctifie.

BCC ¹⁶ Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant : "parle à Aaron, et dis-lui :

VULC ¹⁶ Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :

WLC ¹⁶ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

BCC ¹⁷ Nul homme de ta race, dans toutes les générations, qui aura une difformité corporelle, n'approchera pour offrir le pain de ton Dieu.

KJV ¹⁷ Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

BCC ¹⁸ Car nul homme qui a une difformité corporelle n'approchera : un homme aveugle ou boiteux,

KJV ¹⁸ For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

VULC ¹⁸ nec accedet ad ministerium ejus : si cæcus fuerit, si claudus, si parvo vel grandi, vel torto naso,

WLC ¹⁸ כִּ֥י כָל־ אִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־ בּ֥וֹ מ֖וּם לֹ֣א יִקְרָ֑ב אִ֤ישׁ עִוֵּר֙ א֣וֹ פִסֵּ֔חַ א֥וֹ חָרֻ֖ם א֥וֹ שָׂרֽוּעַ׃

BCC ¹⁹ ou qui aura une mutilation ou une excroissance ; ou un homme qui aura une fracture au pied ou à la main ;

KJV ¹⁹ Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

BCC ²⁰ qui sera bossu ou nain, ou qui aura une tache à l'oeil, la gale, une dartre ou les testicules écrasés.

KJV ²⁰ Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

VULC ²⁰ si gibbus, si lippus, si albuginem habens in oculo, si jugem scabiem, si impetiginem in corpore, vel herniosus.

WLC ²⁰ אֽוֹ־ גִבֵּ֣ן אוֹ־ דַ֔ק א֖וֹ תְּבַלֻּ֣ל בְּעֵינ֑וֹ א֤וֹ גָרָב֙ א֣וֹ יַלֶּ֔פֶת א֖וֹ מְר֥וֹחַ אָֽשֶׁךְ׃

BCC ²¹ Nul homme de la race du prêtre Aaron qui aura une difformité corporelle, ne s'approchera pour offrir à Yahweh les sacrifices faits par le feu : il a une difformité corporelle qu'il ne s'approche point pour offrir le pain de son Dieu.

KJV ²¹ No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

VULC ²¹ Omnis qui habuerit maculam de semine Aaron sacerdotis, non accedet offerre hostias Domino, nec panes Deo suo :

WLC ²¹ כָּל־ אִ֞ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־ בּ֣וֹ מ֗וּם מִזֶּ֙רַע֙ אַהֲרֹ֣ן הַכֹּהֵ֔ן לֹ֣א יִגַּ֔שׁ לְהַקְרִ֖יב אֶת־ אִשֵּׁ֣י יְהוָ֑ה מ֣וּם בּ֔וֹ אֵ֚ת לֶ֣חֶם אֱלֹהָ֔יו לֹ֥א יִגַּ֖שׁ לְהַקְרִֽיב׃

BCC ²² Il pourra manger le pain de son Dieu, des choses très saintes et des choses saintes.

KJV ²² He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

WLC ²³ אַ֣ךְ אֶל־ הַפָּרֹ֜כֶת לֹ֣א יָבֹ֗א וְאֶל־ הַמִּזְבֵּ֛חַ לֹ֥א יִגַּ֖שׁ כִּֽי־ מ֣וּם בּ֑וֹ וְלֹ֤א יְחַלֵּל֙ אֶת־ מִקְדָּשַׁ֔י כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃
