Matthieu 18:23-34

BCC 23 C'est pourquoi le royaume des cieux est semblable à un roi qui voulu régler ses comptes avec ses serviteurs.

KJV 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

BCC 24 Quand il se mit à régler les comptes, on lui amena un débiteur de dix mille talents.

KJV 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

BCC 25 Comme il n'avait pas de quoi payer, son maître ordonna qu'on le vendît, lui, sa femme, ses enfants et tout ce qu'il avait pour que paiement fût fait.

KJV 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

BCC 26 Alors le serviteur, tombé à ses pieds, demeurait prosterné, disant : "Seigneur, aie patience envers moi, et je te paierai tout."

KJV 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

BCC 27 Touché de compassion, le maître de ce serviteur le laissa aller et lui remit sa dette.

KJV 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

BCC 28 Ce serviteur, à peine sorti, rencontra un de ses compagnons de service, qui lui devait cent deniers. L'ayant saisi à la gorge, il l'étouffait, disant : "paie ce que tu dois."

KJV 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

BCC 29 Son compagnon de service, tombé à ses pieds, le suppliait, disant : " Aie patience envers moi, et je te paierai."

KJV 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

BCC 30 Mai lui ne voulait pas, et il s'en alla le faire mettre en prison jusqu'à ce qu'il eût payé sa dette.

KJV 30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

BCC 31 Ce que voyant, ses compagnons de service furent grandement contristés, et ils vinrent raconter à leur maître ce qui s'était passé.

KJV 31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

BCC 32 Alors le maître le fit appeler et lui dit : "serviteur méchant, je t'ai remis toute cette dette, parce que tu m'as supplié.

KJV 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

BCC 33 Ne devais-tu pas, toi aussi, avoir pitié de ton compagnon de service, comme moi-même j'ai eu pitié de toi ?"

KJV 33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

BCC 34 Et son maître irrité le livra aux bourreaux, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût payé toute sa dette.

KJV 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
