KJV ² Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.

NEG ² Ecoutez, vous tous, peuples! Sois attentive, terre, et ce qui est en toi! Que le Seigneur, l'Eternel, soit témoin contre vous, Le Seigneur qui est dans le palais de sa sainteté!

et attendat terra, et plenitudo ejus :
et sit Dominus Deus vobis in testem,
Dominus de templo sancto suo.

KJV ³ For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

VULC ³ Quia ecce Dominus egredietur de loco suo,
et descendet, et calcabit super excelsa terræ.

WLC ³ כִּֽי־ הִנֵּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה יֹצֵ֣א מִמְּקוֹמ֑וֹ וְיָרַ֥ד וְדָרַ֖ךְ עַל־ אָֽרֶץ׃

KJV ⁴ And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

NEG ⁴ Sous lui les montagnes se fondent, Les vallées s'entrouvrent, Comme la cire devant le feu, Comme l'eau qui coule sur une pente.

VULC ⁴ Et consumentur montes subtus eum,
et valles scindentur sicut cera a facie ignis,
et sicut aquæ quæ decurrunt in præceps.

WLC ⁴ וְנָמַ֤סּוּ הֶֽהָרִים֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו וְהָעֲמָקִ֖ים יִתְבַּקָּ֑עוּ כַּדּוֹנַג֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י הָאֵ֔שׁ כְּמַ֖יִם מֻגָּרִ֥ים בְּמוֹרָֽד׃

KJV ⁵ For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

NEG ⁵ Et tout cela à cause du crime de Jacob, A cause des péchés de la maison d'Israël! Quel est le crime de Jacob? N'est-ce pas Samarie? Quels sont les hauts lieux de Juda? N'est-ce pas Jérusalem?…

VULC ⁵ In scelere Jacob omne istud,
et in peccatis domus Israël.
Quod scelus Jacob ? nonne Samaria ?
et quæ excelsa Judæ ? nonne Jerusalem ?

WLC ⁵ בְּפֶ֤שַׁע יַֽעֲקֹב֙ כָּל־ זֹ֔את וּבְחַטֹּ֖אות בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִֽי־ פֶ֣שַׁע יַעֲקֹ֗ב הֲלוֹא֙ שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן וּמִי֙ בָּמ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֔ה הֲל֖וֹא יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

KJV ⁶ Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

NEG ⁶ Je ferai de Samarie un monceau de pierres dans les champs, Un lieu pour planter de la vigne; Je précipiterai ses pierres dans la vallée, Je mettrai à nu ses fondements,

VULC ⁶ Et ponam Samariam quasi acervum lapidum in agro,
cum plantatur vinea ;
et detraham in vallem lapides ejus,
et fundamenta ejus revelabo.

WLC ⁶ וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י שֹׁמְר֛וֹן לְעִ֥י הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה לְמַטָּ֣עֵי כָ֑רֶם וְהִגַּרְתִּ֤י לַגַּי֙ אֲבָנֶ֔יהָ וִיסֹדֶ֖יהָ אֲגַלֶּֽה׃

KJV ⁷ And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

et omnes mercedes ejus comburentur igne,
et omnia idola ejus ponam in perditionem,
quia de mercedibus meretricis congregata sunt,
et usque ad mercedem meretricis revertentur.

KJV ⁸ Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

KJV ⁹ For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

KJV ¹² For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

VULC ¹² Quia infirmata est in bonum,

KJV ¹³ O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.
