BAN ¹ Et Marie avec Aaron parla contre Moïse au sujet de la femme cuschite qu'il avait prise, car il avait pris une femme cuschite.

KJV ¹ And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

WLC ¹ וַתְּדַבֵּ֨ר מִרְיָ֤ם וְאַהֲרֹן֙ בְּמֹשֶׁ֔ה עַל־ אֹד֛וֹת הָאִשָּׁ֥ה הַכֻּשִׁ֖ית אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָקָ֑ח כִּֽי־ אִשָּׁ֥ה כֻשִׁ֖ית לָקָֽח׃

BAN ² Et ils dirent : Est-ce seulement par Moïse que l'Eternel a parlé ? n'a-t-il pas parlé par nous aussi ? Et l'Eternel l'entendit.

KJV ² And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

WLC ² וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ הֲרַ֤ק אַךְ־ בְּמֹשֶׁה֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הֲלֹ֖א גַּם־ בָּ֣נוּ דִבֵּ֑ר וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ³ Or cet homme, Moïse, était fort doux, plus doux qu'aucun homme qui fût sur la face de la terre.

KJV ³ (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

WLC ³ וְהָאִ֥ישׁ מֹשֶׁ֖ה מְאֹ֑ד מִכֹּל֙ הָֽאָדָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃

BAN ⁴ Et l'Eternel dit soudain à Moïse, à Aaron et à Marie : Sortez, vous trois, vers la Tente d'assignation. Et ils sortirent tous trois.

KJV ⁴ And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

WLC ⁴ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה פִּתְאֹ֗ם אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאֶֽל־ אַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶל־ מִרְיָ֔ם צְא֥וּ שְׁלָשְׁתְּכֶ֖ם אֶל־ אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיֵּצְא֖וּ שְׁלָשְׁתָּֽם׃

BAN ⁵ Et l'Eternel dans la colonne de nuée descendit et se tint à l'entrée de la Tente. Et il appela Aaron et Marie, qui sortirent tous deux.

KJV ⁵ And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

WLC ⁵ וַיֵּ֤רֶד יְהוָה֙ בְּעַמּ֣וּד עָנָ֔ן וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד פֶּ֣תַח הָאֹ֑הֶל וַיִּקְרָא֙ אַהֲרֹ֣ן וּמִרְיָ֔ם וַיֵּצְא֖וּ שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃

BAN ⁶ Et il dit : Ecoutez bien mes paroles ! Si vous avez quelque prophète de l'Eternel, c'est en vision que je me fais connaître à lui, c'est en songe que je lui parle.

KJV ⁶ And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

WLC ⁶ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שִׁמְעוּ־ נָ֣א דְבָרָ֑י אִם־ יִֽהְיֶה֙ נְבִ֣יאֲכֶ֔ם יְהוָ֗ה בַּמַּרְאָה֙ אֵלָ֣יו אֶתְוַדָּ֔ע בַּחֲל֖וֹם אֲדַבֶּר־ בּֽוֹ׃

BAN ⁷ Il n'en est pas ainsi de mon serviteur Moïse ; toute ma maison lui est confiée.

KJV ⁷ My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

WLC ⁷ לֹא־ כֵ֖ן עַבְדִּ֣י מֹשֶׁ֑ה בְּכָל־ בֵּיתִ֖י נֶאֱמָ֥ן הֽוּא׃

BAN ⁸ Je lui parle bouche à bouche, et en me faisant voir, et non par énigmes, et il contemple la figure de l'Eternel. Comment donc n'avez-vous pas craint de parler contre mon serviteur, contre Moïse ?

KJV ⁸ With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

WLC ⁸ פֶּ֣ה אֶל־ פֶּ֞ה אֲדַבֶּר־ בּ֗וֹ וּמַרְאֶה֙ וְלֹ֣א בְחִידֹ֔ת וּתְמֻנַ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה יַבִּ֑יט וּמַדּ֙וּעַ֙ לֹ֣א יְרֵאתֶ֔ם לְדַבֵּ֖ר בְּעַבְדִּ֥י בְמֹשֶֽׁה׃

BAN ⁹ Et la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre eux, et il s'en alla.

KJV ⁹ And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

WLC ⁹ וַיִּֽחַר אַ֧ף יְהוָ֛ה בָּ֖ם וַיֵּלַֽךְ׃

BAN ¹⁰ Et, à peine la nuée s'était-elle retirée de dessus la Tente, que voici Marie était lépreuse, [blanche] comme la neige. Et Aaron se tourna vers Marie ; et voici, elle était lépreuse ;

KJV ¹⁰ And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

WLC ¹⁰ וְהֶעָנָ֗ן סָ֚ר מֵעַ֣ל הָאֹ֔הֶל וְהִנֵּ֥ה מִרְיָ֖ם מְצֹרַ֣עַת כַּשָּׁ֑לֶג וַיִּ֧פֶן אַהֲרֹ֛ן אֶל־ מִרְיָ֖ם וְהִנֵּ֥ה מְצֹרָֽעַת׃

BAN ¹¹ et Aaron dit à Moïse : De grâce, mon seigneur, ne mets pas sur nous un péché que nous avons commis par folie et dont nous sommes coupables !

KJV ¹¹ And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

WLC ¹¹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אַהֲרֹ֖ן אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֑ה בִּ֣י אֲדֹנִ֔י אַל־ נָ֨א תָשֵׁ֤ת עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ חַטָּ֔את אֲשֶׁ֥ר נוֹאַ֖לְנוּ וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר חָטָֽאנוּ׃

BAN ¹² Ah ! qu'elle ne soit pas comme l'enfant mort-né, dont la chair est déjà à demi consumée quand il sort du sein de sa mère !

KJV ¹² Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

WLC ¹² אַל־ נָ֥א תְהִ֖י כַּמֵּ֑ת אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּצֵאתוֹ֙ מֵרֶ֣חֶם אִמּ֔וֹ וַיֵּאָכֵ֖ל חֲצִ֥י בְשָׂרֽוֹ׃

BAN ¹³ Et Moïse cria à l'Eternel en disant : O Dieu, je te prie, guéris-la !

KJV ¹³ And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

WLC ¹³ וַיִּצְעַ֣ק מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־ יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר אֵ֕ל נָ֛א רְפָ֥א נָ֖א לָֽהּ׃

BAN ¹⁴ Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : Si son père lui avait craché au visage, n'en porterait-elle pas la honte pendant sept jours ? Qu'elle soit séquestrée sept jours hors du camp ; et après cela elle y sera reçue.

KJV ¹⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

WLC ¹⁴ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְאָבִ֙יהָ֙ יָרֹ֤ק יָרַק֙ בְּפָנֶ֔יהָ הֲלֹ֥א תִכָּלֵ֖ם שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים תִּסָּגֵ֞ר שִׁבְעַ֤ת יָמִים֙ מִח֣וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וְאַחַ֖ר תֵּאָסֵֽף׃

BAN ¹⁵ Et Marie fut séquestrée sept jours hors du camp, et le peuple ne partit point jusqu'à ce que Marie y eût été reçue.

KJV ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

WLC ¹⁵ וַתִּסָּגֵ֥ר מִרְיָ֛ם מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים וְהָעָם֙ לֹ֣א נָסַ֔ע עַד־ הֵאָסֵ֖ף מִרְיָֽם׃

KJV ¹⁶ And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

WLC ¹⁶ וְאַחַ֛ר נָסְע֥וּ הָעָ֖ם מֵחֲצֵר֑וֹת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר פָּארָֽן׃
