KJV ² Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,

VULC ² Tolle summam filiorum Caath de medio Levitarum per domos et familias suas,

WLC ² נָשֹׂ֗א אֶת־ רֹאשׁ֙ בְּנֵ֣י קְהָ֔ת מִתּ֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י לֵוִ֑י לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֥ית אֲבֹתָֽם׃

KJV ³ From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

LSG ³ depuis l'âge de trente ans et au-dessus jusqu'à l'âge de cinquante ans, tous ceux qui sont propres à exercer quelque fonction dans la tente d'assignation.

VULC ³ a trigesimo anno et supra, usque ad quinquagesimum annum, omnium qui ingrediuntur ut stent et ministrent in tabernaculo fœderis.

WLC ³ מִבֶּ֨ן שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה כָּל־ בָּא֙ לַצָּבָ֔א לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת מְלָאכָ֖ה בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

KJV ⁴ This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:

LSG ⁴ Voici les fonctions des fils de Kehath, dans la tente d'assignation: elles concernent le lieu très saint.

VULC ⁴ Hic est cultus filiorum Caath : tabernaculum fœderis, et Sanctum sanctorum

WLC ⁴ זֹ֛את עֲבֹדַ֥ת בְּנֵי־ קְהָ֖ת בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד קֹ֖דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִֽׁים׃

KJV ⁵ And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:

LSG ⁵ Au départ du camp, Aaron et ses fils viendront démonter le voile, et ils en couvriront l'arche du témoignage ;

KJV ⁶ And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.

LSG ⁶ ils mettront dessus une couverture de peaux de dauphins, et ils étendront par-dessus un drap entièrement d'étoffe bleue ; puis ils placeront les barres de l'arche.

VULC ⁶ et operient rursum velamine janthinarum pellium, extendentque desuper pallium totum hyacinthinum, et inducent vectes.

WLC ⁶ וְנָתְנ֣וּ עָלָ֗יו כְּסוּי֙ ע֣וֹר תַּ֔חַשׁ וּפָרְשׂ֧וּ בֶֽגֶד־ כְּלִ֛יל תְּכֵ֖לֶת מִלְמָ֑עְלָה וְשָׂמ֖וּ בַּדָּֽיו׃

KJV ⁷ And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:

LSG ⁷ Ils étendront un drap bleu sur la table des pains de proposition, et ils mettront dessus les plats, les coupes, les tasses et les calices pour les libations ; le pain y sera toujours ;

VULC ⁷ Mensam quoque propositionis involvent hyacinthino pallio, et ponent cum ea thuribula et mortariola, cyathos et crateras ad liba fundenda : panes semper in ea erunt :

WLC ⁷ וְעַ֣ל ׀ שֻׁלְחַ֣ן הַפָּנִ֗ים יִפְרְשׂוּ֮ בֶּ֣גֶד תְּכֵלֶת֒ וְנָתְנ֣וּ עָ֠לָיו אֶת־ הַקְּעָרֹ֤ת וְאֶת־ הַכַּפֹּת֙ וְאֶת־ הַמְּנַקִּיֹּ֔ת וְאֵ֖ת קְשׂ֣וֹת הַנָּ֑סֶךְ וְלֶ֥חֶם הַתָּמִ֖יד עָלָ֥יו יִהְיֶֽה׃

KJV ⁸ And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.

LSG ⁸ ils étendront sur ces choses un drap de cramoisi, et ils l'envelopperont d'une couverture de peaux de dauphins ; puis ils placeront les barres de la table.

VULC ⁸ extendentque desuper pallium coccineum, quod rursum operient velamento janthinarum pellium, et inducent vectes.

WLC ⁸ וּפָרְשׂ֣וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם בֶּ֚גֶד תּוֹלַ֣עַת שָׁנִ֔י וְכִסּ֣וּ אֹת֔וֹ בְּמִכְסֵ֖ה ע֣וֹר תָּ֑חַשׁ וְשָׂמ֖וּ אֶת־ בַּדָּֽיו׃

KJV ⁹ And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:

WLC ⁹ וְלָקְח֣וּ ׀ בֶּ֣גֶד תְּכֵ֗לֶת וְכִסּ֞וּ אֶת־ מְנֹרַ֤ת הַמָּאוֹר֙ וְאֶת־ נֵ֣רֹתֶ֔יהָ וְאֶת־ מַלְקָחֶ֖יהָ וְאֶת־ מַחְתֹּתֶ֑יהָ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ כְּלֵ֣י שַׁמְנָ֔הּ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְשָׁרְתוּ־ לָ֖הּ בָּהֶֽם׃

KJV ¹⁰ And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar.

KJV ¹¹ And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:

KJV ¹² And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar:

KJV ¹³ And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:

VULC ¹³ Sed et altare mundabunt cinere, et involvent illud purpureo vestimento,

WLC ¹³ וְדִשְּׁנ֖וּ אֶת־ הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וּפָרְשׂ֣וּ עָלָ֔יו בֶּ֖גֶד אַרְגָּמָֽן׃

KJV ¹⁴ And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it.

LSG ¹⁴ ils mettront dessus tous les ustensiles destinés à son service, les brasiers, les fourchettes, les pelles, les bassins, tous les ustensiles de l'autel, et ils étendront par-dessus une couverture de peaux de dauphins ; puis ils placeront les barres de l'autel.

VULC ¹⁴ ponentque cum eo omnia vasa, quibus in ministerio ejus utuntur, id est, ignium receptacula, fuscinulas ac tridentes, uncinos et batilla. Cuncta vasa altaris operient simul velamine janthinarum pellium, et inducent vectes.

WLC ¹⁴ וְנָתְנ֣וּ עָ֠לָיו אֶֽת־ כָּל־ כֵּלָ֞יו אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְֽשָׁרְת֧וּ עָלָ֣יו בָּהֶ֗ם אֶת־ הַמַּחְתֹּ֤ת אֶת־ הַמִּזְלָגֹת֙ וְאֶת־ הַיָּעִ֣ים וְאֶת־ הַמִּזְרָקֹ֔ת כֹּ֖ל כְּלֵ֣י הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וּפָרְשׂ֣וּ עָלָ֗יו כְּס֛וּי ע֥וֹר תַּ֖חַשׁ וְשָׂמ֥וּ בַדָּֽיו׃

KJV ¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

LSG ¹⁵ Après qu'Aaron et ses fils auront achevé de couvrir le sanctuaire et tous les ustensiles du sanctuaire, les fils de Kehath viendront, au départ du camp, pour les porter ; mais ils ne toucheront point les choses saintes, de peur qu'ils ne meurent. Telles sont les fonctions de porteurs, imposées aux fils de Kehath dans la tente d'assignation.

VULC ¹⁵ Cumque involverint Aaron et filii ejus sanctuarium et omnia vasa ejus in commotione castrorum, tunc intrabunt filii Caath ut portent involuta : et non tangent vasa sanctuarii, ne moriantur. Ista sunt onera filiorum Caath in tabernaculo fœderis :

WLC ¹⁵ וְכִלָּ֣ה אַֽהֲרֹן־ וּ֠בָנָיו לְכַסֹּ֨ת אֶת־ הַקֹּ֜דֶשׁ וְאֶת־ כָּל־ כְּלֵ֣י הַקֹּדֶשׁ֮ בִּנְסֹ֣עַ הַֽמַּחֲנֶה֒ וְאַחֲרֵי־ כֵ֗ן יָבֹ֤אוּ בְנֵי־ קְהָת֙ לָשֵׂ֔את וְלֹֽא־ יִגְּע֥וּ אֶל־ הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ וָמֵ֑תוּ אֵ֛לֶּה מַשָּׂ֥א בְנֵֽי־ קְהָ֖ת בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

KJV ¹⁶ And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.

LSG ¹⁶ Éléazar, fils du sacrificateur Aaron, aura sous sa surveillance l'huile du chandelier, le parfum odoriférant, l'offrande perpétuelle et l'huile d'onction ; il aura sous sa surveillance tout le tabernacle et tout ce qu'il contient, le sanctuaire et ses ustensiles.

VULC ¹⁶ super quos erit Eleazar filius Aaron sacerdotis, ad cujus curam pertinet oleum ad concinnandas lucernas, et compositionis incensum, et sacrificium, quod semper offertur, et oleum unctionis, et quidquid ad cultum tabernaculi pertinet, omniumque vasorum, quæ in sanctuario sunt.

KJV ¹⁹ But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

LSG ¹⁹ Faites ceci pour eux, afin qu'ils vivent et qu'ils ne meurent point, quand ils s'approcheront du lieu très saint: Aaron et ses fils viendront, et ils placeront chacun d'eux à son service et à sa charge.

VULC ¹⁹ sed hoc facite eis, ut vivant, et non moriantur, si tetigerint Sancta sanctorum. Aaron et filii ejus intrabunt, ipsique disponent opera singulorum, et divident quid portare quis debeat.

WLC ¹⁹ וְזֹ֣את ׀ עֲשׂ֣וּ לָהֶ֗ם וְחָיוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א יָמֻ֔תוּ בְּגִשְׁתָּ֖ם אֶת־ קֹ֣דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים אַהֲרֹ֤ן וּבָנָיו֙ יָבֹ֔אוּ וְשָׂמ֣וּ אוֹתָ֗ם אִ֥ישׁ אִ֛ישׁ עַל־ עֲבֹדָת֖וֹ וְאֶל־ מַשָּׂאֽוֹ׃

KJV ²⁰ But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

WLC ²² נָשֹׂ֗א אֶת־ רֹ֛אשׁ בְּנֵ֥י גֵרְשׁ֖וֹן גַּם־ הֵ֑ם לְבֵ֥ית אֲבֹתָ֖ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃

KJV ²⁴ This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:

VULC ²⁴ Hoc est officium familiæ Gersonitarum,

WLC ²⁴ זֹ֣את עֲבֹדַ֔ת מִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּ֑י לַעֲבֹ֖ד וּלְמַשָּֽׂא׃

KJV ²⁵ And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

LSG ²⁵ Ils porteront les tapis du tabernacle et la tente d'assignation, sa couverture et la couverture de peaux de dauphins qui se met par-dessus, le rideau qui est à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation ;

VULC ²⁵ ut portent cortinas tabernaculi et tectum fœderis, operimentum aliud, et super omnia velamen janthinum tentoriumque quod pendet in introitu tabernaculi fœderis,

WLC ²⁵ וְנָ֨שְׂא֜וּ אֶת־ יְרִיעֹ֤ת הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ וְאֶת־ אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד מִכְסֵ֕הוּ וּמִכְסֵ֛ה הַתַּ֥חַשׁ אֲשֶׁר־ עָלָ֖יו מִלְמָ֑עְלָה וְאֶ֨ת־ מָסַ֔ךְ פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

KJV ²⁶ And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.

LSG ²⁶ les toiles du parvis et le rideau de l'entrée de la porte du parvis, tout autour du tabernacle et de l'autel, leurs cordages et tous les ustensiles qui en dépendent. Et ils feront tout le service qui s'y rapporte.

VULC ²⁶ cortinas atrii, et velum in introitu quod est ante tabernaculum. Omnia quæ ad altare pertinent, funiculos, et vasa ministerii,

WLC ²⁶ וְאֵת֩ קַלְעֵ֨י הֶֽחָצֵ֜ר וְאֶת־ מָסַ֣ךְ ׀ פֶּ֣תַח ׀ שַׁ֣עַר הֶחָצֵ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר עַל־ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֤ן וְעַל־ הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ סָבִ֔יב וְאֵת֙ מֵֽיתְרֵיהֶ֔ם וְאֶֽת־ כָּל־ כְּלֵ֖י עֲבֹדָתָ֑ם וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֧ר יֵעָשֶׂ֛ה לָהֶ֖ם וְעָבָֽדוּ׃

KJV ²⁷ At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.

LSG ²⁷ Dans leurs fonctions, les fils des Guerschonites seront sous les ordres d'Aaron et de ses fils, pour tout ce qu'ils porteront et pour tout le service qu'ils devront faire ; vous remettrez à leurs soins tout ce qu'ils ont à porter.

VULC ²⁷ jubente Aaron et filiis ejus, portabunt filii Gerson : et scient singuli cui debeant oneri mancipari.

WLC ²⁷ עַל־ פִּי֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן וּבָנָ֜יו תִּהְיֶ֗ה כָּל־ עֲבֹדַת֙ בְּנֵ֣י הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּ֔י לְכָל־ מַשָּׂאָ֔ם וּלְכֹ֖ל עֲבֹדָתָ֑ם וּפְקַדְתֶּ֤ם עֲלֵהֶם֙ בְּמִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת אֵ֖ת כָּל־ מַשָּׂאָֽם׃

KJV ²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
