KJV ⁶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

WLC ⁶ וְאֶת־ בָּנֶ֖יהָ לֹ֣א אֲרַחֵ֑ם כִּֽי־ בְנֵ֥י זְנוּנִ֖ים הֵֽמָּה׃

DRB ⁷ Et elle courra après ses amants, et ne les atteindra pas ; et elle les cherchera, et ne les trouvera pas. Et elle dira : J'irai et je m'en retournerai à mon premier mari ; car alors j'étais mieux que maintenant.

KJV ⁷ And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

WLC ⁷ כִּ֤י זָֽנְתָה֙ אִמָּ֔ם הֹבִ֖ישָׁה הֽוֹרָתָ֑ם כִּ֣י אָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֞ה אַחֲרֵ֤י מְאַהֲבַי֙ נֹתְנֵ֤י לַחְמִי֙ וּמֵימַ֔י צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י שַׁמְנִ֖י וְשִׁקּוּיָֽי׃

DRB ⁸ Et elle ne sait pas que c'est moi qui lui ai donné le blé, et le moût, et l'huile. Je lui ai multiplié aussi l'argent et l'or : - ils l'ont employé pour Baal.

KJV ⁸ For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

WLC ⁸ לָכֵ֛ן הִנְנִי־ שָׂ֥ךְ אֶת־ דַּרְכֵּ֖ךְ בַּסִּירִ֑ים וְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ אֶת־ גְּדֵרָ֔הּ וּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָ לֹ֥א תִמְצָֽא׃

DRB ⁹ C'est pourquoi je reprendrai mon blé en son temps, et mon moût en sa saison ; et j'ôterai ma laine et mon lin, qui devaient couvrir sa nudité.

KJV ⁹ Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

WLC ⁹ וְרִדְּפָ֤ה אֶת־ מְאַהֲבֶ֙יהָ֙ וְלֹֽא־ תַשִּׂ֣יג אֹתָ֔ם וּבִקְשָׁ֖תַם וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָ֑א וְאָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֤ה וְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ אֶל־ אִישִׁ֣י הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן כִּ֣י ט֥וֹב לִ֛י אָ֖ז מֵעָֽתָּה׃

DRB ¹⁰ Et maintenant je découvrirai sa honte aux yeux de ses amants, et personne ne la délivrera de ma main ;

KJV ¹⁰ And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

DRB ¹¹ et je ferai cesser toutes ses délices, sa fête, sa nouvelle lune, et son sabbat, et toutes ses assemblées ;

KJV ¹¹ I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

WLC ¹¹ לָכֵ֣ן אָשׁ֔וּב וְלָקַחְתִּ֤י דְגָנִי֙ בְּעִתּ֔וֹ וְתִירוֹשִׁ֖י בְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹ וְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י לְכַסּ֖וֹת אֶת־ עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃

DRB ¹² et je détruirai sa vigne et son figuier, dont elle disait : Ce sont là mes présents que mes amants m'ont donnés ; et j'en ferai une forêt, et les bêtes des champs les dévoreront.

KJV ¹² And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

WLC ¹² וְעַתָּ֛ה אֲגַלֶּ֥ה אֶת־ נַבְלֻתָ֖הּ לְעֵינֵ֣י מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ וְאִ֖ישׁ לֹֽא־ יַצִּילֶ֥נָּה מִיָּדִֽי׃

DRB ¹³ Et je visiterai sur elle les jours des Baals, où elle leur brûlait de l'encens, et se parait de son anneau de nez et de ses colliers, et allait après ses amants, et m'a oublié, dit l'Éternel.

KJV ¹³ And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.
