KJV ¹ Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

WLC ¹ לְכוּ֙ וְנָשׁ֣וּבָה אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֛י ה֥וּא טָרָ֖ף וְיִרְפָּאֵ֑נוּ יַ֖ךְ וְיַחְבְּשֵֽׁנוּ׃

BCC ² car c'est Lui qui a déchiré, il nous guérira ; il frappe mais il bandera nos plaies.

KJV ² After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

WLC ² יְחַיֵּ֖נוּ מִיֹּמָ֑יִם בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י יְקִמֵ֖נוּ וְנִחְיֶ֥ה לְפָנָֽיו׃

BCC ³ Après deux jours, il nous fera revivre ; le troisième jour, il nous relèvera, et nous vivrons devant lui. Connaissons, appliquons-nous à connaître Yahweh ; son lever est certain comme celui de l'aurore ; et il viendra à nous comme l'ondée, comme la pluie tardive qui arrose la terre.

KJV ³ Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

WLC ³ וְנֵדְעָ֣ה נִרְדְּפָ֗ה לָדַ֙עַת֙ אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה כְּשַׁ֖חַר נָכ֣וֹן מֽוֹצָא֑וֹ וְיָב֤וֹא כַגֶּ֙שֶׁם֙ לָ֔נוּ כְּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ י֥וֹרֶה אָֽרֶץ׃

BCC ⁴ Que te ferai-je, Éphraïm ? Que te ferai-je, Juda ? Votre piété est comme une nuée du matin, comme la rosée matinale qui passe.

KJV ⁴ O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

WLC ⁴ מָ֤ה אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־ לְּךָ֙ אֶפְרַ֔יִם מָ֥ה אֶעֱשֶׂה־ לְּךָ֖ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְחַסְדְּכֶם֙ כַּֽעֲנַן־ בֹּ֔קֶר וְכַטַּ֖ל מַשְׁכִּ֥ים הֹלֵֽךְ׃

BCC ⁵ C'est pourquoi je les ai taillés en pièces par les prophètes ; je tes ai tués par les paroles de ma bouche ; ton jugement, c'est la lumière qui se lèvera.

KJV ⁵ Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

WLC ⁵ עַל־ כֵּ֗ן חָצַ֙בְתִּי֙ בַּנְּבִיאִ֔ים הֲרַגְתִּ֖ים בְּאִמְרֵי־ פִ֑י וּמִשְׁפָּטֶ֖יךָ א֥וֹר יֵצֵֽא׃

BCC ⁶ Car je prends plaisir à la piété, et non au sacrifice : à la connaissance de Dieu, plus qu'aux holocaustes.

KJV ⁶ For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

WLC ⁶ כִּ֛י חֶ֥סֶד חָפַ֖צְתִּי וְלֹא־ זָ֑בַח וְדַ֥עַת אֱלֹהִ֖ים מֵעֹלֽוֹת׃

BCC ⁹ Comme des bandits en embuscade, ainsi une troupe de prêtres assassine, sur la route de Sichem ; car ils commettent la scélératesse.

KJV ⁹ And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.

WLC ⁹ וּכְחַכֵּ֨י אִ֜ישׁ גְּדוּדִ֗ים חֶ֚בֶר כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים דֶּ֖רֶךְ יְרַצְּחוּ־ שֶׁ֑כְמָה כִּ֥י זִמָּ֖ה עָשֽׂוּ׃

BCC ¹⁰ Dans la maison d'Israël j'ai vu des choses horribles ; c'est là qu'Éphraïm se prostitue, qu'Israël s'est souillé.

KJV ¹⁰ I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

WLC ¹⁰ בְּבֵית֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רָאִ֖יתִי שָׁ֚ם זְנ֣וּת לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם נִטְמָ֖א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

BCC ¹¹ Toi aussi, Juda, une moisson t'est destinée, quand je ramènerai la captivité de mon peuple.

KJV ¹¹ Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
