BCC ⁴ Mais à la fin elle est amère comme l'absinthe, aiguë comme un glaive à deux tranchants.

KJV ⁴ But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

WLC ⁴ וְֽ֭אַחֲרִיתָהּ מָרָ֣ה כַֽלַּעֲנָ֑ה חַ֝דָּ֗ה כְּחֶ֣רֶב פִּיּֽוֹת׃

BCC ⁵ Ses pieds descendent vers la mort, ses pas vont droit au schéol.

KJV ⁵ Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

WLC ⁵ רַ֭גְלֶיהָ יֹרְד֣וֹת מָ֑וֶת שְׁ֝א֗וֹל צְעָדֶ֥יהָ יִתְמֹֽכוּ׃

BCC ⁶ Elle ne considère pas le chemin de la vie, ses pas s'en vont incertains elle ne sait où.

KJV ⁹ Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

WLC ⁹ פֶּן־ תִּתֵּ֣ן לַאֲחֵרִ֣ים הוֹדֶ֑ךָ וּ֝שְׁנֹתֶ֗יךָ לְאַכְזָרִֽי׃

BCC ¹⁰ de peur que des étrangers ne se rassasient de tes biens, et que le fruit de ton travail ne passe dans la maison d'autrui ;

KJV ¹⁰ Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

WLC ¹⁰ פֶּֽן־ יִשְׂבְּע֣וּ זָרִ֣ים כֹּחֶ֑ךָ וַ֝עֲצָבֶ֗יךָ בְּבֵ֣ית נָכְרִֽי׃

BCC ¹¹ de peur que tu ne gémisses à la fin, quand ta chair et ton corps seront consumés,

KJV ¹¹ And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

KJV ¹² And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

KJV ¹⁶ Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

BCC ²⁰ Pourquoi, mon fils, t'éprendrais-tu d'une étrangère, et embrasserais-tu le sein d'une inconnue ?

KJV ²⁰ And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

WLC ²⁰ וְלָ֤מָּה תִשְׁגֶּ֣ה בְנִ֣י בְזָרָ֑ה וּ֝תְחַבֵּ֗ק חֵ֣ק נָכְרִיָּֽה׃

KJV ²¹ For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

KJV ²² His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

WLC ²² עַֽווֹנוֹתָ֗יו יִלְכְּדֻנ֥וֹ אֶת־ הָרָשָׁ֑ע וּבְחַבְלֵ֥י חַ֝טָּאת֗וֹ יִתָּמֵֽךְ׃

BCC ²³ Il mourra faute de correction, il sera trompé par l'excès de sa folie.

KJV ²³ He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

WLC ²³ ה֗וּא יָ֭מוּת בְּאֵ֣ין מוּסָ֑ר וּבְרֹ֖ב אִוַּלְתּ֣וֹ יִשְׁגֶּֽה׃
