KJV 2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
VULC 2 [Salvum me fac, Domine, quoniam defecit sanctus,
quoniam diminutæ sunt veritates a filiis hominum.
KJV 3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
VULC 3 Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum ;
labia dolosa, in corde et corde locuti sunt.
KJV 4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
VULC 4 Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa,
et linguam magniloquam.
KJV 5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
VULC 5 Qui dixerunt : Linguam nostram magnificabimus ;
labia nostra a nobis sunt.
Quis noster dominus est ?
KJV 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
VULC 6 Propter miseriam inopum, et gemitum pauperum,
nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus.
Ponam in salutari ;
fiducialiter agam in eo.
KJV 7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
VULC 7 Eloquia Domini, eloquia casta ; argentum igne examinatum,
probatum terræ, purgatum septuplum.
VULC 8 Tu, Domine, servabis nos,
et custodies nos a generatione hac in æternum.
