KJV 1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

VULC 1 Alleluja. [Laudate, pueri, Dominum ;
laudate nomen Domini.

KJV 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

VULC 2 Sit nomen Domini benedictum
ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.

KJV 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

VULC 3 A solis ortu usque ad occasum
laudabile nomen Domini.

KJV 4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

VULC 4 Excelsus super omnes gentes Dominus,
et super cælos gloria ejus.

KJV 5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

VULC 5 Quis sicut Dominus Deus noster, qui in altis habitat,

KJV 6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

VULC 6 et humilia respicit in cælo et in terra ?

KJV 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

VULC 7 Suscitans a terra inopem,
et de stercore erigens pauperem :

KJV 8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

VULC 8 ut collocet eum cum principibus,
cum principibus populi sui.

KJV 9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

VULC 9 Qui habitare facit sterilem in domo,
matrem filiorum lætantem.]

KJV 10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
