BAN ² Il l'a juré à l'Eternel,
Il en a fait voeu au Puissant de Jacob :

BAN ³ Non, je n'entrerai pas dans la tente où j'habite,
Je ne monterai pas sur le lit où je repose,

De repos à mes paupières,

Une demeure pour le Puissant de Jacob.

BAN ⁷ Nous irons à Sa demeure,
Nous nous prosternerons devant Son marchepied.

BAN ⁸ Lève-toi, Eternel ! viens à ton lieu de repos,
Toi et l'arche de ta force !

BAN ⁹ Tes sacrificateurs se revêtiront de justice,
Et tes fidèles pousseront des cris de joie.

Un homme né de toi.

J'ai préparé un flambeau pour mon Oint.

BAN ¹⁸ Je revêtirai ses ennemis de confusion,
Et sur lui fleurira son diadème.
