Béni soit l'Eternel, mon rocher, qui dispose mes mains au combat, et mes doigts à la bataille.

KJV ² My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

MAR ² Qui déploie sa bonté envers moi, [qui est] ma forteresse, ma haute retraite, mon libérateur, mon bouclier, et je me suis retiré vers lui ; il range mon peuple sous moi.

KJV ³ LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

MAR ³ Ô Eternel ! qu'est-ce que de l'homme, que tu aies soin de lui ? du fils de l'homme [mortel], que tu en tiennes compte ?

KJV ⁴ Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

MAR ⁴ L'homme est semblable à la vanité ; ses jours sont comme une ombre qui passe.

KJV ⁵ Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

MAR ⁵ Eternel abaisse tes cieux, et descends ; touche les montagnes, et qu'elles fument.

KJV ⁶ Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

MAR ⁶ Lance l'éclair, et les dissipe ; décoche tes flèches, et les mets en déroute.

KJV ⁷ Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

MAR ⁷ Etends tes mains d'en haut, sauve-moi, et me délivre des grosses eaux, de la main des enfants de l'étranger ;

KJV ⁸ Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

MAR ⁸ La bouche desquels profère mensonge ; et dont la droite est une droite trompeuse.

KJV ⁹ I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

MAR ⁹ Ô Dieu ! je chanterai un nouveau Cantique ; je te psalmodierai sur la musette, et avec l'instrument à dix cordes.

KJV ¹⁰ It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

MAR ¹⁰ C'est lui qui envoie la délivrance aux Rois, [et] qui délivre de l'épée dangereuse David son serviteur.

KJV ¹¹ Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

MAR ¹¹ Retire-moi et me délivre de la main des enfants de l'étranger ; dont la bouche profère mensonge, et dont la droite est une droite trompeuse.

KJV ¹² That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

MAR ¹² Afin que nos fils soient comme de jeunes plantes, croissant en leur jeunesse ; et nos filles, comme des pierres angulaires taillées pour l'ornement d'un palais.

KJV ¹³ That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

MAR ¹³ Que nos dépenses soient pleines, fournissant toute espèce de provision ; que nos troupeaux multiplient par milliers, même par dix milliers dans nos rues.

KJV ¹⁴ That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

MAR ¹⁴ Que nos boeufs soient chargés de graisse. Qu'il n'y ait ni brèche, ni sortie [dans nos murailles] ni cri dans nos places.

KJV ¹⁵ Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

MAR ¹⁵ Ô que bienheureux est le peuple auquel il en est ainsi ! ô que bienheureux est le peuple duquel l'Eternel est le Dieu !
