KJV 1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

VULC 1 Alleluja. [Cantate Domino canticum novum ;
laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.

KJV 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

VULC 2 Lætetur Israël in eo qui fecit eum,
et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.

KJV 3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

VULC 3 Laudent nomen ejus in choro ;
in tympano et psalterio psallant ei.

KJV 4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

VULC 4 Quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo,
et exaltabit mansuetos in salutem.

KJV 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

VULC 5 Exsultabunt sancti in gloria ;
lætabuntur in cubilibus suis.

KJV 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

VULC 6 Exaltationes Dei in gutture eorum,
et gladii ancipites in manibus eorum :

KJV 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

VULC 7 ad faciendam vindictam in nationibus,
increpationes in populis ;

KJV 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

VULC 8 ad alligandos reges eorum in compedibus,
et nobiles eorum in manicis ferreis ;

KJV 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

VULC 9 ut faciant in eis judicium conscriptum :
gloria hæc est omnibus sanctis ejus.
