Psaumes 21KJV 1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

KJV 2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
VULC 2 [Deus, Deus meus, respice in me : quare me dereliquisti ?
longe a salute mea verba delictorum meorum.
WLC 2 יְֽהוָ֗ה בְּעָזְּךָ֥ יִשְׂמַח־ מֶ֑לֶךְ וּ֝בִישׁ֥וּעָתְךָ֗ מַה־ מְאֹֽד׃
KJV 3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
VULC 3 Deus meus, clamabo per diem, et non exaudies ;
et nocte, et non ad insipientiam mihi.
WLC 3 תַּאֲוַ֣ת לִ֭בּוֹ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ וַאֲרֶ֥שֶׁת שְׂ֝פָתָ֗יו בַּל־ מָנַ֥עְתָּ סֶּֽלָה׃
KJV 4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
VULC 4 Tu autem in sancto habitas, laus Israël.
WLC 4 כִּֽי־ תְ֭קַדְּמֶנּוּ בִּרְכ֣וֹת ט֑וֹב תָּשִׁ֥ית לְ֝רֹאשׁ֗וֹ עֲטֶ֣רֶת פָּֽז׃
KJV 5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
VULC 5 In te speraverunt patres nostri ;
speraverunt, et liberasti eos.
WLC 5 חַיִּ֤ים ׀ שָׁאַ֣ל מִ֭מְּךָ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ אֹ֥רֶךְ יָ֝מִ֗ים עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃
KJV 6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
VULC 6 Ad te clamaverunt, et salvi facti sunt ;
in te speraverunt, et non sunt confusi.
WLC 6 גָּד֣וֹל כְּ֭בוֹדוֹ בִּישׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ ה֥וֹד וְ֝הָדָר תְּשַׁוֶּ֥ה עָלָֽיו׃
KJV 7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
VULC 7 Ego autem sum vermis, et non homo ;
opprobrium hominum, et abjectio plebis.
WLC 7 כִּֽי־ תְשִׁיתֵ֣הוּ בְרָכ֣וֹת לָעַ֑ד תְּחַדֵּ֥הוּ בְ֝שִׂמְחָ֗ה אֶת־ פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
KJV 8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
VULC 8 Omnes videntes me deriserunt me ;
locuti sunt labiis, et moverunt caput.
WLC 8 כִּֽי־ הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ בֹּטֵ֣חַ בַּיהוָ֑ה וּבְחֶ֥סֶד עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן בַּל־ יִמּֽוֹט׃
KJV 9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
VULC 9 Speravit in Domino, eripiat eum :
salvum faciat eum, quoniam vult eum.
WLC 9 תִּמְצָ֣א יָ֭דְךָ לְכָל־ אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ יְ֝מִֽינְךָ תִּמְצָ֥א שֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃
KJV 10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
VULC 10 Quoniam tu es qui extraxisti me de ventre,
spes mea ab uberibus matris meæ.
WLC 10 תְּשִׁיתֵ֤מוֹ ׀ כְּתַנּ֥וּר אֵשׁ֮ לְעֵ֪ת פָּ֫נֶ֥יךָ יְ֭הוָה בְּאַפּ֣וֹ יְבַלְּעֵ֑ם וְֽתֹאכְלֵ֥ם אֵֽשׁ׃
KJV 11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
VULC 11 In te projectus sum ex utero ;
de ventre matris meæ Deus meus es tu :
WLC 11 פִּ֭רְיָמוֹ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ תְּאַבֵּ֑ד וְ֝זַרְעָ֗ם מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃
KJV 12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
VULC 12 ne discesseris a me,
quoniam tribulatio proxima est,
quoniam non est qui adjuvet.
WLC 12 כִּי־ נָט֣וּ עָלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה חָֽשְׁב֥וּ מְ֝זִמָּ֗ה בַּל־ יוּכָֽלוּ׃
KJV 13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
VULC 13 Circumdederunt me vituli multi ;
tauri pingues obsederunt me.
WLC 13 כִּ֭י תְּשִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ שֶׁ֑כֶם בְּ֝מֵֽיתָרֶ֗יךָ תְּכוֹנֵ֥ן עַל־ פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃
VULC 14 Aperuerunt super me os suum,
sicut leo rapiens et rugiens.
WLC 14 ר֣וּמָה יְהוָ֣ה בְּעֻזֶּ֑ךָ נָשִׁ֥ירָה וּֽ֝נְזַמְּרָה גְּבוּרָתֶֽךָ׃
VULC 15 Sicut aqua effusus sum,
et dispersa sunt omnia ossa mea :
factum est cor meum tamquam cera liquescens in medio ventris mei.
VULC 16 Aruit tamquam testa virtus mea,
et lingua mea adhæsit faucibus meis :
et in pulverem mortis deduxisti me.
VULC 17 Quoniam circumdederunt me canes multi ;
concilium malignantium obsedit me.
Foderunt manus meas et pedes meos ;
VULC 18 dinumeraverunt omnia ossa mea.
Ipsi vero consideraverunt et inspexerunt me.
VULC 19 Diviserunt sibi vestimenta mea,
et super vestem meam miserunt sortem.
VULC 20 Tu autem, Domine, ne elongaveris auxilium tuum a me ;
ad defensionem meam conspice.
VULC 21 Erue a framea, Deus, animam meam,
et de manu canis unicam meam.
VULC 22 Salva me ex ore leonis,
et a cornibus unicornium humilitatem meam.
VULC 23 Narrabo nomen tuum fratribus meis ;
in medio ecclesiæ laudabo te.
VULC 24 Qui timetis Dominum, laudate eum ;
universum semen Jacob, glorificate eum.
VULC 25 Timeat eum omne semen Israël,
quoniam non sprevit, neque despexit deprecationem pauperis,
nec avertit faciem suam a me :
et cum clamarem ad eum, exaudivit me.
VULC 26 Apud te laus mea in ecclesia magna ;
vota mea reddam in conspectu timentium eum.
VULC 27 Edent pauperes, et saturabuntur,
et laudabunt Dominum qui requirunt eum :
vivent corda eorum in sæculum sæculi.
VULC 28 Reminiscentur et convertentur ad Dominum universi fines terræ ;
et adorabunt in conspectu ejus universæ familiæ gentium :
VULC 29 quoniam Domini est regnum,
et ipse dominabitur gentium.
VULC 30 Manducaverunt et adoraverunt omnes pingues terræ ;
in conspectu ejus cadent omnes qui descendunt in terram.
VULC 31 Et anima mea illi vivet ;
et semen meum serviet ipsi.
VULC 32 Annuntiabitur Domino generatio ventura ;
et annuntiabunt cæli justitiam ejus
populo qui nascetur, quem fecit Dominus.]
