KJV ¹ My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

WLC ¹ לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ עַל־ אַיֶּ֥לֶת הַשַּׁ֗חַר מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃

KJV ² O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

LSG ² (22:3) Mon Dieu ! je crie le jour, et tu ne réponds pas ; La nuit, et je n'ai point de repos.

WLC ² אֵלִ֣י אֵ֭לִי לָמָ֣ה עֲזַבְתָּ֑נִי רָח֥וֹק מִֽ֝ישׁוּעָתִ֗י דִּבְרֵ֥י שַׁאֲגָתִֽי׃

KJV ³ But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

LSG ³ (22:4) Pourtant tu es le Saint, Tu sièges au milieu des louanges d'Israël.

WLC ³ אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י אֶקְרָ֣א י֭וֹמָם וְלֹ֣א תַעֲנֶ֑ה וְ֝לַ֗יְלָה וְֽלֹא־ דֽוּמִיָּ֥ה לִֽי׃

KJV ⁴ Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

LSG ⁴ (22:5) En toi se confiaient nos pères ; Ils se confiaient, et tu les délivrais.

WLC ⁴ וְאַתָּ֥ה קָד֑וֹשׁ י֝וֹשֵׁ֗ב תְּהִלּ֥וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ⁵ They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

LSG ⁵ (22:6) Ils criaient à toi, et ils étaient sauvés ; Ils se confiaient en toi, et ils n'étaient point confus.

WLC ⁵ בְּ֭ךָ בָּטְח֣וּ אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ בָּ֝טְח֗וּ וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵֽמוֹ׃

KJV ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

LSG ⁶ (22:7) Et moi, je suis un ver et non un homme, L'opprobre des hommes et le méprisé du peuple.

WLC ⁶ אֵלֶ֣יךָ זָעֲק֣וּ וְנִמְלָ֑טוּ בְּךָ֖ בָטְח֣וּ וְלֹא־ בֽוֹשׁוּ׃

KJV ⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

LSG ⁷ (22:8) Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi, Ils ouvrent la bouche, secouent la tête:

WLC ⁷ וְאָנֹכִ֣י תוֹלַ֣עַת וְלֹא־ אִ֑ישׁ חֶרְפַּ֥ת אָ֝דָ֗ם וּבְז֥וּי עָֽם׃

KJV ⁸ He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

LSG ⁸ (22:9) Recommande-toi à l'Éternel ! L'Éternel le sauvera, Il le délivrera, puisqu'il l'aime ! -

WLC ⁸ כָּל־ רֹ֭אַי יַלְעִ֣גוּ לִ֑י יַפְטִ֥ירוּ בְ֝שָׂפָ֗ה יָנִ֥יעוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃

KJV ⁹ But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

LSG ⁹ (22:10) Oui, tu m'as fait sortir du sein maternel, Tu m'as mis en sûreté sur les mamelles de ma mère ;

WLC ⁹ גֹּ֣ל אֶל־ יְהוָ֣ה יְפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ יַ֝צִּילֵ֗הוּ כִּ֘י חָ֥פֵֽץ בּֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹⁰ I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

LSG ¹⁰ (22:11) Dès le sein maternel j'ai été sous ta garde, Dès le ventre de ma mère tu as été mon Dieu.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה גֹחִ֣י מִבָּ֑טֶן מַ֝בְטִיחִ֗י עַל־ שְׁדֵ֥י אִמִּֽי׃

KJV ¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

LSG ¹¹ (22:12) Ne t'éloigne pas de moi quand la détresse est proche, Quand personne ne vient à mon secours !

WLC ¹¹ עָ֭לֶיךָ הָשְׁלַ֣כְתִּי מֵרָ֑חֶם מִבֶּ֥טֶן אִ֝מִּ֗י אֵ֣לִי אָֽתָּה׃

KJV ¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

LSG ¹² (22:13) De nombreux taureaux sont autour de moi, Des taureaux de Basan m'environnent.

WLC ¹² אַל־ תִּרְחַ֣ק מִ֭מֶּנִּי כִּי־ צָרָ֣ה קְרוֹבָ֑ה כִּי־ אֵ֥ין עוֹזֵֽר׃

KJV ¹³ They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

LSG ¹³ (22:14) Ils ouvrent contre moi leur gueule, Semblables au lion qui déchire et rugit.

WLC ¹³ סְ֭בָבוּנִי פָּרִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים אַבִּירֵ֖י בָשָׁ֣ן כִּתְּרֽוּנִי׃

KJV ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

LSG ¹⁴ (22:15) Je suis comme de l'eau qui s'écoule, Et tous mes os se séparent ; Mon coeur est comme de la cire, Il se fond dans mes entrailles.

WLC ¹⁴ פָּצ֣וּ עָלַ֣י פִּיהֶ֑ם אַ֝רְיֵ֗ה טֹרֵ֥ף וְשֹׁאֵֽג׃

KJV ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

LSG ¹⁵ (22:16) Ma force se dessèche comme l'argile, Et ma langue s'attache à mon palais ; Tu me réduis à la poussière de la mort.

WLC ¹⁵ כַּמַּ֥יִם נִשְׁפַּכְתִּי֮ וְהִתְפָּֽרְד֗וּ כָּֽל־ עַצְמ֫וֹתָ֥י הָיָ֣ה לִ֭בִּי כַּדּוֹנָ֑ג נָ֝מֵ֗ס בְּת֣וֹךְ מֵעָֽי׃

KJV ¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

LSG ¹⁶ (22:17) Car des chiens m'environnent, Une bande de scélérats rôdent autour de moi, Ils ont percé mes mains et mes pieds.

WLC ¹⁶ יָ֘בֵ֤שׁ כַּחֶ֨רֶשׂ ׀ כֹּחִ֗י וּ֭לְשׁוֹנִי מֻדְבָּ֣ק מַלְקוֹחָ֑י וְֽלַעֲפַר־ מָ֥וֶת תִּשְׁפְּתֵֽנִי׃

KJV ¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

LSG ¹⁷ (22:18) Je pourrais compter tous mes os. Eux, ils observent, ils me regardent ;

WLC ¹⁷ כִּ֥י סְבָב֗וּנִי כְּלָ֫בִ֥ים עֲדַ֣ת מְ֭רֵעִים הִקִּיפ֑וּנִי כָּ֝אֲרִ֗י יָדַ֥י וְרַגְלָֽי׃

KJV ¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

LSG ¹⁸ (22:19) Ils se partagent mes vêtements, Ils tirent au sort ma tunique.

WLC ¹⁸ אֲסַפֵּ֥ר כָּל־ עַצְמוֹתָ֑י הֵ֥מָּה יַ֝בִּ֗יטוּ יִרְאוּ־ בִֽי׃

KJV ¹⁹ But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

LSG ¹⁹ (22:20) Et toi, Éternel, ne t'éloigne pas ! Toi qui es ma force, viens en hâte à mon secours !

WLC ¹⁹ יְחַלְּק֣וּ בְגָדַ֣י לָהֶ֑ם וְעַל־ לְ֝בוּשִׁ֗י יַפִּ֥ילוּ גוֹרָֽל׃

KJV ²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

LSG ²⁰ (22:21) Protège mon âme contre le glaive, Ma vie contre le pouvoir des chiens !

WLC ²⁰ וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אַל־ תִּרְחָ֑ק אֱ֝יָלוּתִ֗י לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי חֽוּשָׁה׃

KJV ²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

LSG ²¹ (22:22) Sauve-moi de la gueule du lion, Délivre-moi des cornes du buffle !

WLC ²¹ הַצִּ֣ילָה מֵחֶ֣רֶב נַפְשִׁ֑י מִיַּד־ כֶּ֝֗לֶב יְחִידָתִֽי׃

KJV ²² I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

LSG ²² (22:23) Je publierai ton nom parmi mes frères, Je te célébrerai au milieu de l'assemblée.

WLC ²² ה֭וֹשִׁיעֵנִי מִפִּ֣י אַרְיֵ֑ה וּמִקַּרְנֵ֖י רֵמִ֣ים עֲנִיתָֽנִי׃

KJV ²³ Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

LSG ²³ (22:24) Vous qui craignez l'Éternel, louez-le ! Vous tous, postérité de Jacob, glorifiez-le ! Tremblez devant lui, vous tous, postérité d'Israël !

WLC ²³ אֲסַפְּרָ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֣ לְאֶחָ֑י בְּת֖וֹךְ קָהָ֣ל אֲהַלְלֶֽךָּ׃

KJV ²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

LSG ²⁴ (22:25) Car il n'a ni mépris ni dédain pour les peines du misérable, Et il ne lui cache point sa face ; Mais il l'écoute quand il crie à lui.

WLC ²⁴ יִרְאֵ֤י יְהוָ֨ה ׀ הַֽלְל֗וּהוּ כָּל־ זֶ֣רַע יַעֲקֹ֣ב כַּבְּד֑וּהוּ וְג֥וּרוּ מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ כָּל־ זֶ֥רַע יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ²⁵ My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

LSG ²⁵ (22:26) Tu seras dans la grande assemblée l'objet de mes louanges ; J'accomplirai mes voeux en présence de ceux qui te craignent.

WLC ²⁵ כִּ֤י לֹֽא־ בָזָ֨ה וְלֹ֪א שִׁקַּ֡ץ עֱנ֬וּת עָנִ֗י וְלֹא־ הִסְתִּ֣יר פָּנָ֣יו מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וּֽבְשַׁוְּע֖וֹ אֵלָ֣יו שָׁמֵֽעַ׃

KJV ²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

LSG ²⁶ (22:27) Les malheureux mangeront et se rassasieront, Ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel le célébreront. Que votre coeur vive à toujours !

WLC ²⁶ מֵ֥אִתְּךָ֗ תְֽהִלָּ֫תִ֥י בְּקָהָ֥ל רָ֑ב נְדָרַ֥י אֲ֝שַׁלֵּ֗ם נֶ֣גֶד יְרֵאָֽיו׃

KJV ²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

LSG ²⁷ (22:28) Toutes les extrémités de la terre penseront à l'Éternel et se tourneront vers lui ; Toutes les familles des nations se prosterneront devant ta face.

WLC ²⁷ יֹאכְל֬וּ עֲנָוִ֨ים ׀ וְיִשְׂבָּ֗עוּ יְהַֽלְל֣וּ יְ֭הוָה דֹּ֣רְשָׁ֑יו יְחִ֖י לְבַבְכֶ֣ם לָעַֽד׃

KJV ²⁸ For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.

LSG ²⁸ (22:29) Car à l'Éternel appartient le règne: Il domine sur les nations.

WLC ²⁸ יִזְכְּר֤וּ ׀ וְיָשֻׁ֣בוּ אֶל־ יְ֭הוָה כָּל־ אַפְסֵי־ אָ֑רֶץ וְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לְ֝פָנֶ֗יךָ כָּֽל־ מִשְׁפְּח֥וֹת גּוֹיִֽם׃

KJV ²⁹ All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

LSG ²⁹ (22:30) Tous les puissants de la terre mangeront et se prosterneront aussi ; Devant lui s'inclineront tous ceux qui descendent dans la poussière, Ceux qui ne peuvent conserver leur vie.

WLC ²⁹ כִּ֣י לַ֭יהוָה הַמְּלוּכָ֑ה וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃

KJV ³⁰ A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

LSG ³⁰ (22:31) La postérité le servira ; On parlera du Seigneur à la génération future.

WLC ³⁰ אָכְל֬וּ וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֨וּ ׀ כָּֽל־ דִּשְׁנֵי־ אֶ֗רֶץ לְפָנָ֣יו יִ֭כְרְעוּ כָּל־ יוֹרְדֵ֣י עָפָ֑ר וְ֝נַפְשׁ֗וֹ לֹ֣א חִיָּֽה׃

KJV ³¹ They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

LSG ³¹ (22:32) Quand elle viendra, elle annoncera sa justice, Elle annoncera son oeuvre au peuple nouveau-né.

WLC ³¹ זֶ֥רַע יַֽעַבְדֶ֑נּוּ יְסֻפַּ֖ר לַֽאדֹנָ֣י לַדּֽוֹר׃

WLC ³² יָ֭בֹאוּ וְיַגִּ֣ידוּ צִדְקָת֑וֹ לְעַ֥ם נ֝וֹלָ֗ד כִּ֣י עָשָֽׂה׃
