KJV 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

VULC 1 Psalmus David. [Exsultate, justi, in Domino ;
rectos decet collaudatio.

KJV 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

VULC 2 Confitemini Domino in cithara ;
in psalterio decem chordarum psallite illi.

KJV 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

VULC 3 Cantate ei canticum novum ;
bene psallite ei in vociferatione.

KJV 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

VULC 4 Quia rectum est verbum Domini,
et omnia opera ejus in fide.

KJV 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

VULC 5 Diligit misericordiam et judicium ;
misericordia Domini plena est terra.

KJV 6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

VULC 6 Verbo Domini cæli firmati sunt,
et spiritu oris ejus omnis virtus eorum.

KJV 7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

VULC 7 Congregans sicut in utre aquas maris ;
ponens in thesauris abyssos.

KJV 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

VULC 8 Timeat Dominum omnis terra ;
ab eo autem commoveantur omnes inhabitantes orbem.

KJV 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

VULC 9 Quoniam ipse dixit, et facta sunt ;
ipse mandavit et creata sunt.

KJV 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

VULC 10 Dominus dissipat consilia gentium ;
reprobat autem cogitationes populorum,
et reprobat consilia principum.

KJV 11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

VULC 11 Consilium autem Domini in æternum manet ;
cogitationes cordis ejus in generatione et generationem.

VULC 12 Beata gens cujus est Dominus Deus ejus ;
populus quem elegit in hæreditatem sibi.

VULC 13 De cælo respexit Dominus ;
vidit omnes filios hominum.

VULC 14 De præparato habitaculo suo
respexit super omnes qui habitant terram :

VULC 15 qui finxit sigillatim corda eorum ;
qui intelligit omnia opera eorum.

VULC 16 Non salvatur rex per multam virtutem,
et gigas non salvabitur in multitudine virtutis suæ.

VULC 17 Fallax equus ad salutem ;
in abundantia autem virtutis suæ non salvabitur.

VULC 18 Ecce oculi Domini super metuentes eum,
et in eis qui sperant super misericordia ejus :

VULC 19 ut eruat a morte animas eorum,
et alat eos in fame.

VULC 20 Anima nostra sustinet Dominum,
quoniam adjutor et protector noster est.

VULC 21 Quia in eo lætabitur cor nostrum,
et in nomine sancto ejus speravimus.

VULC 22 Fiat misericordia tua, Domine, super nos,
quemadmodum speravimus in te.]
