KJV 1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

VULC 1 Davidi, cum immutavit vultum suum coram Achimelech, et dimisit eum, et abiit.

WLC 1 רַנְּנ֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה לַ֝יְשָׁרִ֗ים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃

KJV 2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

VULC 2 [Benedicam Dominum in omni tempore ;
semper laus ejus in ore meo.

WLC 2 הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה בְּכִנּ֑וֹר בְּנֵ֥בֶל עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר זַמְּרוּ־ לֽוֹ׃

KJV 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

VULC 3 In Domino laudabitur anima mea :
audiant mansueti, et lætentur.

WLC 3 שִֽׁירוּ־ ל֭וֹ שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ הֵיטִ֥יבוּ נַ֝גֵּ֗ן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃

KJV 4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

VULC 4 Magnificate Dominum mecum,
et exaltemus nomen ejus in idipsum.

WLC 4 כִּֽי־ יָשָׁ֥ר דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֑ה וְכָל־ מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗הוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃

KJV 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

VULC 5 Exquisivi Dominum, et exaudivit me ;
et ex omnibus tribulationibus meis eripuit me.

WLC 5 אֹ֭הֵב צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט חֶ֥סֶד יְ֝הוָ֗ה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJV 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

VULC 6 Accedite ad eum, et illuminamini ;
et facies vestræ non confundentur.

WLC 6 בִּדְבַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה שָׁמַ֣יִם נַעֲשׂ֑וּ וּבְר֥וּחַ פִּ֝֗יו כָּל־ צְבָאָֽם׃

KJV 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

VULC 7 Iste pauper clamavit, et Dominus exaudivit eum,
et de omnibus tribulationibus ejus salvavit eum.

WLC 7 כֹּנֵ֣ס כַּ֭נֵּד מֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם נֹתֵ֖ן בְּאֹצָר֣וֹת תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃

KJV 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

VULC 8 Immittet angelus Domini in circuitu timentium eum,
et eripiet eos.

WLC 8 יִֽירְא֣וּ מֵ֭יְהוָה כָּל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמֶּ֥נּוּ יָ֝ג֗וּרוּ כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃

KJV 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

VULC 9 Gustate et videte quoniam suavis est Dominus ;
beatus vir qui sperat in eo.

WLC 9 כִּ֤י ה֣וּא אָמַ֣ר וַיֶּ֑הִי הֽוּא־ צִ֝וָּ֗ה וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃

KJV 10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

VULC 10 Timete Dominum, omnes sancti ejus,
quoniam non est inopia timentibus eum.

WLC 10 יְֽהוָ֗ה הֵפִ֥יר עֲצַת־ גּוֹיִ֑ם הֵ֝נִ֗יא מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת עַמִּֽים׃

KJV 11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

VULC 11 Divites eguerunt, et esurierunt ;
inquirentes autem Dominum non minuentur omni bono.

WLC 11 עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תַּעֲמֹ֑ד מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת לִ֝בּ֗וֹ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃

KJV 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

timorem Domini docebo vos.

WLC 12 אַשְׁרֵ֣י הַ֭גּוֹי אֲשֶׁר־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו הָעָ֓ם ׀ בָּחַ֖ר לְנַחֲלָ֣ה לֽוֹ׃

KJV 13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

VULC 13 Quis est homo qui vult vitam ;
diligit dies videre bonos ?

WLC 13 מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִבִּ֣יט יְהוָ֑ה רָ֝אָ֗ה אֶֽת־ כָּל־ בְּנֵ֥י הָאָדָֽם׃

KJV 14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

VULC 14 Prohibe linguam tuam a malo,
et labia tua ne loquantur dolum.

WLC 14 מִֽמְּכוֹן־ שִׁבְתּ֥וֹ הִשְׁגִּ֑יחַ אֶ֖ל כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJV 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

VULC 15 Diverte a malo, et fac bonum ;
inquire pacem, et persequere eam.

WLC 15 הַיֹּצֵ֣ר יַ֣חַד לִבָּ֑ם הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין אֶל־ כָּל־ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃

KJV 16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

VULC 16 Oculi Domini super justos,
et aures ejus in preces eorum.

WLC 16 אֵֽין־ הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁ֣ע בְּרָב־ חָ֑יִל גִּ֝בּ֗וֹר לֹֽא־ יִנָּצֵ֥ל בְּרָב־ כֹּֽחַ׃

KJV 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

VULC 17 Vultus autem Domini super facientes mala,
ut perdat de terra memoriam eorum.

WLC 17 שֶׁ֣קֶר הַ֭סּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה וּבְרֹ֥ב חֵ֝יל֗וֹ לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּֽט׃

KJV 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

VULC 18 Clamaverunt justi, et Dominus exaudivit eos ;
et ex omnibus tribulationibus eorum liberavit eos.

WLC 18 הִנֵּ֤ה עֵ֣ין יְ֭הוָה אֶל־ יְרֵאָ֑יו לַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃

KJV 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

VULC 19 Juxta est Dominus iis qui tribulato sunt corde,
et humiles spiritu salvabit.

WLC 19 לְהַצִּ֣יל מִמָּ֣וֶת נַפְשָׁ֑ם וּ֝לְחַיּוֹתָ֗ם בָּרָעָֽב׃

KJV 20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

VULC 20 Multæ tribulationes justorum ;
et de omnibus his liberabit eos Dominus.

WLC 20 נַ֭פְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָ֣ה לַֽיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרֵ֖נוּ וּמָגִנֵּ֣נוּ הֽוּא׃

KJV 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

VULC 21 Custodit Dominus omnia ossa eorum :
unum ex his non conteretur.

WLC 21 כִּי־ ב֭וֹ יִשְׂמַ֣ח לִבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י בְשֵׁ֖ם קָדְשׁ֣וֹ בָטָֽחְנוּ׃

KJV 22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

VULC 22 Mors peccatorum pessima ;
et qui oderunt justum delinquent.

WLC 22 יְהִֽי־ חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר יִחַ֥לְנוּ לָֽךְ׃

VULC 23 Redimet Dominus animas servorum suorum,
et non delinquent omnes qui sperant in eo.]
