KJV ² For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

NEG ² Eternel! ne me punis pas dans ta colère,
Et ne me châtie pas dans ta fureur.

WLC ² יְֽהוָ֗ה אַל־ בְּקֶצְפְּךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃

KJV ³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

NEG ³ Car tes flèches m'ont atteint,
Et ta main s'est appesantie sur moi.

WLC ³ כִּֽי־ חִ֭צֶּיךָ נִ֣חֲתוּ בִ֑י וַתִּנְחַ֖ת עָלַ֣י יָדֶֽךָ׃

KJV ⁴ For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

NEG ⁴ Il n'y a rien de sain dans ma chair à cause de ta colère,
Il n'y a plus de vigueur dans mes os à cause de mon péché.

WLC ⁴ אֵין־ מְתֹ֣ם בִּ֭בְשָׂרִי מִפְּנֵ֣י זַעְמֶ֑ךָ אֵין־ שָׁל֥וֹם בַּ֝עֲצָמַ֗י מִפְּנֵ֥י חַטָּאתִֽי׃

KJV ⁵ My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

NEG ⁵ Car mes iniquités s'élèvent au-dessus de ma tête;
Comme un lourd fardeau, elles sont trop pesantes pour moi.

WLC ⁵ כִּ֣י עֲ֭וֺנֹתַי עָבְר֣וּ רֹאשִׁ֑י כְּמַשָּׂ֥א כָ֝בֵ֗ד יִכְבְּד֥וּ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃

KJV ⁶ I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

NEG ⁶ Mes plaies sont infectes et purulentes,
Par l'effet de ma folie.

WLC ⁶ הִבְאִ֣ישׁוּ נָ֭מַקּוּ חַבּוּרֹתָ֑י מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י אִוַּלְתִּֽי׃

KJV ⁷ For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

NEG ⁷ Je suis courbé, abattu au dernier point;
Tout le jour je marche dans la tristesse.

WLC ⁷ נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי שַׁחֹ֣תִי עַד־ מְאֹ֑ד כָּל־ הַ֝יּ֗וֹם קֹדֵ֥ר הִלָּֽכְתִּי׃

KJV ⁸ I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

NEG ⁸ Car un mal brûlant dévore mes entrailles,
Et il n'y a rien de sain dans ma chair.

WLC ⁸ כִּֽי־ כְ֭סָלַי מָלְא֣וּ נִקְלֶ֑ה וְאֵ֥ין מְ֝תֹ֗ם בִּבְשָׂרִֽי׃

KJV ⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

NEG ⁹ Je suis sans force, entièrement brisé;
Le trouble de mon cœur m'arrache des gémissements.

WLC ⁹ נְפוּג֣וֹתִי וְנִדְכֵּ֣יתִי עַד־ מְאֹ֑ד שָׁ֝אַ֗גְתִּי מִֽנַּהֲמַ֥ת לִבִּֽי׃

KJV ¹⁰ My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

NEG ¹⁰ Seigneur! tous mes désirs sont devant toi,
Et mes soupirs ne te sont point cachés.

KJV ¹¹ My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

NEG ¹¹ Mon cœur est agité, ma force m'abandonne,
Et la lumière de mes yeux n'est plus même avec moi.

KJV ¹² They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

KJV ¹³ But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

NEG ¹³ Ceux qui en veulent à ma vie tendent leurs pièges;
Ceux qui cherchent mon malheur disent des méchancetés,
Et méditent tout le jour des tromperies.

WLC ¹³ וַיְנַקְשׁ֤וּ ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י נַפְשִׁ֗י וְדֹרְשֵׁ֣י רָ֭עָתִי דִּבְּר֣וּ הַוּ֑וֹת וּ֝מִרְמ֗וֹת כָּל־ הַיּ֥וֹם יֶהְגּֽוּ׃

KJV ¹⁴ Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

NEG ¹⁴ Et moi, je suis comme un sourd, je n'entends pas;
Je suis comme un muet, qui n'ouvre pas la bouche.

WLC ¹⁴ וַאֲנִ֣י כְ֭חֵרֵשׁ לֹ֣א אֶשְׁמָ֑ע וּ֝כְאִלֵּ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־ פִּֽיו׃

KJV ¹⁵ For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

KJV ¹⁶ For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

NEG ¹⁶ Eternel! c'est en toi que j'espère;
Tu répondras, Seigneur, mon Dieu!

KJV ¹⁷ For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

KJV ¹⁸ For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

Et ma douleur est toujours devant moi.

WLC ¹⁸ כִּֽי־ אֲ֭נִי לְצֶ֣לַע נָכ֑וֹן וּמַכְאוֹבִ֖י נֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִֽיד׃

KJV ¹⁹ But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

Je suis dans la crainte à cause de mon péché.

WLC ¹⁹ כִּֽי־ עֲוֺנִ֥י אַגִּ֑יד אֶ֝דְאַ֗ג מֵֽחַטָּאתִֽי׃

KJV ²⁰ They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

NEG ²⁰ Et mes ennemis sont pleins de vie, pleins de force;
Ceux qui me haïssent sans cause sont nombreux.

WLC ²⁰ וְֽ֭אֹיְבַי חַיִּ֣ים עָצֵ֑מוּ וְרַבּ֖וּ שֹׂנְאַ֣י שָֽׁקֶר׃

KJV ²¹ Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

NEG ²¹ Ils me rendent le mal pour le bien;
Ils sont mes adversaires, parce que je recherche le bien.

WLC ²¹ וּמְשַׁלְּמֵ֣י רָ֭עָה תַּ֣חַת טוֹבָ֑ה יִ֝שְׂטְנ֗וּנִי תַּ֣חַת טֽוֹב׃

KJV ²² Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

NEG ²² Ne m'abandonne pas, Eternel!
Mon Dieu, ne t'éloigne pas de moi!

WLC ²² אַל־ תַּֽעַזְבֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אַל־ תִּרְחַ֥ק מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
