KJV 1 O lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

WLC 1 מִזְמ֖וֹר לְדָוִ֣ד לְהַזְכִּֽיר׃

KJV 2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

VULC 2 [Dixi : Custodiam vias meas :
ut non delinquam in lingua mea.
Posui ori meo custodiam,
cum consisteret peccator adversum me.

WLC 2 יְֽהוָ֗ה אַל־ בְּקֶצְפְּךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃

KJV 3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

VULC 3 Obmutui, et humiliatus sum, et silui a bonis ;
et dolor meus renovatus est.

WLC 3 כִּֽי־ חִ֭צֶּיךָ נִ֣חֲתוּ בִ֑י וַתִּנְחַ֖ת עָלַ֣י יָדֶֽךָ׃

KJV 4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

VULC 4 Concaluit cor meum intra me ;
et in meditatione mea exardescet ignis.

WLC 4 אֵין־ מְתֹ֣ם בִּ֭בְשָׂרִי מִפְּנֵ֣י זַעְמֶ֑ךָ אֵין־ שָׁל֥וֹם בַּ֝עֲצָמַ֗י מִפְּנֵ֥י חַטָּאתִֽי׃

KJV 5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

VULC 5 Locutus sum in lingua mea :
Notum fac mihi, Domine, finem meum,
et numerum dierum meorum quis est,
ut sciam quid desit mihi.

WLC 5 כִּ֣י עֲ֭וֺנֹתַי עָבְר֣וּ רֹאשִׁ֑י כְּמַשָּׂ֥א כָ֝בֵ֗ד יִכְבְּד֥וּ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃

KJV 6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

VULC 6 Ecce mensurabiles posuisti dies meos,
et substantia mea tamquam nihilum ante te.
Verumtamen universa vanitas, omnis homo vivens.

WLC 6 הִבְאִ֣ישׁוּ נָ֭מַקּוּ חַבּוּרֹתָ֑י מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י אִוַּלְתִּֽי׃

KJV 7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

VULC 7 Verumtamen in imagine pertransit homo ;
sed et frustra conturbatur :
thesaurizat, et ignorat cui congregabit ea.

WLC 7 נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי שַׁחֹ֣תִי עַד־ מְאֹ֑ד כָּל־ הַ֝יּ֗וֹם קֹדֵ֥ר הִלָּֽכְתִּי׃

KJV 8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

VULC 8 Et nunc quæ est exspectatio mea : nonne Dominus ?
et substantia mea apud te est.

WLC 8 כִּֽי־ כְ֭סָלַי מָלְא֣וּ נִקְלֶ֑ה וְאֵ֥ין מְ֝תֹ֗ם בִּבְשָׂרִֽי׃

KJV 9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

VULC 9 Ab omnibus iniquitatibus meis erue me :
opprobrium insipienti dedisti me.

WLC 9 נְפוּג֣וֹתִי וְנִדְכֵּ֣יתִי עַד־ מְאֹ֑ד שָׁ֝אַ֗גְתִּי מִֽנַּהֲמַ֥ת לִבִּֽי׃

KJV 10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

VULC 10 Obmutui, et non aperui os meum,
quoniam tu fecisti ;

WLC 10 אֲ‍ֽדֹנָי נֶגְדְּךָ֥ כָל־ תַּאֲוָתִ֑י וְ֝אַנְחָתִ֗י מִמְּךָ֥ לֹא־ נִסְתָּֽרָה׃

KJV 11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

WLC 11 לִבִּ֣י סְ֭חַרְחַר עֲזָבַ֣נִי כֹחִ֑י וְֽאוֹר־ עֵינַ֥י גַּם־ הֵ֝֗ם אֵ֣ין אִתִּֽי׃

KJV 12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

propter iniquitatem corripuisti hominem.
Et tabescere fecisti sicut araneam animam ejus :
verumtamen vane conturbatur omnis homo.

WLC 12 אֹֽהֲבַ֨י ׀ וְרֵעַ֗י מִנֶּ֣גֶד נִגְעִ֣י יַעֲמֹ֑דוּ וּ֝קְרוֹבַ֗י מֵרָחֹ֥ק עָמָֽדוּ׃

KJV 13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

VULC 13 Exaudi orationem meam, Domine, et deprecationem meam ;
auribus percipe lacrimas meas.
Ne sileas, quoniam advena ego sum apud te,
et peregrinus sicut omnes patres mei.

WLC 13 וַיְנַקְשׁ֤וּ ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י נַפְשִׁ֗י וְדֹרְשֵׁ֣י רָ֭עָתִי דִּבְּר֣וּ הַוּ֑וֹת וּ֝מִרְמ֗וֹת כָּל־ הַיּ֥וֹם יֶהְגּֽוּ׃

KJV 14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

VULC 14 Remitte mihi, ut refrigerer
priusquam abeam et amplius non ero.]

WLC 14 וַאֲנִ֣י כְ֭חֵרֵשׁ לֹ֣א אֶשְׁמָ֑ע וּ֝כְאִלֵּ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־ פִּֽיו׃

KJV 15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

WLC 15 וָאֱהִ֗י כְּ֭אִישׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־ שֹׁמֵ֑עַ וְאֵ֥ין בְּ֝פִ֗יו תּוֹכָחֽוֹת׃

KJV 16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

WLC 16 כִּֽי־ לְךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה הוֹחָ֑לְתִּי אַתָּ֥ה תַ֝עֲנֶ֗ה אֲדֹנָ֥י אֱלֹהָֽי׃

KJV 17 For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

WLC 17 כִּֽי־ אָ֭מַרְתִּי פֶּן־ יִשְׂמְחוּ־ לִ֑י בְּמ֥וֹט רַ֝גְלִ֗י עָלַ֥י הִגְדִּֽילוּ׃

KJV 18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

WLC 18 כִּֽי־ אֲ֭נִי לְצֶ֣לַע נָכ֑וֹן וּמַכְאוֹבִ֖י נֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִֽיד׃

KJV 19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

WLC 19 כִּֽי־ עֲוֺנִ֥י אַגִּ֑יד אֶ֝דְאַ֗ג מֵֽחַטָּאתִֽי׃

KJV 20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

WLC 20 וְֽ֭אֹיְבַי חַיִּ֣ים עָצֵ֑מוּ וְרַבּ֖וּ שֹׂנְאַ֣י שָֽׁקֶר׃

KJV 21 Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

WLC 21 וּמְשַׁלְּמֵ֣י רָ֭עָה תַּ֣חַת טוֹבָ֑ה יִ֝שְׂטְנ֗וּנִי תַּ֣חַת טֽוֹב׃

KJV 22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

WLC 22 אַל־ תַּֽעַזְבֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אַל־ תִּרְחַ֥ק מִמֶּֽנִּי׃

WLC 23 ח֥וּשָׁה לְעֶזְרָתִ֑י אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י תְּשׁוּעָתִֽי׃
