signe de ta grandeur et de ta majesté,

KJV ⁵ Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

Sois vainqueur, monte sur ton char,
défends la vérité, la douceur et la justice,
et que ta main droite se signale par de merveilleux exploits!

KJV ⁶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

des peuples tomberont sous toi;
elles frapperont au cœur les ennemis du roi.

Le sceptre de ton règne est un sceptre de justice.

KJV ⁸ All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a désigné par onction comme roi,
de préférence à tes compagnons, avec une huile de joie.

la reine est à ta droite, parée d'un or venu d'Ophir.

KJV ¹¹ So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

oublie ton peuple et la maison de ton père.

KJV ¹² And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

S21 ¹² Le roi porte ses désirs sur ta beauté.
Puisqu'il est ton seigneur, prosterne-toi devant lui!

KJV ¹³ The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

S21 ¹³ Avec des offrandes, les habitants de Tyr
et les plus riches du peuple rechercheront ta faveur.

KJV ¹⁴ She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

S21 ¹⁴ La fille du roi est toute resplendissante à l'intérieur du palais,
elle porte un vêtement tissé d'or.

KJV ¹⁵ With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

S21 ¹⁵ Elle est présentée au roi, revêtue de ses habits brodés;
à sa suite, des jeunes filles, ses compagnes, sont amenées auprès de toi.

KJV ¹⁶ Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

S21 ¹⁶ On les introduit au milieu des réjouissances et de l'allégresse,
elles entrent dans le palais du roi.

KJV ¹⁷ I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

S21 ¹⁷ Tes enfants prendront la place de tes pères,
tu les établiras princes dans tout le pays.

S21 ¹⁸ Je rappellerai ton nom de génération en génération;
c'est pourquoi les peuples te loueront pour toujours et à perpétuité.
