KJV ² For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

BCC ³ Car Yahweh est très haut, redoutable, grand roi sur toute la terre.

KJV ³ He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

BCC ⁴ Il nous assujettit les peuples, il met les nations sous nos pieds.

KJV ⁴ He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

BCC ⁵ Il nous choisit notre héritage, la gloire de Jacob, son bien-aimé. ‒ Séla.

KJV ⁵ God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

KJV ¹ Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

BCC ² Yahweh est grand, il est l'objet de toute louange, dans la cité de notre Dieu, sur sa montagne sainte.

KJV ² Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

BCC ³ Elle s'élève gracieuse, joie de toute la terre, la montagne de Sion, aux extrémités du septentrion, la cité du grand Roi.

KJV ³ God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

BCC ⁴ Dieu, dans ses palais, s'est fait connaître comme un refuge.

KJV ⁴ For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

BCC ⁵ Car voici que les rois s'étaient réunis, ensemble ils s'étaient avancés.

KJV ⁵ They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

KJV ⁷ Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

BCC ⁸ Par le vent d'Orient tu brises les vaisseaux de Tharsis.

KJV ⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

BCC ⁹ Ce que nous avions entendu dire, nous l'avons vu dans la cité de Yahweh des armées ; dans la cité de notre Dieu : Dieu l'affermit pour toujours.

KJV ⁹ We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

BCC ¹⁰ O Dieu nous rappelons la mémoire de ta bonté, au milieu de ton temple.

KJV ¹⁰ According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

BCC ¹¹ Comme ton nom, ô Dieu, ainsi ta louange arrive jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre. Ta droite est pleine de justice.

KJV ¹¹ Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

BCC ¹² Que la montagne de Sion se réjouisse, que les filles de Juda soient dans l'allégresse, à cause de tes jugements !

BCC ² Écoutez tous ceci, ô peuples ; prêtez l'oreille vous tous habitants du monde,

KJV ² Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

BCC ³ hommes du commun et hommes de condition, ensemble riches et pauvres.

KJV ³ My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

BCC ⁴ Ma bouche va faire entendre des paroles sages, et mon coeur a des pensées pleines de sens.

KJV ⁴ I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

BCC ⁵ Je prête l'oreille aux sentences que Dieu m'inspire ; j'explique mon énigme au son de la harpe.

KJV ⁵ Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

BCC ⁶ Pourquoi craindrais-je aux jours du malheur, lorsque l'iniquité de mes persécuteurs m'assiège ?

KJV ⁶ They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

BCC ⁷ Eux qui mettent leur confiance dans leurs biens, leur gloire dans leurs grandes richesses !

KJV ⁷ None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

BCC ⁸ Un homme ne peut racheter son frère, ni payer à Dieu sa rançon.

KJV ⁸ (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

BCC ⁹ Le rachat de leur vie est trop cher ; il est à jamais impossible,

KJV ⁹ That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

BCC ¹⁰ pour qu'il vive éternellement, et qu'il ne voie jamais la fosse.

KJV ¹⁰ For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

BCC ¹¹ Non, il la verra ; les sages meurent ; l'insensé et le stupide périssent également, laissant à d'autres leurs biens.

KJV ¹¹ Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

BCC ¹² Ils s'imaginent que leurs maisons seront éternelles ; que leurs demeures subsisteront d'âge en âge, et ils donnent leurs noms à leurs domaines.

KJV ¹² Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

BCC ¹³ Mais, même dans sa splendeur, l'homme ne dure pas ; il est semblable aux biches qui périssent.

KJV ¹³ This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

KJV ¹⁴ Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

BCC ¹⁵ Comme un troupeau, ils sont poussés dans le schéol, la mort est leur pasteur ; le matin, les hommes droits dominent sur eux, et leur ombre se consumera au schéol, sans autre demeure.

KJV ¹⁹ He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.

BCC ²⁰ Tu iras rejoindre la génération de tes pères, qui jamais ne reverront la lumière.

KJV ²⁰ Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
