KJV ⁵ Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

S21 ⁵ car je reconnais mes transgressions
et mon péché est constamment devant moi.

WLC ⁵ כִּֽי־ פְ֭שָׁעַי אֲנִ֣י אֵדָ֑ע וְחַטָּאתִ֖י נֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִֽיד׃

KJV ⁶ Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

S21 ⁶ J'ai péché contre toi, contre toi seul,
j'ai fait ce qui est mal à tes yeux.
*C'est pourquoi tu es juste dans tes paroles,
sans reproche dans ton jugement. 

WLC ⁶ לְךָ֤ לְבַדְּךָ֨ ׀ חָטָאתִי֮ וְהָרַ֥ע בְּעֵינֶ֗יךָ עָ֫שִׂ֥יתִי לְ֭מַעַן תִּצְדַּ֥ק בְּדָבְרֶ֗ךָ תִּזְכֶּ֥ה בְשָׁפְטֶֽךָ׃

KJV ⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

S21 ⁷ Oui, depuis ma naissance, je suis coupable;
quand ma mère m'a conçu, j'étais déjà marqué par le péché.

WLC ⁷ הֵן־ בְּעָו֥וֹן חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי וּ֝בְחֵ֗טְא יֶֽחֱמַ֥תְנִי אִמִּֽי׃

KJV ⁸ Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

S21 ⁸ Mais tu veux que la vérité soit au fond du cœur:
fais-moi connaître la sagesse dans le secret de mon être!

WLC ⁸ הֵן־ אֱ֭מֶת חָפַ֣צְתָּ בַטֻּח֑וֹת וּ֝בְסָתֻ֗ם חָכְמָ֥ה תוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃

KJV ⁹ Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

S21 ⁹ Purifie-moi avec l'hysope, et je serai pur,
lave-moi, et je serai plus blanc que la neige!

WLC ⁹ תְּחַטְּאֵ֣נִי בְאֵז֣וֹב וְאֶטְהָ֑ר תְּ֝כַבְּסֵ֗נִי וּמִשֶּׁ֥לֶג אַלְבִּֽין׃

KJV ¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

S21 ¹⁰ Fais-moi entendre des chants d'allégresse et de joie,
et les os que tu as brisés se réjouiront.

WLC ¹⁰ תַּ֭שְׁמִיעֵנִי שָׂשׂ֣וֹן וְשִׂמְחָ֑ה תָּ֝גֵ֗לְנָה עֲצָמ֥וֹת דִּכִּֽיתָ׃

KJV ¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

S21 ¹¹ Détourne ton regard de mes péchés,
efface toutes mes fautes!

WLC ¹¹ הַסְתֵּ֣ר פָּ֭נֶיךָ מֵחֲטָאָ֑י וְֽכָל־ עֲוֺ֖נֹתַ֣י מְחֵֽה׃

KJV ¹² Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

S21 ¹² O Dieu, crée en moi un cœur pur,
renouvelle en moi un esprit bien disposé!
