VULC ² [Nonne Deo subjecta erit anima mea ?
ab ipso enim salutare meum.

KJV ³ For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

VULC ³ Nam et ipse Deus meus et salutaris meus ;
susceptor meus, non movebor amplius.

KJV ⁴ I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

VULC ⁴ Quousque irruitis in hominem ?
interficitis universi vos,
tamquam parieti inclinato et maceriæ depulsæ.

KJV ⁵ For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

VULC ⁵ Verumtamen pretium meum cogitaverunt repellere ;
cucurri in siti :
ore suo benedicebant,
et corde suo maledicebant.

KJV ⁶ Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
