KJV 1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

VULC 1 Psalmus David, cum esset in deserto Idumææ.

KJV 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

VULC 2 [Deus, Deus meus, ad te de luce vigilo.
Sitivit in te anima mea ; quam multipliciter tibi caro mea !

KJV 3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

VULC 3 In terra deserta, et invia, et inaquosa,
sic in sancto apparui tibi,
ut viderem virtutem tuam et gloriam tuam.

KJV 4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

VULC 4 Quoniam melior est misericordia tua super vitas,
labia mea laudabunt te.

KJV 5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

VULC 5 Sic benedicam te in vita mea,
et in nomine tuo levabo manus meas.

VULC 6 Sicut adipe et pinguedine repleatur anima mea,
et labiis exsultationis laudabit os meum.

KJV 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

VULC 7 Si memor fui tui super stratum meum,
in matutinis meditabor in te.

KJV 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

VULC 8 Quia fuisti adjutor meus,
et in velamento alarum tuarum exsultabo.

KJV 9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

VULC 9 Adhæsit anima mea post te ;
me suscepit dextera tua.

KJV 10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

VULC 10 Ipsi vero in vanum quæsierunt animam meam :
introibunt in inferiora terræ ;

KJV 11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

VULC 11 tradentur in manus gladii :
partes vulpium erunt.

KJV 12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

VULC 12 Rex vero lætabitur in Deo ;
laudabuntur omnes qui jurant in eo :
quia obstructum est os loquentium iniqua.]
