¹ Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
² When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
³ The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
⁴ I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
⁵ Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
⁶ For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
⁷ But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
⁸ For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
⁹ But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
¹⁰ All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

² Nous te louons, ô Dieu! nous te louons;Ton nom est dans nos bouches;Nous publions tes merveilles.
³ Au temps que j'aurai fixé,Je jugerai avec droiture.
⁴ La terre tremble avec tous ceux qui l'habitent:Moi, j'affermis ses colonnes. - Pause.
⁵ Je dis à ceux qui se glorifient: Ne vous glorifiez pas!Et aux méchants: N'élevez pas la tête!
⁶ N'élevez pas si haut votre tête,Ne parlez pas avec tant d'arrogance!
⁷ Car ce n'est ni de l'orient, ni de l'occident,Ni du désert, que vient l'élévation.
⁸ Mais Dieu est celui qui juge:Il abaisse l'un, et il élève l'autre.
⁹ Il y a dans la main de l'Eternel une coupe,Où fermente un vin plein de mélange,Et il en verse:Tous les méchants de la terre sucent, boivent jusqu'à la lie.

² Nous te louons, ô Dieu, nous te louons. Ton nom est dans nos bouches, nous proclamons tes merveilles.
³ Au moment que j'aurai fixé, je jugerai avec droiture.
⁴ La terre tremble avec tous ceux qui l'habitent, mais moi, j'affermis ses piliers.       – Pause.
⁵ Je dis à ceux qui se vantent: «Ne vous vantez pas!» et aux méchants: «Ne levez pas la tête!»
⁶ Ne levez pas si haut votre tête, ne parlez pas avec tant d'arrogance,
⁷ car ce n'est ni de l'est, ni de l'ouest, ni du désert que vient la grandeur.
⁸ En effet, c'est Dieu qui juge: il abaisse l'un et il élève l'autre.
⁹ Il y a dans la main de l'Eternel une coupe où fermente un vin plein de liqueurs mêlées. Il en verse, et tous les méchants de la terre boivent, ils vident la coupe jusqu'à la lie.
¹⁰ Quant à moi, je ne cesserai d'annoncer cela, je chanterai en l'honneur du Dieu de Jacob.
¹¹ J'abattrai toutes les forces des méchants, mais les forces du juste seront relevées.
