WLC ¹ שִׁ֖יר מִזְמ֣וֹר לְאָסָֽף׃

BAN ² O Dieu ! ne demeure pas dans le silence ;
Ne sois pas muet, ne reste pas en repos, ô Dieu fort !

KJV ² For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

VULC ² [Quam dilecta tabernacula tua, Domine virtutum !

WLC ² אֱלֹהִ֥ים אַל־ דֳּמִי־ לָ֑ךְ אַל־ תֶּחֱרַ֖שׁ וְאַל־ תִּשְׁקֹ֣ט אֵֽל׃

BAN ³ Car voici, tes ennemis s'agitent,
Et ceux qui te haïssent lèvent la tête.

KJV ³ They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

VULC ³ Concupiscit, et deficit anima mea in atria Domini ;
cor meum et caro mea exsultaverunt in Deum vivum.

WLC ³ כִּֽי־ הִנֵּ֣ה א֭וֹיְבֶיךָ יֶהֱמָי֑וּן וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֶ֗יךָ נָ֣שְׂאוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃

BAN ⁴ Ils trament contre ton peuple de perfides complots
Et se concertent contre ceux que tu protèges.

KJV ⁴ They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

VULC ⁴ Etenim passer invenit sibi domum,
et turtur nidum sibi, ubi ponat pullos suos :
altaria tua, Domine virtutum,
rex meus, et Deus meus.

WLC ⁴ עַֽל־ עַ֭מְּךָ יַעֲרִ֣ימוּ ס֑וֹד וְ֝יִתְיָעֲצ֗וּ עַל־ צְפוּנֶֽיךָ׃

BAN ⁵ Venez, disent-ils, faisons-les disparaître d'entre les nations,
Et que l'on ne se souvienne plus du nom d'Israël !

KJV ⁵ For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

VULC ⁵ Beati qui habitant in domo tua, Domine ;
in sæcula sæculorum laudabunt te.

WLC ⁵ אָמְר֗וּ לְ֭כוּ וְנַכְחִידֵ֣ם מִגּ֑וֹי וְלֹֽא־ יִזָּכֵ֖ר שֵֽׁם־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עֽוֹד׃

BAN ⁶ Car ils ont conspiré d'un même coeur,
Ils forment une alliance contre toi :

BAN ⁷ Les tentes d'Edom et les Ismaélites,
Moab et les Hagaréniens,

KJV ⁷ Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

BAN ⁸ Guébal, Ammon et Amalek,
Les Philistins avec les habitants de Tyr ;

KJV ⁸ Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

ibunt de virtute in virtutem :
videbitur Deus deorum in Sion.

Comme Sisera, comme Jabin, au torrent de Kison ;

Et tous leurs princes à Zébach et à Tsalmunna,

BAN ¹⁴ Mon Dieu ! rends-les semblables au tourbillon,
Au chaume emporté par le vent !

WLC ¹⁴ אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י שִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ כַגַּלְגַּ֑ל כְּ֝קַ֗שׁ לִפְנֵי־ רֽוּחַ׃

BAN ¹⁵ Comme le feu dévore la forêt,
Comme la flamme embrase les montagnes,

KJV ¹⁵ So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

BAN ¹⁶ Ainsi, poursuis-les de ta tempête,
Epouvante-les par ton ouragan.

KJV ¹⁶ Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

BAN ¹⁷ Couvre leur face d'ignominie,
Et qu'ils cherchent ton nom, ô Eternel !

KJV ¹⁷ Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

WLC ¹⁷ מַלֵּ֣א פְנֵיהֶ֣ם קָל֑וֹן וִֽיבַקְשׁ֖וּ שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁸ Qu'ils rougissent, qu'ils soient consternés à jamais,
Qu'ils soient couverts de honte et qu'ils périssent !

KJV ¹⁸ That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

WLC ¹⁸ יֵבֹ֖שׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲל֥וּ עֲדֵי־ עַ֗ד וְֽיַחְפְּר֥וּ וְיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃

BAN ¹⁹ Et qu'ils sachent que toi, que ton nom, ô Eternel, que toi seul,
Tu es le Très-Haut sur toute la terre !
