KJV ² Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

MAR ² Eternel ! Dieu de ma délivrance, je crie jour et nuit devant toi.

WLC ² יְ֭הוָה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יְשׁוּעָתִ֑י יוֹם־ צָעַ֖קְתִּי בַלַּ֣יְלָה נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃

KJV ³ For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

MAR ³ Que ma prière vienne en ta présence ; ouvre ton oreille à mon cri.

WLC ³ תָּב֣וֹא לְ֭פָנֶיךָ תְּפִלָּתִ֑י הַטֵּֽה־ אָ֝זְנְךָ֗ לְרִנָּתִֽי׃

KJV ⁴ I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

MAR ⁴ Car mon âme a tout son saoul de maux, et ma vie est venue jusqu'au sépulcre.

WLC ⁴ כִּֽי־ שָֽׂבְעָ֣ה בְרָע֣וֹת נַפְשִׁ֑י וְחַיַּ֗י לִשְׁא֥וֹל הִגִּֽיעוּ׃

KJV ⁵ Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

MAR ⁵ On m'a mis au rang de ceux qui descendent en la fosse ; je suis devenu comme un homme qui n'a plus de vigueur ;

WLC ⁵ נֶ֭חְשַׁבְתִּי עִם־ י֣וֹרְדֵי ב֑וֹר הָ֝יִ֗יתִי כְּגֶ֣בֶר אֵֽין־ אֱיָֽל׃

KJV ⁶ Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

MAR ⁶ Placé parmi les morts, comme les blessés à mort couchés au sépulcre, desquels il ne te souvient plus, et qui sont retranchés par ta main.

WLC ⁶ בַּמֵּתִ֗ים חָ֫פְשִׁ֥י כְּמ֤וֹ חֲלָלִ֨ים ׀ שֹׁ֥כְבֵי קֶ֗בֶר אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹ֣א זְכַרְתָּ֣ם ע֑וֹד וְ֝הֵ֗מָּה מִיָּדְךָ֥ נִגְזָֽרוּ׃

KJV ⁷ Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

MAR ⁷ Tu m'as mis en une fosse des plus basses, dans des lieux ténébreux, dans des lieux profonds.

WLC ⁷ שַׁ֭תַּנִי בְּב֣וֹר תַּחְתִּיּ֑וֹת בְּ֝מַחֲשַׁכִּ֗ים בִּמְצֹלֽוֹת׃

KJV ⁸ Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

MAR ⁸ Ta fureur s'est jetée sur moi, et tu m'as accablé de tous tes flots ; Sélah.

WLC ⁸ עָ֭לַי סָמְכָ֣ה חֲמָתֶ֑ךָ וְכָל־ מִ֝שְׁבָּרֶ֗יךָ עִנִּ֥יתָ סֶּֽלָה׃

KJV ⁹ Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

MAR ⁹ Tu as éloigné de moi ceux de qui j'étais connu, tu m'as mis en une extrême abomination devant eux ; je suis enfermé tellement, que je ne puis sortir.

WLC ⁹ הִרְחַ֥קְתָּ מְיֻדָּעַ֗י מִ֫מֶּ֥נִּי שַׁתַּ֣נִי תוֹעֵב֣וֹת לָ֑מוֹ כָּ֝לֻ֗א וְלֹ֣א אֵצֵֽא׃

KJV ¹⁰ Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.

MAR ¹⁰ Mon oeil languit d'affliction ; Eternel ! je crie à toi tout le jour, j'étends mes mains vers toi.

WLC ¹⁰ עֵינִ֥י דָאֲבָ֗ה מִנִּ֫י עֹ֥נִי קְרָאתִ֣יךָ יְהוָ֣ה בְּכָל־ י֑וֹם שִׁטַּ֖חְתִּי אֵלֶ֣יךָ כַפָּֽי׃

KJV ¹¹ Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?

MAR ¹¹ Feras-tu un miracle envers les morts ? ou les trépassés se relèveront-ils pour te célébrer ? Sélah.

WLC ¹¹ הֲלַמֵּתִ֥ים תַּעֲשֶׂה־ פֶּ֑לֶא אִם־ רְ֝פָאִ֗ים יָק֤וּמוּ ׀ יוֹד֬וּךָ סֶּֽלָה׃

KJV ¹² Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

MAR ¹² Racontera-t-on ta miséricorde dans le sépulcre ? [et] ta fidélité dans le tombeau ?

WLC ¹² הַיְסֻפַּ֣ר בַּקֶּ֣בֶר חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ אֱ֝מֽוּנָתְךָ֗ בָּאֲבַדּֽוֹן׃

KJV ¹³ But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.

MAR ¹³ Connaîtra-t-on tes merveilles dans les ténèbres ; et ta justice au pays d'oubli ?

WLC ¹³ הֲיִוָּדַ֣ע בַּחֹ֣שֶׁךְ פִּלְאֶ֑ךָ וְ֝צִדְקָתְךָ֗ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ נְשִׁיָּֽה׃

KJV ¹⁴ LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?

MAR ¹⁴ Mais moi, ô Eternel ! je crie à toi, ma prière te prévient dès le matin.

WLC ¹⁴ וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ אֵלֶ֣יךָ יְהוָ֣ה שִׁוַּ֑עְתִּי וּ֝בַבֹּ֗קֶר תְּֽפִלָּתִ֥י תְקַדְּמֶֽךָּ׃

KJV ¹⁵ I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

MAR ¹⁵ Eternel ! pourquoi rejettes-tu mon âme, pourquoi caches-tu ta face de moi ?

WLC ¹⁵ לָמָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה תִּזְנַ֣ח נַפְשִׁ֑י תַּסְתִּ֖יר פָּנֶ֣יךָ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃

KJV ¹⁶ Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.

MAR ¹⁶ Je suis affligé et comme rendant l'esprit dès ma jeunesse ; j'ai été exposé à tes terreurs, et je ne sais où j'en suis.

WLC ¹⁶ עָ֘נִ֤י אֲנִ֣י וְגֹוֵ֣עַ מִנֹּ֑עַר נָשָׂ֖אתִי אֵמֶ֣יךָ אָפֽוּנָה׃

KJV ¹⁷ They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.

MAR ¹⁷ Les ardeurs de ta [colère] sont passées sur moi, et tes frayeurs m'ont retranché.

WLC ¹⁷ עָ֭לַי עָבְר֣וּ חֲרוֹנֶ֑יךָ בִּ֝עוּתֶ֗יךָ צִמְּתוּתֻֽנִי׃

KJV ¹⁸ Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

MAR ¹⁸ Ils m'ont tout le jour environné comme des eaux, ils m'ont entouré tous ensemble.

WLC ¹⁸ סַבּ֣וּנִי כַ֭מַּיִם כָּל־ הַיּ֑וֹם הִקִּ֖יפוּ עָלַ֣י יָֽחַד׃

MAR ¹⁹ Tu as éloigné de moi mon ami, même mon intime ami, et ceux de qui je suis connu me sont des ténèbres.

WLC ¹⁹ הִרְחַ֣קְתָּ מִ֭מֶּנִּי אֹהֵ֣ב וָרֵ֑עַ מְֽיֻדָּעַ֥י מַחְשָֽׁךְ׃
