DRB ² J'ai dit de l'Éternel : Il est ma confiance et mon lieu fort ; il est mon Dieu, je me confierai en lui.

KJV ² I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

WLC ² אֹמַ֗ר לַֽ֭יהוָה מַחְסִ֣י וּמְצוּדָתִ֑י אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אֶבְטַח־ בּֽוֹ׃

DRB ³ Car il te délivrera du piège de l'oiseleur, de la peste calamiteuse.

KJV ³ Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

WLC ³ כִּ֤י ה֣וּא יַ֭צִּֽילְךָ מִפַּ֥ח יָק֗וּשׁ מִדֶּ֥בֶר הַוּֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁴ Il te couvrira de ses plumes, et sous ses ailes tu auras un refuge ; sa vérité sera ton bouclier et ta rondache.

KJV ⁴ He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

WLC ⁴ בְּאֶבְרָת֨וֹ ׀ יָ֣סֶךְ לָ֭ךְ וְתַֽחַת־ כְּנָפָ֣יו תֶּחְסֶ֑ה צִנָּ֖ה וְֽסֹחֵרָ֣ה אֲמִתּֽוֹ׃

DRB ⁵ Tu n'auras pas peur des frayeurs de la nuit, ni de la flèche qui vole de jour,

KJV ⁵ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

WLC ⁵ לֹא־ תִ֭ירָא מִפַּ֣חַד לָ֑יְלָה מֵ֝חֵ֗ץ יָע֥וּף יוֹמָֽם׃

DRB ⁶ Ni de la peste qui marche dans les ténèbres, ni de la destruction qui dévaste en plein midi.

KJV ⁶ Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

WLC ⁶ מִ֭דֶּבֶר בָּאֹ֣פֶל יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ מִ֝קֶּ֗טֶב יָשׁ֥וּד צָהֳרָֽיִם׃

DRB ⁷ Il en tombera mille à ton côté, et dix mille à ta droite ; - toi, tu ne seras pas atteint.

KJV ⁷ A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

WLC ⁷ יִפֹּ֤ל מִצִּדְּךָ֨ ׀ אֶ֗לֶף וּרְבָבָ֥ה מִימִינֶ֑ךָ אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִגָּֽשׁ׃

DRB ⁸ Seulement tu contempleras de tes yeux, et tu verras la récompense des méchants.

KJV ⁸ Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

WLC ⁸ רַ֭ק בְּעֵינֶ֣יךָ תַבִּ֑יט וְשִׁלֻּמַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה׃

DRB ⁹ Parce que toi tu as mis l'Éternel, mon refuge, le Très haut, pour ta demeure,

KJV ⁹ Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

WLC ⁹ כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסִ֑י עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן שַׂ֣מְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽךָ׃

DRB ¹⁰ Aucun mal ne t'arrivera, et aucune plaie n'approchera de ta tente ;

KJV ¹⁰ There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

WLC ¹⁰ לֹֽא־ תְאֻנֶּ֣ה אֵלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה וְ֝נֶ֗גַע לֹא־ יִקְרַ֥ב בְּאָהֳלֶֽךָ׃

DRB ¹¹ Car il commandera à ses anges à ton sujet, de te garder en toutes tes voies :

KJV ¹¹ For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

DRB ¹² Ils te porteront sur leurs mains, de peur que tu ne heurtes ton pied* contre une pierre.

KJV ¹² They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

WLC ¹² עַל־ כַּפַּ֥יִם יִשָּׂא֑וּנְךָ פֶּן־ תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּאֶ֣בֶן רַגְלֶֽךָ׃

DRB ¹³ Tu marcheras sur le lion* et sur l'aspic, tu fouleras le lionceau et le dragon**.

KJV ¹³ Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

WLC ¹³ עַל־ שַׁ֣חַל וָפֶ֣תֶן תִּדְרֹ֑ךְ תִּרְמֹ֖ס כְּפִ֣יר וְתַנִּֽין׃

DRB ¹⁴ Parce qu'il a mis son affection sur moi, je le délivrerai ; je le mettrai en une haute retraite, parce qu'il a connu mon nom.

KJV ¹⁴ Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֤י בִ֣י חָ֭שַׁק וַאֲפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ אֲ֝שַׂגְּבֵ֗הוּ כִּֽי־ יָדַ֥ע שְׁמִֽי׃

DRB ¹⁵ Il m'invoquera, et je lui répondrai ; dans la détresse je serai avec lui ; je le délivrerai et le glorifierai.

KJV ¹⁵ He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

WLC ¹⁵ יִקְרָאֵ֨נִי ׀ וְֽאֶעֱנֵ֗הוּ עִמּֽוֹ־ אָנֹכִ֥י בְצָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלְּצֵ֗הוּ וַֽאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃

DRB ¹⁶ Je le rassasierai de longs jours, et je lui ferai voir mon salut.

KJV ¹⁶ With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

WLC ¹⁶ אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑הוּ וְ֝אַרְאֵ֗הוּ בִּֽישׁוּעָתִֽי׃
