Rm 2:12-16 (Annotée Neuchâtel)

¹² Car tous ceux qui auront péché sans la loi périront aussi sans la loi ; et tous ceux qui auront péché ayant la loi seront jugés par la loi.
¹³ Car ce ne sont pas ceux qui entendent lire la loi qui sont justes devant Dieu ; mais ceux qui mettent en pratique la loi seront justifiés.
¹⁴ Car lorsque des gentils, qui n'ont pas la loi, font naturellement ce que la loi commande, ces hommes, qui n'ont point la loi, sont une loi pour eux-mêmes ;
¹⁵ ils montrent, en effet, que l'oeuvre commandée par la loi est écrite dans leur coeur ; leur conscience joignant son témoignage, et leurs pensées tantôt les accusant, tantôt aussi les défendant ;
¹⁶ c'est ce qui apparaîtra le jour où Dieu jugera par Jésus-Christ les oeuvres secrètes des hommes selon mon évangile.

Rm 2:12-16 (King James)

¹² For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
¹³ (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
¹⁴ For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
¹⁵ Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
¹⁶ In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
