Rm 2:12-16 (King James)

¹² For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
¹³ (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
¹⁴ For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
¹⁵ Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
¹⁶ In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

¹² Tous ceux qui ont péché sans la loi périront aussi sans la loi, et tous ceux qui ont péché avec la loi seront jugés par la loi.
¹³ Ce ne sont pas, en effet, ceux qui écoutent la loi qui sont justes devant Dieu, mais ce sont ceux qui la mettent en pratique qui seront justifiés.
¹⁴ Quand les païens, qui n'ont point la loi, font naturellement ce que prescrit la loi, ils sont, eux qui n'ont point la loi, une loi pour eux-mêmes;
¹⁵ ils montrent que l'œuvre de la loi est écrite dans leur cœur, leur conscience en rendant témoignage, et leurs pensées s'accusant ou se défendant tour à tour.
¹⁶ C'est ce qui paraîtra au jour où, selon mon Evangile, Dieu jugera par Jésus-Christ les actions secrètes des hommes.

¹² Quicumque enim sine lege peccaverunt, sine lege peribunt : et quicumque in lege peccaverunt, per legem judicabuntur.
¹³ Non enim auditores legis justi sunt apud Deum, sed factores legis justificabuntur.
¹⁴ Cum autem gentes, quæ legem non habent, naturaliter ea, quæ legis sunt, faciunt, ejusmodi legem non habentes, ipsi sibi sunt lex :
¹⁵ qui ostendunt opus legis scriptum in cordibus suis, testimonium reddente illis conscientia ipsorum, et inter se invicem cogitationibus accusantibus, aut etiam defendentibus,
