WLC ¹ וַיְהִ֛י דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ² Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : Je suis animé pour Sion d'un grand zèle ; je suis animé pour elle d'une grande fureur.

KJV ² Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

WLC ² כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת קִנֵּ֥אתִי לְצִיּ֖וֹן קִנְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֑ה וְחֵמָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה קִנֵּ֥אתִי לָֽהּ׃

BCC ³ Ainsi parle Yahweh : Je suis revenu à Sion et je veux habiter au milieu de Jérusalem ; Jérusalem sera appelée la ville de vérité, et la montagne de Yahweh des armées, montagne de sainteté.

KJV ³ Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.

WLC ³ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה שַׁ֚בְתִּי אֶל־ צִיּ֔וֹן וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֖י בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְנִקְרְאָ֤ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִ֣יר־ הָֽאֱמֶ֔ת וְהַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת הַ֥ר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

BCC ⁴ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : il y aura de nouveau des vieillards et des femmes âgées assis sur les places de Jérusalem, chacun son bâton à la main, à cause du grand nombre de leurs jours.

KJV ⁴ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

WLC ⁴ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת עֹ֤ד יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ זְקֵנִ֣ים וּזְקֵנ֔וֹת בִּרְחֹב֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְאִ֧ישׁ מִשְׁעַנְתּ֛וֹ בְּיָד֖וֹ מֵרֹ֥ב יָמִֽים׃

BCC ⁵ Les places de la ville seront remplies de jeunes garçons et de jeunes filles jouant sur ses places.

KJV ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

WLC ⁵ וּרְחֹב֤וֹת הָעִיר֙ יִמָּ֣לְא֔וּ יְלָדִ֖ים וִֽילָד֑וֹת מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים בִּרְחֹֽבֹתֶֽיהָ׃

BCC ⁶ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : si cela paraît merveilleux aux yeux du reste de ce peuple, en ces jours-là, cela sera-t-il merveilleux aussi à mes yeux, ‒ oracle de Yahweh des armées ?

KJV ⁶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.

WLC ⁶ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת כִּ֣י יִפָּלֵ֗א בְּעֵינֵי֙ שְׁאֵרִית֙ הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה בַּיָּמִ֖ים הָהֵ֑ם גַּם־ בְּעֵינַי֙ יִפָּלֵ֔א נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

BCC ⁷ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : voici que je vais délivrer mon peuple du pays de l'orient et du pays du soleil couchant.

KJV ⁷ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

WLC ⁷ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י מוֹשִׁ֛יעַ אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִזְרָ֑ח וּמֵאֶ֖רֶץ מְב֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃

BCC ⁸ Je les amènerai et ils habiteront au milieu de Jérusalem ; ils seront mon peuple, et moi je serai leur Dieu, avec vérité et justice.

KJV ⁸ And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

WLC ⁸ וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י אֹתָ֔ם וְשָׁכְנ֖וּ בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְהָיוּ־ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים בֶּאֱמֶ֖ת וּבִצְדָקָֽה׃

BCC ⁹ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : que vos mains se fortifient, vous qui entendez en ces jours ces paroles de la bouche des prophètes qui ont parlé au jour où fut fondée la maison de Yahweh des armées, pour que le temple soit rebâti.

KJV ⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

WLC ⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ תֶּחֱזַ֣קְנָה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם הַשֹּֽׁמְעִים֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֵ֖ת הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה מִפִּי֙ הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים אֲ֠שֶׁר בְּי֞וֹם יֻסַּ֨ד בֵּית־ יְהוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת הַהֵיכָ֖ל לְהִבָּנֽוֹת׃

BCC ¹⁰ Car, avant ces jours-là, il n'y avait point de salaire pour les hommes, point de salaire pour le bétail, point de sûreté contre l'ennemi pour ceux qui sortaient et entraient, et j'avais lâché tous les hommes les uns contre les autres.

KJV ¹⁰ For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֗י לִפְנֵי֙ הַיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם שְׂכַ֤ר הָֽאָדָם֙ לֹ֣א נִֽהְיָ֔ה וּשְׂכַ֥ר הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֵינֶ֑נָּה וְלַיּוֹצֵ֨א וְלַבָּ֤א אֵין־ שָׁלוֹם֙ מִן־ הַצָּ֔ר וַאֲשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־ כָּל־ הָאָדָ֖ם אִ֥ישׁ בְּרֵעֵֽהוּ׃

BCC ¹¹ Mais maintenant, je ne suis plus, moi, à l'égard du reste de ce peuple comme aux jours d'autrefois, ‒ oracle de Yahweh des armées.

KJV ¹¹ But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

WLC ¹¹ וְעַתָּ֗ה לֹ֣א כַיָּמִ֤ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים֙ אֲנִ֔י לִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

BCC ¹² Car la semence prospérera, la vigne donnera son fruit, la terre donnera ses produits, les cieux donneront leur rosée, et je mettrai le reste de ce peuple en possession de toutes ces choses.

KJV ¹² For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

WLC ¹² כִּֽי־ זֶ֣רַע הַשָּׁל֗וֹם הַגֶּ֜פֶן תִּתֵּ֤ן פִּרְיָהּ֙ וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ תִּתֵּ֣ן אֶת־ יְבוּלָ֔הּ וְהַשָּׁמַ֖יִם יִתְּנ֣וּ טַלָּ֑ם וְהִנְחַלְתִּ֗י אֶת־ שְׁאֵרִ֛ית הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵֽלֶּה׃

BCC ¹³ Et il arrivera : comme vous avez été malédiction parmi les mations, maison de Juda et maison d'Israël, ainsi je vous délivrerai, et vous serez bénédiction ! Ne craignez point, que vos mains se fortifient !

KJV ¹³ And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

WLC ¹³ וְהָיָ֡ה כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ הֱיִיתֶ֨ם קְלָלָ֜ה בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם בֵּ֤ית יְהוּדָה֙ וּבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֵּ֚ן אוֹשִׁ֣יעַ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וִהְיִיתֶ֖ם בְּרָכָ֑ה אַל־ תִּירָ֖אוּ תֶּחֱזַ֥קְנָה יְדֵיכֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁴ Car ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : comme J'ai eu le dessein de vous faire du mal lorsque vos pères provoquaient ma colère, dit Yahweh des armées, et que je ne m'en suis pas repenti,

KJV ¹⁴ For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר זָמַמְ֜תִּי לְהָרַ֣ע לָכֶ֗ם בְּהַקְצִ֤יף אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ אֹתִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְלֹ֖א נִחָֽמְתִּי׃

BCC ¹⁵ ainsi j'ai en ces jours-ci, au contraire, le dessein de faire du bien à Jérusalem et à la maison de Juda ; ne craignez point !

KJV ¹⁵ So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

WLC ¹⁵ כֵּ֣ן שַׁ֤בְתִּי זָמַ֙מְתִּי֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה לְהֵיטִ֥יב אֶת־ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם וְאֶת־ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה אַל־ תִּירָֽאוּ׃

BCC ¹⁶ Voici les paroles que vous observerez : Dites la vérité, chacun à votre prochain rendez la justice dans vos portes selon la vérité et pour la paix ;

KJV ¹⁶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

WLC ¹⁶ אֵ֥לֶּה הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּֽעֲשׂ֑וּ דַּבְּר֤וּ אֱמֶת֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־ רֵעֵ֔הוּ אֱמֶת֙ וּמִשְׁפַּ֣ט שָׁל֔וֹם שִׁפְט֖וּ בְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁷ ne méditez pas dans vos coeurs le mal les uns des autres ; et n'aimez pas le faux serment ; car ce sont là toutes choses que je hais, ‒ oracle de Yahweh.

KJV ¹⁷ And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

WLC ¹⁷ וְאִ֣ישׁ ׀ אֶת־ רָעַ֣ת רֵעֵ֗הוּ אַֽל־ תַּחְשְׁבוּ֙ בִּלְבַבְכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבֻ֥עַת שֶׁ֖קֶר אַֽל־ תֶּאֱהָ֑בוּ כִּ֧י אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵ֛לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂנֵ֖אתִי נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ¹⁸ La parole de Yahweh des armées me fut adressée en ces termes :

KJV ¹⁸ And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,

WLC ¹⁸ וַיְהִ֛י דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ¹⁹ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : le jeûne du quatrième mois, le jeûne du cinquième, le jeune du septième et le jeûne du dixième mois seront changés pour la maison de Juda en réjouissance et en allégresse, et en solennités joyeuses.

KJV ¹⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

WLC ¹⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת צ֣וֹם הָרְבִיעִ֡י וְצ֣וֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי֩ וְצ֨וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י וְצ֣וֹם הָעֲשִׂירִ֗י יִהְיֶ֤ה לְבֵית־ יְהוּדָה֙ לְשָׂשׂ֣וֹן וּלְשִׂמְחָ֔ה וּֽלְמֹעֲדִ֖ים טוֹבִ֑ים וְהָאֱמֶ֥ת וְהַשָּׁל֖וֹם אֱהָֽבוּ׃

BCC ²⁰ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : il viendra encore des peuples et des habitants d'un grand nombre de villes.

KJV ²⁰ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

WLC ²⁰ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת עֹ֚ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָבֹ֣אוּ עַמִּ֔ים וְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י עָרִ֥ים רַבּֽוֹת׃

BCC ²¹ Les habitants de l'une iront à l'autre, en disant "allons, allons implorer Yahweh et chercher Yahweh des armées !"

KJV ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

WLC ²¹ וְֽהָלְכ֡וּ יֹשְׁבֵי֩ אַחַ֨ת אֶל־ אַחַ֜ת לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵלְכָ֤ה הָלוֹךְ֙ לְחַלּוֹת֙ אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת אֵלְכָ֖ה גַּם־ אָֽנִי׃

BCC ²² ‒ "Moi aussi, je veux aller !" Des peuples nombreux et de puissantes nations viendront chercher Yahweh des armées à Jérusalem et implorer Yahweh.

KJV ²² Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

WLC ²² וּבָ֨אוּ עַמִּ֤ים רַבִּים֙ וְגוֹיִ֣ם עֲצוּמִ֔ים לְבַקֵּ֛שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וּלְחַלּ֖וֹת אֶת־ פְּנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ²³ Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : En ces jours-là, dix hommes de toutes les langues des nations saisiront, oui, saisiront le pan de la robe d'un Juif en disant : nous voulons aller aussi avec vous, car nous avons appris que Dieu est avec vous."

KJV ²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

WLC ²³ כֹּ֥ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔מָּה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַחֲזִ֙יקוּ֙ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִכֹּ֖ל לְשֹׁנ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְֽהֶחֱזִ֡יקוּ בִּכְנַף֩ אִ֨ישׁ יְהוּדִ֜י לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵֽלְכָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים עִמָּכֶֽם׃
