BAN ¹ Et le roi Salomon régna sur tout Israël.

BAN ² Et voici quels étaient ses principaux dignitaires : Azaria, fils de Tsadok, était le sacrificateur ;

KJV ² And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

WLC ² וְאֵ֥לֶּה הַשָּׂרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁר־ ל֑וֹ עֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־ צָד֖וֹק הַכֹּהֵֽן׃

BAN ³ Elihoreph et Ahija, fils de Sisa, étaient secrétaires. Jéhosaphat, fils d'Ahilud, était rédacteur des chroniques ;

KJV ³ Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

WLC ³ אֱלִיחֹ֧רֶף וַאֲחִיָּ֛ה בְּנֵ֥י שִׁישָׁ֖א סֹפְרִ֑ים יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־ אֲחִיל֖וּד הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃

BAN ⁴ Bénaïa, fils de Jéhojada, était chef de l'armée ; Tsadok et Abiathar étaient sacrificateurs ;

KJV ⁴ And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

WLC ⁴ וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ בֶן־ יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע עַל־ הַצָּבָ֑א וְצָד֥וֹק וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר כֹּהֲנִֽים׃

BAN ⁵ Azaria, fils de Nathan, était chef des intendants, et Zabud, fils de Nathan, sacrificateur, était conseiller intime du roi.

KJV ⁵ And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

WLC ⁵ וַעֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־ נָתָ֖ן עַל־ הַנִּצָּבִ֑ים וְזָב֧וּד בֶּן־ נָתָ֛ן כֹּהֵ֖ן רֵעֶ֥ה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

BAN ⁶ Ahisar était intendant du palais, et Adoniram, fils d'Abda, préposé aux impôts.

KJV ⁶ And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

WLC ⁶ וַאֲחִישָׁ֖ר עַל־ הַבָּ֑יִת וַאֲדֹנִירָ֥ם בֶּן־ עַבְדָּ֖א עַל־ הַמַּֽס׃

BAN ⁷ Et Salomon avait douze intendants établis sur tout Israël, et ils pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi et de sa maison, et chacun d'eux était chargé de cet entretien pendant un mois de l'année.

KJV ⁷ And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

WLC ⁷ וְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֞ה שְׁנֵים־ עָשָׂ֤ר נִצָּבִים֙ עַל־ כָּל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְכִלְכְּל֥וּ אֶת־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְאֶת־ בֵּית֑וֹ חֹ֧דֶשׁ בַּשָּׁנָ֛ה יִהְיֶ֥ה עַל־ לְכַלְכֵּֽל׃

BAN ⁸ Et voici leurs noms : Le fils de Hur dans la montagne d'Ephraïm.

KJV ⁸ And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

WLC ⁸ וְאֵ֣לֶּה שְׁמוֹתָ֔ם בֶּן־ ח֖וּר בְּהַ֥ר אֶפְרָֽיִם׃

BAN ⁹ Le fils de Déker, à Makats, à Saalbim, à Beth-Sémès, à Elon de Beth-Hanan ;

KJV ⁹ The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

WLC ⁹ בֶּן־ דֶּ֛קֶר בְּמָקַ֥ץ וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֖ים וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ וְאֵיל֖וֹן בֵּ֥ית חָנָֽן׃

BAN ¹⁰ Le fils de Hésed à Arubboth ; il avait Socho et tout le pays de Hépher.

KJV ¹⁰ The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

WLC ¹⁰ בֶּן־ חֶ֖סֶד בָּֽאֲרֻבּ֑וֹת ל֥וֹ שֹׂכֹ֖ה וְכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ חֵֽפֶר׃

BAN ¹¹ Le fils d'Abinadab avait toutes les hauteurs de Dor. Taphath, fille de Salomon, était sa femme.

KJV ¹¹ The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

WLC ¹¹ בֶּן־ אֲבִֽינָדָ֖ב כָּל־ נָ֣פַת דֹּ֑אר טָפַת֙ בַּת־ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה הָ֥יְתָה לּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

BAN ¹² Baana, fils d'Ahilud, avait Thaanac et Méguiddo et tout Beth-Séan qui est près de Tsarthan, au-dessous de Jizréel, depuis Beth-Séan jusqu'à Abel-Méhola, jusqu'au-delà de Jokméam.

KJV ¹² Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

WLC ¹² בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן־ אֲחִיל֔וּד תַּעְנַ֖ךְ וּמְגִדּ֑וֹ וְכָל־ בֵּ֣ית שְׁאָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ אֵ֨צֶל צָרְתַ֜נָה מִתַּ֣חַת לְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל מִבֵּ֤ית שְׁאָן֙ עַ֚ד אָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה עַ֖ד מֵעֵ֥בֶר לְיָקְמֳעָֽם׃

BAN ¹³ Le fils de Guéber, à Ramoth de Galaad ; il avait les bourgs de Jaïr, fils de Manassé, qui sont en Galaad ; il avait aussi la contrée d'Argob, en Basan, soixante grandes villes à murailles et à barres d'airain.

KJV ¹³ The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

WLC ¹³ בֶּן־ גֶּ֖בֶר בְּרָמֹ֣ת גִּלְעָ֑ד ל֡וֹ חַוֺּת֩ יָאִ֨יר בֶּן־ מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּגִּלְעָ֗ד ל֚וֹ חֶ֤בֶל אַרְגֹּב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּבָּשָׁ֔ן שִׁשִּׁים֙ עָרִ֣ים גְּדֹל֔וֹת חוֹמָ֖ה וּבְרִ֥יחַ נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃

BAN ¹⁴ Ahinadab, fils d'Iddo, à Mahanaïm.

KJV ¹⁴ Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

WLC ¹⁴ אֲחִֽינָדָ֥ב בֶּן־ עִדֹּ֖א מַחֲנָֽיְמָה׃

BAN ¹⁵ Ahimaats, en Nephthali ; lui aussi avait pris pour femme une fille de Salomon, Basmath.

KJV ¹⁵ Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

WLC ¹⁵ אֲחִימַ֖עַץ בְּנַפְתָּלִ֑י גַּם־ ה֗וּא לָקַ֛ח אֶת־ בָּשְׂמַ֥ת בַּת־ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

BAN ¹⁶ Baana, fils de Chusaï, en Asser et à Aloth.

KJV ¹⁶ Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

WLC ¹⁶ בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן־ חוּשָׁ֔י בְּאָשֵׁ֖ר וּבְעָלֽוֹת׃

BAN ¹⁷ Jéhosaphat, fils de Paruach, en Issacar.

KJV ¹⁷ Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

BAN ¹⁸ Siméi, fils d'Ela, en Benjamin.

KJV ¹⁸ Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

WLC ¹⁸ שִׁמְעִ֥י בֶן־ אֵלָ֖א בְּבִנְיָמִֽן׃

BAN ¹⁹ Guéber, fils d'Uri, dans le pays de Galaad, le pays de Sihon, roi des Amorrhéens, et de Og, roi de Basan ; il y avait un seul intendant pour tout ce pays-là.

KJV ¹⁹ Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

WLC ¹⁹ גֶּ֥בֶר בֶּן־ אֻרִ֖י בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גִּלְעָ֑ד אֶ֜רֶץ סִיח֣וֹן ׀ מֶ֣לֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִ֗י וְעֹג֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ הַבָּשָׁ֔ן וּנְצִ֥יב אֶחָ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

BAN ²⁰ Juda et Israël étaient nombreux comme le sable qui est au bord de la mer, et ils mangeaient, buvaient et se réjouissaient.

KJV ²⁰ Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

WLC ²⁰ יְהוּדָ֤ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ רַבִּ֔ים כַּח֥וֹל אֲשֶׁר־ עַל־ הַיָּ֖ם לָרֹ֑ב אֹכְלִ֥ים וְשֹׁתִ֖ים וּשְׂמֵחִֽים׃

BAN ²¹ Et Salomon dominait sur tous les royaumes, depuis le fleuve jusqu'au pays des Philistins et à la frontière d'Egypte ; ils payaient tribut et ils furent assujettis à Salomon tout le temps de sa vie.

KJV ²¹ And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

BAN ²² Et l'ordinaire de Salomon pour un jour était de trente cors de fleur de farine, et soixante cors de farine ;

KJV ²² And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

BAN ²³ dix boeufs gras et vingt boeufs venant des pâturages, et cent moutons, sans compter les cerfs, les gazelles, les daims et les volailles engraissées.

KJV ²³ Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

BAN ²⁴ Car il dominait sur tout le pays en-deçà du fleuve, depuis Thiphsach jusqu'à Gaza, sur tous les rois en-deçà du fleuve, et il avait la paix avec tous ses sujets de tous côtés.

KJV ²⁴ For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

BAN ²⁵ Et Juda et Israël habitaient en sécurité, chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, depuis Dan jusqu'à Béerséba, pendant toute la vie de Salomon.

KJV ²⁵ And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

BAN ²⁶ Et Salomon avait quarante mille stalles pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars et douze mille chevaux de selle.

KJV ²⁶ And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

BAN ²⁷ Et les intendants pourvoyaient, chacun durant son mois, à l'entretien du roi Salomon et de tous ceux qui étaient admis à la table du roi Salomon ; ils ne laissaient rien manquer.

KJV ²⁷ And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

BAN ²⁸ Et ils faisaient venir de l'orge et de la paille pour les chevaux de trait et de course au lieu où il résidait, chacun à son tour.

KJV ²⁸ Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

BAN ²⁹ Et Dieu donna à Salomon de la sagesse et une très grande intelligence, et une étendue d'esprit comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer.

KJV ²⁹ And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

BAN ³⁰ Et la sagesse de Salomon surpassait la sagesse de tous les fils de l'Orient et toute la sagesse de l'Egypte.

KJV ³⁰ And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

BAN ³¹ Et il était plus sage qu'aucun homme, plus qu'Ethan, l'Ezrachite, plus qu'Héman, Calcol et Darda, les fils de Mahol ; et il était renommé parmi toutes les nations d'alentour.

KJV ³¹ For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

BAN ³² Et il prononça trois mille maximes, et ses cantiques furent au nombre de mille et cinq.

KJV ³² And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

BAN ³³ Et il parla des arbres, depuis le cèdre qui croît au Liban jusqu'à l'hysope qui sort de la muraille ; et il parla aussi des quadrupèdes, des oiseaux, des reptiles et des poissons.

KJV ³³ And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

BAN ³⁴ Et de tous les peuples, on venait pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon, de la part de tous les rois de la terre qui avaient entendu parler de sa sagesse.

KJV ³⁴ And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
