DRB ² Une cruelle vision m'est révélée : Le perfide agit perfidement, et le destructeur détruit. Monte, Élam ! assiège, Médie ! J'ai fait cesser tout son gémissement*.

KJV ² A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.

WLC ² חָז֥וּת קָשָׁ֖ה הֻגַּד־ לִ֑י הַבּוֹגֵ֤ד ׀ בּוֹגֵד֙ וְהַשּׁוֹדֵ֣ד ׀ שׁוֹדֵ֔ד עֲלִ֤י עֵילָם֙ צוּרִ֣י מָדַ֔י כָּל־ אַנְחָתָ֖ה הִשְׁבַּֽתִּי׃

DRB ³ C'est pourquoi mes reins sont remplis de douleur ; des angoisses m'ont saisi comme les angoisses de celle qui enfante ; je suis courbé, à ne pas entendre* ; je suis terrifié à n'y pas voir** ;

KJV ³ Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.

WLC ³ עַל־ כֵּ֗ן מָלְא֤וּ מָתְנַי֙ חַלְחָלָ֔ה צִירִ֣ים אֲחָז֔וּנִי כְּצִירֵ֖י יֽוֹלֵדָ֑ה נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי מִשְּׁמֹ֔עַ נִבְהַ֖לְתִּי מֵרְאֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁴ mon cœur bat* ; le tremblement s'est emparé de moi ; la nuit de mon plaisir, il me l'a changée en effroi.

KJV ⁴ My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.

WLC ⁴ תָּעָ֣ה לְבָבִ֔י פַּלָּצ֖וּת בִּֽעֲתָ֑תְנִי אֵ֚ת נֶ֣שֶׁף חִשְׁקִ֔י שָׂ֥ם לִ֖י לַחֲרָדָֽה׃

DRB ⁵ Dresse la table ; fais le guet ; mange, bois… Princes, levez-vous, oignez le bouclier !

DRB ⁷ Et elle vit un char*, une couple de cavaliers**, un char [attelé] d'ânes, un char [attelé] de chameaux. Et elle écouta diligemment, avec grande attention ;

DRB ⁹ Et voici, il vient un char* d'hommes, une couple de cavaliers ! Et il répondit, et dit : Babylone est tombée, elle est tombée, et toutes les images de ses dieux sont brisées par terre.

KJV ¹³ The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.

DRB ¹⁴ Les habitants du pays de Théma viennent avec leur pain au-devant de celui qui fuit ;

KJV ¹⁴ The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.

DRB ¹⁵ car ils s'enfuient devant les épées, devant l'épée dégainée, et devant l'arc tendu, et devant le poids de la guerre.

KJV ¹⁵ For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּֽי־ מִפְּנֵ֥י חֲרָב֖וֹת נָדָ֑דוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י ׀ חֶ֣רֶב נְטוּשָׁ֗ה וּמִפְּנֵי֙ קֶ֣שֶׁת דְּרוּכָ֔ה וּמִפְּנֵ֖י כֹּ֥בֶד מִלְחָמָֽה׃

DRB ¹⁶ Car ainsi m'a dit le Seigneur : Encore une année comme les années d'un mercenaire, et toute la gloire de Kédar aura pris fin,

KJV ¹⁶ For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

WLC ¹⁶ כִּי־ כֹ֛ה אָמַ֥ר אֲדֹנָ֖י אֵלָ֑י בְּע֤וֹד שָׁנָה֙ כִּשְׁנֵ֣י שָׂכִ֔יר וְכָלָ֖ה כָּל־ כְּב֥וֹד קֵדָֽר׃

DRB ¹⁷ et le reste du nombre des archers des hommes forts des fils de Kédar sera amoindri ; car l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, a parlé.

KJV ¹⁷ And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
