DRB ¹ Voici, un roi régnera en justice, et des princes domineront avec droiture ;

KJV ¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

WLC ¹ הֵ֥ן לְצֶ֖דֶק יִמְלָךְ־ מֶ֑לֶךְ וּלְשָׂרִ֖ים לְמִשְׁפָּ֥ט יָשֹֽׂרוּ׃

DRB ² et il y aura un homme [qui sera] comme une protection contre le vent et un abri contre l'orage, comme des ruisseaux d'eau dans un lieu sec, comme l'ombre d'un grand rocher dans un pays aride.

KJV ² And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

WLC ² וְהָיָה־ אִ֥ישׁ כְּמַֽחֲבֵא־ ר֖וּחַ וְסֵ֣תֶר זָ֑רֶם כְּפַלְגֵי־ מַ֣יִם בְּצָי֔וֹן כְּצֵ֥ל סֶֽלַע־ כָּבֵ֖ד בְּאֶ֥רֶץ עֲיֵפָֽה׃

DRB ³ Et les yeux de ceux qui voient ne seront pas aveuglés, et les oreilles de ceux qui entendent écouteront,

KJV ³ And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

WLC ³ וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁעֶ֖ינָה עֵינֵ֣י רֹאִ֑ים וְאָזְנֵ֥י שֹׁמְעִ֖ים תִּקְשַֽׁבְנָה׃

DRB ⁴ et le cœur de ceux qui vont étourdiment sera intelligent dans la connaissance, et la langue de ceux qui bégaient parlera promptement et clairement*.

KJV ⁴ The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

WLC ⁴ וּלְבַ֥ב נִמְהָרִ֖ים יָבִ֣ין לָדָ֑עַת וּלְשׁ֣וֹן עִלְּגִ֔ים תְּמַהֵ֖ר לְדַבֵּ֥ר צָחֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁵ L'homme vil ne sera plus appelé noble, et on ne dira pas l'avare généreux.

KJV ⁵ The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

WLC ⁵ לֹֽא־ יִקָּרֵ֥א ע֛וֹד לְנָבָ֖ל נָדִ֑יב וּלְכִילַ֕י לֹ֥א יֵֽאָמֵ֖ר שֽׁוֹעַ׃

DRB ⁶ Car l'homme vil dira des choses viles, et son cœur commettra l'iniquité pour pratiquer l'impiété* et pour dire l'erreur contre l'Éternel, pour rendre vide l'âme qui a faim et ôter la boisson à celui qui a soif.

KJV ⁶ For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

WLC ⁶ כִּ֤י נָבָל֙ נְבָלָ֣ה יְדַבֵּ֔ר וְלִבּ֖וֹ יַעֲשֶׂה־ אָ֑וֶן לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת חֹ֗נֶף וּלְדַבֵּ֤ר אֶל־ יְהוָה֙ תּוֹעָ֔ה לְהָרִיק֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ רָעֵ֔ב וּמַשְׁקֶ֥ה צָמֵ֖א יַחְסִֽיר׃

DRB ⁷ Les armes de l'avare sont mauvaises ; il trame des artifices pour détruire les débonnaires par des dires mensongers, même quand le pauvre parle droitement.

KJV ⁷ The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

WLC ⁷ וְכֵלַ֖י כֵּלָ֣יו רָעִ֑ים ה֚וּא זִמּ֣וֹת יָעָ֔ץ לְחַבֵּ֤ל בְּאִמְרֵי־ שֶׁ֔קֶר וּבְדַבֵּ֥ר אֶבְי֖וֹן מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

DRB ⁸ Mais l'homme noble se propose des choses nobles, et il se maintiendra par* des choses nobles.

KJV ⁸ But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

WLC ⁸ וְנָדִ֖יב נְדִיב֣וֹת יָעָ֑ץ וְה֖וּא עַל־ נְדִיב֥וֹת יָקֽוּם׃

DRB ⁹ Levez-vous, femmes qui êtes à votre aise, écoutez ma voix ; vous filles qui vivez en sécurité, prêtez l'oreille à ce que je dis :

KJV ⁹ Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.

WLC ⁹ נָשִׁים֙ שַֽׁאֲנַנּ֔וֹת קֹ֖מְנָה שְׁמַ֣עְנָה קוֹלִ֑י בָּנוֹת֙ בֹּֽטח֔וֹת הַאְזֵ֖נָּה אִמְרָתִֽי׃

DRB ¹⁰ Dans un an et des jours vous serez agitées, vous qui êtes en sécurité ; car c'en est fait de la vendange, la récolte ne viendra pas.

KJV ¹⁰ Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

WLC ¹⁰ יָמִים֙ עַל־ שָׁנָ֔ה תִּרְגַּ֖זְנָה בֹּֽטְח֑וֹת כִּ֚י כָּלָ֣ה בָצִ֔יר אֹ֖סֶף בְּלִ֥י יָבֽוֹא׃

DRB ¹¹ Tremblez, vous femmes qui êtes à votre aise ; soyez agitées, vous qui vivez en sécurité. Dépouillez-vous, et mettez-vous nues, et ceignez [le sac] sur vos reins.

KJV ¹¹ Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.

WLC ¹¹ חִרְדוּ֙ שַֽׁאֲנַנּ֔וֹת רְגָ֖זָה בֹּֽטְח֑וֹת פְּשֹׁ֣טָֽה וְעֹ֔רָה וַחֲג֖וֹרָה עַל־ חֲלָצָֽיִם׃

DRB ¹² On se frappe la poitrine* à cause des champs agréables, à cause des vignes fertiles.

KJV ¹² They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

WLC ¹² עַל־ שָׁדַ֖יִם סֹֽפְדִ֑ים עַל־ שְׂדֵי־ חֶ֕מֶד עַל־ גֶּ֖פֶן פֹּרִיָּֽה׃

DRB ¹³ Sur la terre de mon peuple croissent des épines et des ronces, même sur toutes les maisons de délices de la cité joyeuse.

KJV ¹³ Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:

WLC ¹³ עַ֚ל אַדְמַ֣ת עַמִּ֔י ק֥וֹץ שָׁמִ֖יר תַּֽעֲלֶ֑ה כִּ֚י עַל־ כָּל־ בָּתֵּ֣י מָשׂ֔וֹשׂ קִרְיָ֖ה עַלִּיזָֽה׃

DRB ¹⁴ Car le palais est délaissé, le tumulte de la ville est abandonné. Ophel* et la tour de la sentinelle seront des cavernes pour toujours, les délices des ânes sauvages, un pâturage des troupeaux,

KJV ¹⁴ Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

WLC ¹⁴ כִּֽי־ אַרְמ֣וֹן נֻטָּ֔שׁ הֲמ֥וֹן עִ֖יר עֻזָּ֑ב עֹ֣פֶל וָבַ֜חַן הָיָ֨ה בְעַ֤ד מְעָרוֹת֙ עַד־ עוֹלָ֔ם מְשׂ֥וֹשׂ פְּרָאִ֖ים מִרְעֵ֥ה עֲדָרִֽים׃

DRB ¹⁵ jusqu'à ce que l'Esprit soit répandu d'en haut sur nous, et que le désert devienne un champ fertile*, et que le champ fertile soit réputé une forêt.

KJV ¹⁵ Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

WLC ¹⁵ עַד־ יֵ֨עָרֶ֥ה עָלֵ֛ינוּ ר֖וּחַ מִמָּר֑וֹם וְהָיָ֤ה מִדְבָּר֙ לַכַּרְמֶ֔ל לַיַּ֥עַר יֵחָשֵֽׁב׃

DRB ¹⁶ Et la droiture demeurera dans le désert, et la justice habitera le champ fertile ;

KJV ¹⁶ Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

WLC ¹⁶ וְשָׁכַ֥ן בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה בַּכַּרְמֶ֥ל תֵּשֵֽׁב׃

DRB ¹⁷ et l'œuvre de la justice sera la paix, et le travail de la justice, repos et sécurité à toujours.

KJV ¹⁷ And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

WLC ¹⁷ וְהָיָ֛ה מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה הַצְּדָקָ֖ה שָׁל֑וֹם וַֽעֲבֹדַת֙ הַצְּדָקָ֔ה הַשְׁקֵ֥ט וָבֶ֖טַח עַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ¹⁸ Et mon peuple habitera une demeure de paix et des habitations sûres, et des lieux de repos tranquilles.

KJV ¹⁸ And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

WLC ¹⁸ וְיָשַׁ֥ב עַמִּ֖י בִּנְוֵ֣ה שָׁל֑וֹם וּֽבְמִשְׁכְּנוֹת֙ מִבְטַחִ֔ים וּבִמְנוּחֹ֖ת שַׁאֲנַנּֽוֹת׃

DRB ¹⁹ Et la grêle tombera sur la forêt, et la ville sera abaissée dans un lieu bas*.

KJV ¹⁹ When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

WLC ¹⁹ וּבָרַ֖ד בְּרֶ֣דֶת הַיָּ֑עַר וּבַשִּׁפְלָ֖ה תִּשְׁפַּ֥ל הָעִֽיר׃

DRB ²⁰ Bienheureux, vous qui semez près de toutes les eaux, envoyant [partout] le pied du bœuf et de l'âne !

KJV ²⁰ Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

WLC ²⁰ אַשְׁרֵיכֶ֕ם זֹרְעֵ֖י עַל־ כָּל־ מָ֑יִם מְשַׁלְּחֵ֥י רֶֽגֶל־ הַשּׁ֖וֹר וְהַחֲמֽוֹר׃
