VULC ² in Jerusalem.
Montes in circuitu ejus ;
et Dominus in circuitu populi sui,
ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.

KJV ³ Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

VULC ³ Quia non relinquet Dominus virgam peccatorum
super sortem justorum :
ut non extendant justi
ad iniquitatem manus suas,

KJV ⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

VULC ⁴ benefac, Domine, bonis,
et rectis corde.

KJV ⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

VULC ⁵ Declinantes autem in obligationes,
adducet Dominus cum operantibus iniquitatem.
Pax super Israël !]

KJV ⁶ Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

KJV ⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

KJV ⁸ Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
