VULC 1 Canticum graduum. [Qui confidunt in Domino, sicut mons Sion :
non commovebitur in æternum,
qui habitat

VULC 2 in Jerusalem.
Montes in circuitu ejus ;
et Dominus in circuitu populi sui,
ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.
KJV 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
VULC 3 Quia non relinquet Dominus virgam peccatorum
super sortem justorum :
ut non extendant justi
ad iniquitatem manus suas,
KJV 4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
VULC 4 benefac, Domine, bonis,
et rectis corde.
KJV 5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
VULC 5 Declinantes autem in obligationes,
adducet Dominus cum operantibus iniquitatem.

KJV 6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
KJV 7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
KJV 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
