KJV ¹ If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

WLC ¹ שִׁ֥יר הַֽמַּעֲל֗וֹת לְדָ֫וִ֥ד לוּלֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה שֶׁהָ֣יָה לָ֑נוּ יֹֽאמַר־ נָ֝א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ² If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

WLC ² לוּלֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה שֶׁהָ֣יָה לָ֑נוּ בְּק֖וּם עָלֵ֣ינוּ אָדָֽם׃

KJV ³ Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

WLC ³ אֲ֭זַי חַיִּ֣ים בְּלָע֑וּנוּ בַּחֲר֖וֹת אַפָּ֣ם בָּֽנוּ׃

KJV ⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

WLC ⁴ אֲ֭זַי הַמַּ֣יִם שְׁטָפ֑וּנוּ נַ֗֜חְלָה עָבַ֥ר עַל־ נַפְשֵֽׁנוּ׃

KJV ⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

WLC ⁵ אֲ֭זַי עָבַ֣ר עַל־ נַפְשֵׁ֑נוּ הַ֝מַּ֗יִם הַזֵּֽידוֹנִֽים׃

KJV ⁶ Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

WLC ⁶ בָּר֥וּךְ יְהוָ֑ה שֶׁלֹּ֥א נְתָנָ֥נוּ טֶ֝֗רֶף לְשִׁנֵּיהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

WLC ⁷ נַפְשֵׁ֗נוּ כְּצִפּ֥וֹר נִמְלְטָה֮ מִפַּ֪ח י֫וֹקְשִׁ֥ים הַפַּ֥ח נִשְׁבָּ֗ר וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ נִמְלָֽטְנוּ׃

KJV ⁸ Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

WLC ⁸ עֶ֭זְרֵנוּ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
