KJV 1 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

KJV 2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

VULC 2 [Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi ;
voce mea ad Deum, et intendit mihi.

KJV 3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

VULC 3 In die tribulationis meæ Deum exquisivi ;
manibus meis nocte contra eum, et non sum deceptus.
Renuit consolari anima mea ;

KJV 4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

VULC 4 memor fui Dei, et delectatus sum,
et exercitatus sum, et defecit spiritus meus.

KJV 5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

VULC 5 Anticipaverunt vigilias oculi mei ;
turbatus sum, et non sum locutus.

KJV 6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

VULC 6 Cogitavi dies antiquos,
et annos æternos in mente habui.

KJV 7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

VULC 7 Et meditatus sum nocte cum corde meo,
et exercitabar, et scopebam spiritum meum.

KJV 8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

VULC 8 Numquid in æternum projiciet Deus ?
aut non apponet ut complacitior sit adhuc ?

KJV 9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

a generatione in generationem ?

KJV 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

VULC 10 aut obliviscetur misereri Deus ?
aut continebit in ira sua misericordias suas ?

KJV 11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

VULC 11 Et dixi : Nunc cœpi ;
hæc mutatio dexteræ Excelsi.

KJV 12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

VULC 12 Memor fui operum Domini,
quia memor ero ab initio mirabilium tuorum :

VULC 13 et meditabor in omnibus operibus tuis,
et in adinventionibus tuis exercebor.

VULC 14 Deus, in sancto via tua :
quis deus magnus sicut Deus noster ?

VULC 15 Tu es Deus qui facis mirabilia :
notam fecisti in populis virtutem tuam.

VULC 16 Redemisti in brachio tuo populum tuum,
filios Jacob et Joseph.

VULC 17 Viderunt te aquæ, Deus ;
viderunt te aquæ, et timuerunt :
et turbatæ sunt abyssi.

VULC 18 Multitudo sonitus aquarum ;
vocem dederunt nubes.
Etenim sagittæ tuæ transeunt ;

VULC 19 vox tonitrui tui in rota.
Illuxerunt coruscationes tuæ orbi terræ ;
commota est, et contremuit terra.

VULC 20 In mari via tua, et semitæ tuæ in aquis multis,
et vestigia tua non cognoscentur.

VULC 21 Deduxisti sicut oves populum tuum,
in manu Moysi et Aaron.]
